I have to agree with a lot of other reviews, this app has a lot of challenges. If you navigate anywhere other than the main QR code, it goes blank and then the app populates with errors so you can't use it. The only way I have found to get the QR code back again to collect points is to completely restart my phone. Should be great, but some fundamental errors make it very difficult to rate above 1 star.

Subway has a good rewards scheme, but it's let down by this app. After a certain amount of (rather short) time, the app has decided to just stop working. The QR code doesn't show up and the only thing that gets it back is uninstalling and reinstalling. Now that quick fix isn't working. Also, the SubSquad has never worked for me and my friends, which is disappointing as we tend to eat at Subway a fair bit between us. Instead of adding new features (eg. ordering ahead) please fix the current ones.

The app used to work just fine. Then came the latest tranche of updates that appear to have fundamentally broken all levels of functionality within the app. When opening, the QR code fails to display. Clicking on My Points Balance in the menu gives nothing more than "Oops...Unknown Server Error. Please, restart app and try again. After several restarts of the app, and restarts of the phone, nothing has changed. Is this a simple case of Subway UK & Ireland reneging on their obligation to redeem points people have built up over the last weeks, months and years? If I were able to provide a zero star rating, I would.

This app is now absolutely useless. Many months ago, I would have no problem using this app but for a while now, the barcode doesn't even show so I can't use it to collect points and I lost my physical card many years back. I would always save up my points until I have enough to be able to get a free footlong but I haven't been able to do that in so long. I beg whoever's in charge of this app to please fix the servers because this problem has occured for far too long.

I find the app really easy to use. It is straightforward but it also does a good job of displaying many features about the business. The animation I see when checking my Subcard balance can drag on a bit if I have gained a lot of points from a recent transaction. However, it is only a minor inconvenience and is mostly quite a fun addition to an otherwise mundane feature.

Lost count of the amount of reinstalling I've had to do recently. There's meant to be offers on but if I manage to be able to use the card and check my points, trying to load the offers just breaks it. This has been going on for ages now, and the only change I've seen is that the double points have been removed! It's not really giving me much incentive to keep going back..

App used to be really good and worthy of 5 stars but it now just shows a blank qr code and a server error message when I try and look at my points. I had to get a receipt with a code on for me to be able to add my points but how I'll ever be able to claim them I don't know. This is obviously a widespread issue as so many people are having exactly same issue so subway need to sort it or they'll start losing custom.

Constantly crashes. Going to try and take a screenshot of the QR code as this may be more reliable... had to reinstall 3 times this week. Doesn't always load points balance or code at the till. Sort it out! Its not my network, it's your app that is the problem! Starting to think there are too many people taking advantage of this point system as hearing people have been "hacked" and lost points?!

App is broken. For weeks now any time I try to open it, whether at home or in a store, the initial page used to scan to get points comes up but the square is just white. And when I try to look at my points balance I just always get a dialogue box saying "oops" and suggesting and close the app and try again. Which doesn't work.

Easily the worst app on my phone. I don't usually even try opening it when I'm in Subway because it's so temperamental. I've just opened it to see what offers they have and it seemed to be working fine until I clicked on offers and got a blank screen - I know there are loads on for Christmas. I've been to Subway a few times recently, so it's annoying knowing I've been missing out on points and freebies.

Search facility doesn't work. Zero results show. I tried the map. Zero Subways in the whole country! Even if a store is not online or it is outside of opening hours, it would be nice to see where they are. Some of us like to plan ahead. No facility to pre-store favourite subs for future use so that ordering via the app can be done quickly. This is probably the worst app I've ever used (not that I could actually use it). ZERO FUNCTIONALITY.

I don't understand why this app doesnt work all the damned time. One minute it's fine and then BAM! The QR scanner isnt working, why? One time I installed the app onto a new phone and I tried to log in and it wouldnt so I had to set up a new card and recollect ALL of my points again, what's the point in an APP that doesnt work 100% all the time? 🙄 I would uninstall it but I'm hoping you'll sort the issue that everyone else and myself have with the APP this time round.

Reliable enough to use as a barcode at time of purchase, but doesn't update reliably enough to give a true overview of your recent activity and often it says Double Points and other offers are still available when they're not. The statement (recent transactions) is unnecessarily complicated and not intuitive for customers. Application filesize is very large for something that does very little.

There is absolutely no reason why I shouldn't be able to get to my QR code offline. Every time I start up the app to get points and don't have an Internet connection, the app crashes or hangs. This is such a simple fix and something that is the primary use case for most people, most of the time. Even letting me save my card to Android Pay would suffice! Simple usability issues like this hamper my use and make it such an infuriating experience.

Great idea; poorly executed. App is slow and clearly riddled with issues. I tried to order for collection, but every time I get to the checkout, I'm thrown back onto the homepage and any attempt to navigate to another page will show a "you will lose your order" pop-up. The main reason anyone would use this app is not functional.

PLEASE, PLEASE FIX THIS APP! It used to be good but I've had problems with it for a year. I'm getting fed up with the uninstall / reinstall 'solution' suggested by the support team for this 'intermittent' problem. If the fancy stuff you're developing breaks it then please revert to a simpler version that is usable and reliable. Its not only embarrassing when it's not working at the checkout, but it holds up other customers from being served. Not a great customer experience!

Slow and frustrating!! Stand in the queue getting served and can't concentrate on what the staff are asking because the stupid app doesn't want to load!! When it does load, it's good. The qr code makes it easy to collect the points (again, when it decides to load!) and I like that I can see what freebies I can get with the points I've collected.

Awful.....works once in a while and even then it has annoying little bugs. Amazingly, works fine right up to the point you are standing at the til of a subway with a queue of hungry people behind you, at that point the QR code suddenly becomes a huge secret and goes blank! Uninstall/Reinstall sorts it out but by then it's too late. The constant signing in problem has now somehow survived several updates too!

Looks like subway have really taken their eye off the ball. An app that just doesnt work. I cant access anything on the app except the offers page. My QR code is blank, so no way to scan in at the stores. I have tried uninstalling and the installing the app again and nothing works. Someone needs to sort it out as it's a pretty poor show. Having a loyalty card/app that hadn't worked on months

When it works, it's great. However, since the update on the 23rd of September, it's just not working at all. You can't log yourself back in, you can't scan your QR code, and if you're unlucky enough to of not had a subcard before the app... Well you're out of luck! Even more so if you lost said card. Luckily for me I took a screenshot of my QR code for the reasons of being low on data, so I'm still able to get points and free food on occasion. But, the app is now pointless. Please fix this.

Very poor. I started using the app a good while ago. It was very difficult to setup even when I was already registered through the web. It then worked fairly well for a while. Had a few times either the app wouldn't display the QR code or that the head office servers were down. This has now stopped working completely. Each time I try and get my QR code or check my balance I get a server error. I tried to give feedback through the app and it gave me a page in German. It's now unusable.

Use to work well. Now doesn't load the QR code to scan. Offers never come through. Keep getting a server error when trying to login. Have removed and reinstalled serveral times. No change. Have missed out on lots of points. Staff at branches seem to be well aware of the problems. Totally useless and frustrating.
