Sudoku

This is an excellent implementation of Sudoku. I play this on a Chromebook so I can resize the app wherever I want it on the screen. I can set it up to provide visual hints that are a huge help in reviewing lines and squares. It's just nice to use, and the ads are not obtrusive. Excellent version of the game. Update 2022 - Been using this game for sevral years now, still just as good as it always was.

"Medium" puzzles are sometimes too dificult and sometimes too easy. I suppose that is good as better challenges, but I get caught up with them for too long a period. Your puzzles are on the average tough compared to some of the other sites I have tried, Therefore I like the overall results and set up, including the presentation. The erase key is too far from the actual numbers and a cumulative ability on the erase tab would be nice to have for faster determination and correction of errors.

Great game, once I changed the layout. It had a few colours and I just kept getting confused. However, once I found the option to change it, it's a lot better. I like that it states the amount of each number used. Also that you can 'auto-fill' the pencil marks. I Don't like, that it doesn't inform you, when a digit is wrong. Unless you validate the game, at which point, you could have several wrong numbers.

I love this game. This game has barely any ads, making it to where you don't have to watch an ad every time you complete a puzzle, like most sudoku games do. You can even by no ads, and it is very cheap. There is a lot of modes, so it has a lot more replayability than already. Please download.

This is a very good version of Sudoku, and I generally like it very well. When working on EXTREME puzzles, I need to engage the "hint" feature due to my limited skills. But when needed, AI calculates the next move too quickly for me to follow and learn it. I would like the ability to REPLAY the hint slowly so I can follow the logic and learn the move. Thank you for a good game!

Love that the puzzles are challenging, but I don't have to know any hard to grasp techniques like swordfish, etc. I Do wish that the hint was easier to follow. I haven't been able to tell what the actual moves are. Wish I could undo it and let it play again, or that I could control when it moves to the next step.

Have had this game for years and it is wonderful. Easy to use and easy to change settings as needed. Puzzles are just as easy to win as they are to lose, and I never get frustrated with them. Saves a game for me when my breaks are over and I can go back to the same game or a new one at my next break. Definitely in the top five apps that I re-install with new phones!

My favorite Sudoku app. So easy to use. The controls are pretty obvious and basic, so it's easy to make notes in the square as well as change the notes to the right number. Also when you use a certain number all of the squares of that number turn blue so you don't miss any and make a mistake. I have been using this app for years and I don't think I will change Sudoku apps anytime soon.

Just works the way you would want it to. Ads are across the top and don't really bother me. Nice that if you need to get out of the app quick, it resumes when you reopen where you left off. It's just nice when you have a few minutes to kill , this opens quick picks up where you left off no matter how you closed it.

I enjoy this app, the menu is easy to navigate. I mostly play to just relax and have fun, so I don't enjoy being timed. I turn it off but, when you complete a puzzle it tells you how long it took and that bothers me. Thay is the only major flaw for me. And the fact that when I select a number it doesn't keep all highlighted in the puzzle, only highlights when you select a number in the puzzle big bummer!

Fun game to increase brain power and cognitive thinking skills. Ads are displayed at the end if the game, so they're not obnoxiously distracting. There are hints and validation helps if you get stuck. I've tried both easy and medium puzzles. Sometimes the easy are as hard or harder than the mediums. Keeps a record of your past times so you can gauge your progress. No annoying sounds, so you can play it anywhere. Good for grown-ups. No flash and dash.

Probably the best sudoku app for casual players out there. Very Clear and easy-to-use interface, enough options and customisations, possibility to add custom puzzles, it even lets you decide how you want to see the ads. Unfortunately, for more hard-core players, such as myself, the puzzles are a bit too much on the easy side but, as I've said, for the casual player it's an ideal app for their spare time.

I downloaded this app after perusing a long list of available sudoku games and am very happy with it. The ad bar is a constant minimal presence at the top of the screen. It does not interrupt play or take over your screen w/jarring music and graphics. For that alone I would give it 5 stars. So far, the play has been great. Lots of options on skill levels and I like that there is an option for clearing the board (Reset) or removing just errors. So far, so good! 😘

I'd give it 4.5 if I could :) Pretty simple, functional and ads are not too distracting. I think it could be improved if the original numbers are different to your inputted numbers so that if there is a mistake, you can tell the difference between your work (maybe grey) and the numbers generated (maybe black). I'd also like to be able to select an empty block without having a number below pre-selected.

