Sudoku Free

This is the PERFECT sudoku app! I initially downloaded it because it was free, had no ads, and didn't need suspicious permissions. (In the play store it says it needs wifi access, but once you download the app it never asks to use the wifi) I love the game interface as well. Yes, you have to press the number you want to enter first, then press the empty square. It literally took me two tries before I trained myself to do this. Some reviewers seem to be flummoxed by this stunnigly complicated mechanic. I am addicted to the mechanic whereby when you enter a number in pen, it highlights the number in yellow if it currently works in that position. BUT!!! A number in yellow doesn't necessarily mean that it is correct, just that with other numbers currently on the board it works. I think some who have claimed to find bugged puzzles may have run into this confusion. I love that you can enter possible numbers "in pencil" just like some of us do on a paper puzzle.

A lot of potential here, but ultimately buggy and even broken at times. This would be 5 stars easily without the bugs. As of now many games have to be abandoned due to glitches, and it's lacking a bit on basic features (line pressing back after solving to exit, rather than continuing the time on a solved game).

Nice user interface, however sloppy programming : the program did not recognize that the game was finished. Timer kept running, no incorrect cells were detected. Furthermore correcting a wrongly entered number by tapping it again should not delete the underlying pencil marks. Besides that: in the most difficult setting there is sometimes no other way forward than to guess. Saving the state of the game is essential, but not implemented.

occasional bug where a number previously entered is neither recognised as being in place, nor can the space where it was entered be altered. only way to "complete" the filled in puzzle that I have found (when this bug strikes) is to use the "reveal random" function. That briefly lights up that locked cell then takes you to the puzzle completed screen.

I love this app. I would rate 5 but the number keypad covers the bottom half of my last row of numbers on the puzzle. This makes it very hard to select that cell or you cant see the last line of the pencil marks either

Perfect! Easy to see chosen number highlighted in all squares in yellow. Less tapping around because of number select method. Beautiful tree images and no ads. In every way, excellent! Thanks for this app

A very good sudoku, once you have learned the pen and pencil usage. This was easily understood in the first game, but not explained beforehand. Sometimes the very hard puzzles seem easier than the hard ones!

I've used this particular ad free sudoku puzzle for years but sadly I have to part the ways. The program needs an update and I can no longer use it as the pause control no longer works.

How to say. Um, slow or no screen response to number clicks in squares, both notes snd srlections. Bagan to drive me nuts. VERY Unlike Other similar games sampled. Frustrating. All other game play & style Excellent ! Sorry, Uninstalling

very occasionally, the number selected doesn't highlight - my only real criticism. i've enjoyed playing this version of the classic game for years, now. - pp.

Doesn't seem to fit on my tablet properly. Only works in portrait mode and the numbers at bottom of the screen overlap onto the puzzle. Can't see any way of altering the settings. Any suggestions?

I have this on my ood phone and downloaded it to my new one. I do not understand why it requires access to my contacts, camera, storage and microphone. so I will miss it, but it's gone.

Good app. The selected possibilities with yellow background are difficult to recognise. May be the colour should be changed.

Good game. Difficulty level selectable. I like the pencil option for trial and error.

Best ever, no adverts.unfortunately has not been updated for newer versions of android so does not play as well on newer phones like galaxy A21, played on my A5 fine. Needs upgrade!!

Simply dreadful version of Sudoku. This product should be removed from the market. I've played different versions of Sudoku for many years. I've never seen a version of Sudoku that was even 1% as bad as this one. It's in a class by itself, and that's not a good thing.

The menu overwrite the screen until at least one row is solved. This makes the pencil feature very difficult

Very nice. No strain on my eyes. I love playing this game. How about multisudoku, level? I found that all the negative reviews not applicable to me. In my humble opinion it is the best Suduko app. And love playing it. It is the one Suduko app I always go back to

Best Sudoku app I've tried, but low contrast selection makes it nearly unusable at low brightness levels so I can't play in bed.

Simple et efficace. One draw back : the yellow color highlight is terrible in low light condition

I love how the game works it's fun and makes you think hard.No disturbing ads just a whole lot of fun and gameplay.

I would give this game 5 stars if it would save your stats. Other than that it's a great little game
