I like the game and ads are mininal. BUT annoying aspects means I'll be uninstalling. Unless you opt to NOT show mistakes, they flash up in red like school homework being marked. Even with this function disabled, it still tells you at the end how many mistakes you made. Sometimes, it's just fat fingers on a small keyboard - I don't need to be told. Also, after playing many games, you'll see starting layouts are often repeated & they then become predictable. Difficulty parameters are too vague.
Large numbers. Lots of features like portrait and landscape orientation. optional timer, and night mode. One of the best on Google Play! Developer keeps improving the online game. Give this app a try. You'll be pleased. One big downside - someone who has English as their first language needs to edit the instructions. It's very difficult to understand the many available switches and options and how to activate them.
Fun. But the lay out at the start up is a mess. it could be simplified a lot better. all the this way, that way, up/down, play, don't play feeling you get when the game comes up is a bit of a headache. however, all in all a great game. just make it look better and the ability to walk into the game instead of feeling like your reading the newspaper of the NYSE
Love this game, but it could be improved. I find it frustrating having to swap data entry modes all the time. It would be great if I could select the number I want then Tap A square once for a maybe, twice for certain and a third time to clear. Then I wouldn't have to keep flipping between digits, candidate and delete mode.
Good designed game. Lots of options that suits every taste. Update : Just one little bug. After one game ends, the new game starts with the placeholder at the middle as usual. But if you try to place a number, it goes to the last position of the last game. The new game should start without any relation to the last game except the same level. Still great game (and I have tried a lot of Sudoku games).
I really liked the themes. I also like the graphics. Clearly the developer or the developers have put a lot of time and effort into creating a really cool game. The area that I got hung up on was around the controls. I struggle to understand how to use the note option. To me it was not intuitive which setting indicated notes and which setting indicated the number. Additionally when I went to navigate to this review I clicked on the thumbs up with in the game and was taken to somewhere unexpectd
I love this game. It is so user friendly. I do enjoy playing but I'm quite a novice. The option of changing the difficulty levels so easily works for me. I've paid to not have the ads, for such a small cost I find it is really worth it. UPDATE: I did stop playing this for a while, now I'm back I find lots of improvements making this even better. Thank you.
Finally a Sudoku that doesnt punish me for making mistakes! I really dislike having a mistake counter that ends the game if you mess up too many times, takes the fun right out of playing, miss-clicking is just too easy to don The ads are minimal, just a thin bar at the bottom of the screen, also you can have a dark theme, which is easier on my eyes. Thank you for a great game.
I like the game but i donot want the green shadow in each square i used to play it like this before donot know how to do it back please help
Very Well implemented. Wishing for pattern functions. UPDATE: found a minor issue, I was trying to use pattern to solve a puzzle and got stuck, so I pressed hint, and that gave me a solid result that I cannot remove/undo... Not even loading a savepoint! UPDATE2: bug, SAVEPOINT is loaded incorrectly, filled value turns back into notes. Remove savepoint is faulty.
One of the best Sudoku games, if not the best. Display is easy to see, sounds are not annoying, advertisements?? - I haven't encountered a single ad yet -- I'm referring to the repulsive full screen insults to one's senses. I believe there is an option to forego the full screen ads and permit a banner ad across the bottom. Kudos to the developer!!
Good, teachers one to be accurate with the fingers.
Some positive points. Otherwise, don't care for the design. Needs much bolder color -- maybe even font -- after placing a number. (Right now, it's a thin yellow character, whilst the grid is a busy black and white.) Whenever you place a number (it's a 2-step process) in an incorrect black, aquare turns red and slides over to one of the numbers I'd recently set. Have to use Trash Can to remove. So, really, you can't play without any challenge. Uninstalled.
The latest version that I have suggests which of the numbers from 1-9 to examine next. While this is helpful at the end of the game, at an earlier stage of play the suggestion is not so helpful. It seems it just suggests the next number, ie if you have just filled in all the 3s it suggests to look at the 4s. But looking at the 4s might get you nowhere in the early stage of the game so I have learned to override the early suggestions as being mere red herrings. Cheers Elizabeth Aloupis
Took a little to get used to it but I did appreciate being able to input a sudoku manually. My only regret was the app not telling me I had made a mistake automatically.
A well done version. I was using the free version for awhile and liked it so much that I went ahead and paid for it. I appreciate the dark theme option.
I've played several sudoku apps and this is by far the best. Especially because of the two modes of play: Either highlight the square and then tap the number to put in it or else mark the number and then tap all the squares where it should go. And it is easy to switch between these 2 modes. If you are used to another Sudoku app's rules, play several games using this app. Once you train yourself in using its flexibility, you can finish games faster and become even more addicted.
UI feels a bit clunky while the developer wastes significant screen space to promote their other app(s). Continuous entry mode gets glitched if you make a mistake. Pencil entry font size is too small as the app reserves space for each of 9 digits in a square even if you use only 2. Color themes are not customizable.
It's nice. But the animated ad at the bottom, however small, is a dealbreaker. I only tried one puzzle (expert level) and wasn't impressed by the difficulty. The animated ad is distracting in the extreme. Uninstalled.
Good challenging game. Definitely recommend it. Enjoy!
I have enjoyed playing sudoku for several years. This game has numerous options that allows the player to make small changes in the game to suit their playing experience. I only buy a game if it will be a keeper for a few years. I will buy this game.
The best Sudoku game I've played, thank you for the quality game.
The puzzle is unfinished and I have a row with only 2 remaining. I check before I fill a cell and everything checks OK. The cell is filled by the obvious choice yet, according to the program, that number is incorrect. The other choice also is incorrect of course. The CORRECT program is obviously INCORRECT!
My first game was very new, I the prompting as a cubicle or row is completed. I shall update my experiences after I have played a while. Thank you It's been a pleasure playing Sudoku It's a challenge. I use the hints more than I would like to, I am very satisfied, for I have played for years buying Sudoku puzzles in paper back books at the 5 & Dime .
Great game. Easy to select level of difficulty - and some levels are very challenging. Only thing I would suggest is to have a clock running on-screen so you can see if a new "best time" is possible.
Input mode exceedingly inconvenient to use. Lost digit highlight each time a number is entered. Impossible to input the same digit several times. Must tap on the digit first to enter it again in another cell. The graphical theme is nice.
Great controls. Being able to keep entering the same digit into multiple cells is very convenient. The ads are done fairly. You spend more time with the game than with the ads.
A game that is simple in design and function, yet a delightful challenge to play. I had first given four stars because I don't give out five unless I'm really impressed. But decided to up it to five, as it really is fun with minimally invasive ads.
