I love this game! I have completed almost all of the daily challenges (working my way back now). I've never made a review until now because the mid-have ads are HORRIBLE. I'll be halfway done with a puzzle and boom there's an ad. I don't mind them at they beginning or end like in the past, but this is ridiculous. I've never stopped mid puzzle so much because of how annoying that transition is.
The recent change that has ads during the game is too unbearable. Love playing the game, but if each playthrough has ads all the way through the middle of solving the puzzle, it makes the whole thing annoying and unplayable. It interrupts your focus and you lose your train of thought. I get the need for ads, and I'm ok with ads before and after. But during as well? That needs to change. If you need to increase ads before and after, fine. But don't leave them during the puzzle solving.
This was a good app, until it let the ads become an annoyance. I understand that the ads let it be a free game, but it went from one and per puzzle, to and ad before and after, and now I'm getting interrupted in the middle of a puzzle by an ad. I should not have to deal with this many ads, especially since there is even one always at the bottom of the screen while I'm doing puzzles. There is such a thing as too many ads, and this app has hit that point.
I used to love this game...Have been playing this game everyday for more than a year, but the recent change to make ads pop up mid game is terrible. End game, when I resume from a pause... ok fine. But once I've completed all cells for a certain number (played all the 4s or all the 8s) is ridiculous. And I'm not paying a fee to get rid of the ads. Uninstalling.
Ads are getting out of hand. I was ok with an ad before the puzzle, or after. Now it's before and after and sometimes in the middle, even if you aren't making mistakes. And the type of ads are getting worse. I was fine with watching an ad and then hitting the x, but now they are three and four part ads that hide the x and I spend more time on the ads than I do playing the game. I'm uninstalling because this is just greedy ad placement and nothing more.
The app itself works fine, there are just two complaints I have with it. 1) the ads. I totally understand the need for them, but the new update added mid game ads which are annoying af. They were bearable before that. And no, I'm not paying to have them removed. 2) the controls. I wish you could keep a number pressed and slide away from it to avoid the number actually being selected, like you can on send buttons in messaging apps
Was a good game to play and only had ads at the end of the game or if you paused which was fine. Now I have noticed it plays ads randomly when you are in the middle of a game multiple times (and don't tell me there is an option to remove ads as I know that already). It was fun while it lasted but will now be deleting to make space for something more worthwhile.
Was fantastic until the last update... now in the trash can unfortunately. I musy have played over a thousand times and LOVED this app. But realistically, how can anyone concentrate on a puzzle when ads pop up right as you're trying to solve it. It's beyond ridiculous. PS: not against ads in free apps... just not randomly in the middle of a game. This behaviour changed in the last few weeks somehow.
Great game overall, minus ads being annoying if I need to pause for literally one second to read a notification or something. Now they've added mid-game ads too, so the ads are unavoidable now. So not only do you have to watch 3+ ads just during normal gameplay, it'll show an ad any time you switch apps or pause too. WAY too many ads with ZERO cool down timer on them. As far as gameplay, it's good though.
I respect that ads are a necessary evil for a free game, and I was fine with them when they showed before and after a game. However, ads now interrupt in the middle of the games. It's disruptive and annoying. I really enjoyed this game, but there are other Sudoku apps that aren't as frustrating with ad placement. I will be moving on to a different publisher.
I've been playing this game daily for more than 2 years now. I was fine with ads being between games or if you use a hint or something. But lately when ads are popping while I'm solving the puzzle is just annoying. Last game I had 4 ads.. Too much and unnecessary. Please find a balance between your revenue and our enjoyment which made us download the game in the first place.
This used to be great until the latest update. The new format makes selecting a number veeeeerry unreliable. Touch a number and the new, fancy timer bar appears... but nothing happens. You have to touch a number multiple times for your selection to go through. Makes the game unplayable. Multiple ads in middle of game ruins the experience.
This game has been fun except for the ads which often freeze and force a restart. Recently many of the ads (a lot of them about expensive trucks and some PSAs which are completely irrelevant to me) will have an X which looks like an exit but will actually take you to a website. And even worse, suddenly the game is interrupted in the middle by ads. I understand the needs to have advertisers but they could be relevant and also not interrupt or ruin a game. I'll be deleting.
Dropping your rating because of the ads. One at the start of the game, one at the end. And now a random ad in the middle of my game!? Far too many. One other thing - some of them have no end and no exit option either. Very annoying to exit the app entirely just to stop the ad
Too many ads. Edit: I understand that an app has to have ads. I'm a software developer. That being said, I have been using this app for about a year and a half now, I really enjoy it. But, the recent update has doubled if not tripled the amount of ads, it's sad to see. I can take ads before and after a game, however, they implemented them *during* the game, now you get an ad at least three times (not counting before and after) per game. That's excessive.
This game was one of my favorites. I used to play it every day. Now you have ads through the entire level you're playing, it's ridiculous. You have the option to remove ads if you pay a fee even though it never had ads like this even in the last few months. Made the game basically unplayable to me. I've had this game for years and I honestly don't even want to play it anymore after the changes.
I enjoyed playing this for the longest time but this app has changed that is making it annoying. They now have ads playing in the middle of you trying to solve the problem. I was fine with the ad after solving the sudoku problem, but now I get an ad after every 6-8 numbers I enter. This is too distracting and unplayable.
I play sudoku a lot. Up until about a week ago I would have given this app 5 stats but then they added advertising in the middle of the game. I is so jarring and disrupts my train of thought. I considered just finding another sudoku game but according to the stats I have over 2 years of daily puzzles completed so I paid to remove ads. If you are just starting out find a different app without the intrusive ads.
Lots and lots of ads. I'm not sure why they responded to my previous review when they did the opposite. The amount of ads are worse. One before you play, one after. And when you get 9 of one number solved if you haven't solved 9 of a different number in a few minutes you'll watch another ad. So on average you're watching 3-5 ads per game. That's ridiculous. I'm gonna find a different sudoku app. This creator is straight up greedy. The game play is good with the features available. Ads ruin that.
Cannot remove ads. I decided to opt to remove them, but there is some incompatibility with the payment application. So I select the account where I want to pay (in game) and I have to switch to Revolut app to give permission to payment. I give it ok, and I switch back to the game , as I need to press the "continue" button for the process to finish. The problem is the screen with the "continue" is gone. I have tried it several times now.
Easy to use with helpful tools, but I'd be more inclined to pay for it to show my appreciation of a good game rather than being forced to pay to get rid of the constant ads. Edit: May 2022 - ads before and after a game i could cope with, but now getting ads mid game. For me this is the end of the road for this app, breaking up a game that requires concentration and thought with mindless apps is badly thought out by the developers - and I'm not being a cash cow and paying for the ad free version
This game is great and it added so many helpful functions to improve the user experience and the thinking. And finally I could find something to kill time when commuting from home to work and vice versa. But I have the issue of forced termination and the game is not saved. That quite upsets me. Hoping it could be improved!