It's all good- the game is what it's supposed to be: sudoku. It's easy to use, games can be paused and resumed, new games started any time and varying levels of difficulty can be selected. And after each game it shows how your time compared with your previous top scores. My only half-complaint is that the different (and changing) color boxes sometimes make it slightly more difficult to see the numbers quickly.

I love the plethora of customization options, both to display as well as game play. I wanted a sudoku app that would not necessarily tell me when I was in conflict with another space, and also one where it didn't highlight everything I tapped. Was able to customize this one to match. I like that it "feels" more like if I was doing it on paper

One of my go to games. Except for the occasional challenge game, I only play the hardest level. Rarely get stumped. Maybe they should have one more level of difficulty. That would be my only suggestion. I don't get any bugs or other issues. I appreciate not having to experience the onslaught of mind numbing ads that most other games have. Thank you for that.

the only thing I would like to add is the option to turn off the highlighting of the numbers in the whole grid when you put in a specific number. When you add a three where you think it needs to go, all the other threes get highlighted. This makes it too easy to select where the other threes go. I am happy working at the extreme level but I do like to challenge my observation skills. I also resist penciling in number combinations but the program is easy to work with when I give in.

Developer responded to a bug issue, which is an irritation, but easily fixable. Apart from that, this is one of the best sudoku apps I've used. I've had this about five years now, and I'm not inundated with terrible ads, and the app itself is intuitive, clean, really nice! I'd be happy to buy an ad free pro version. I'd recommend this over the others out there, and trust me, I've been through a LOT of them! Nice work!

They keep changing how difficult extreme really is. Some games I've finished in no time with no thought. I typically like a challenge, and when I actually get one, the hint is impossible to understand. They just start editing like 8 boxes worth of notes, and they do it really fast, there's no going back to replay the hint. It is also frustrating that I'll have 3 or 4 day stretches with games that are easy (on extreme level) and then an equal stretch with games that are actually hard.

1 star deducted for no dark mode. Heck, I'd be willing to pay extra for it if need be. Otherwise, this app is perfect. I love the variety of hints and settings for puzzle appearance. The writing icon is a little odd: I think it'd make more sense as pen and pencil instead of pencil and pencil with squiggle. I would gladly pay for this app if need be.

There are only a few reasons I don't rate this a 5. Actually, it is the best Sudoku currently available. Having said that I will list a few changes that could be made to make it the best. 1. Add a save/restore feature where a player could try options and then, if wrong, restore to a known correct configuration. 2. The Extreme level is not very hard I can usually finish it in 5-7 minutes. 3. Add variable size fields. Check the cancelled Google game for the best. Think it came from China.

Not bad! 👍You can tell a lot of work has gone into it. Would like to be able to pause the game (I haven't been able to find the function). Also, I like how you can tap the square to cancel pencilling in the square. It would be nice if the behaviour is the same for cancelling real input too, rather than having to tap a separate undo button.

A brilliant game. I've had it on different phones for years but always come back to it. I'm sure they used to have a feature on here where you could save the entries you had entered at a certain point, so that if you messed up and had to reset the game (as I occasionally have), that you don't have to clear everything back to the very beginning again, but only as far back as the last saved point. Otherwise, it's a great game.

I've been using this app for years! I love that it tells you the quantity of each number that's already on the board. I also like how it highlights the number when you click on one. Also the difficulties are great depending on what mood I'm in/how much I feel like focusing. Easy levels take me around 5 minutes and some expert levels have taken me 45+ minutes. Always my go-to distraction if I'm wanting to unwind after a long day

Love the puzzle options. Various levels of difficulty. Good settings to see errors if you wish. HOWEVER on my Samsung Tab A (10") both Across and Down clues were displayed on the same screen next to the puzzle in landscape mode. On two newer tablets, both Samsung 10", only one set of clues shows at a time with a big black box where the other set showed on the older tab. MUCH preferred being able to see both sets at the same time.

The mechanics are good (I really like the digit first functionality) but the puzzles aren't hard enough. I'm an experienced Sudoku player but not an expert by any stretch. I just completed an "Extreme" puzzle in 4:45 with never taking notes for one of the digits. I have never needed advanced techniques to complete a puzzle. There really should be another difficulty level. Less importantly, the UI could really use a refresh.
