Sudoku Zen

After trying several other Sudoku games I think this one has the best interface! Edit: thanks for the update! Better! Was: I like the random games and that you can fill in possibilities. However I wish the separation between 3x3 grids was a little more distinct, maybe a grey line rather than white. There doesn't seem to be a way to restart a game. Nor are you notified if you enter a duplicate. Overall it's an adequate implementation, but lacks some basic features.

The gameplay experience is optimal. I like how you can disable most of helping features as you get more skilled. I'd have given it 5 stars if every puzzle was given an unique ID and it was possible to load a puzzle from that ID. I'd also love to see support for extended snyder notation (Snyder notation, but you should also be able to mark naked pairs in a different font/style)

I migrated from Kraisoft's free app when they added adverts without warning. This paid alternative (although I downloaded it free) is quite a formidable opponent. The difficulty is just right and I like all the different modes. All it needs is a few more theme options (AMOLED background, more accent colours besides green/yellow - maybe a colour wheel) and it'll be perfect.

I really liked this game, until I tried my first expert solve. No, I'm not whining that it was too difficult. I am talking about the fact that the very first one I played had multiple solutions. And obviously so. IT had the same naked pairs in the same column. First those that don't know the jargon, it means, I had cells (1,1) and (1,3) that could only be, say 2 and 6. But I also had cells (8,1) and (8.3) that could only be 2 and 6. This is not supposed to exist in a sudoku puzzle because either solution is possible. You could put the 2 in (1,1) and (8,3) and the 6 in (1,3) and (8,1), or you could put the 6 in (1,1) and (8,3) and the 2 in (1,3) and (8,1). This was easy for more to spot, simply because those 4 cells were the only empty cells I had left. But if I had come across that earlier in my solve, it could have caused a lot of confusion. As it was, I half expected my answer to b wrong when I randomly chose which solution to try, and was surprised to see it come out as a good solution. I DO like the variants. But they have to fix that issue.

Simple, clean, smart way to play sudoku. Only fiddly bit is not being able to set the lightning button to automatically be on when a game starts. Also, very frustrating if you accidentally pen in the number if you out the number in the wrong box.

I would recommend this sudoku over other similar apps. However I may give it a 5 star rating if I could find the reset function for when I get too close to finishing a find , there's a mistake and I want to reset (or put the devicedownand come back later to find the timer still running). Secondly, how can the lightning bolt (icon) be activated by default. I really like the dark mode to avoid screen burn on my tablet and extend battery life

Great price for sudoku without ads and ridiculous amount of app permitions! Various game style and levels to choose from. It would be perfect if the game have the reset option tho. Thanks dev :)

Best part about this app is it is ad free. I also like that it doesn't punish you for making a mistake. Could use a restart puzzle function and a hint function but in a way I like the challenge that it provides with out those options.

Mostly good but a couple of big annoyances. Filling in a number in pen mode automatically clears pencil marks of cells that clash bit into doesn't replace them so making a mistake leads to having to recheck all your notes. You also can't undo anything except the last cell, so you can't change a wrong value from two or three back. Mostly good otherwise

Suggestion here: add a button that will switch between pen and pencil when you holding or releasing it, for example, when you hold the button, it will turn into pencil mode, but when you release the button, it turn into pen mode. I know you can double tap for pen input in pencil mode, but sometimes when you want to remove or add multiple pencil numbers, it misread as pen input. Hope help and have a nice day.

If you wanna relax, or play an eady game while sitting on the toilet. This is perfect, the layout is absolutely stunning and the "controls" are very easy to handle! By far my favourite game

Great game. I have given 4 * because there is a little bit of confusion about warning to input wrong digit/repeat digit in settings. I am struggling to complete the apprentice level in the game.

Got it on sale and it was worth every penny. It's by far the best Sudoku app. Although I do like achievements. Maybe you could add some to create a sense progress. But besides that. Love it

Really good but need an option to erase a number. If you make a mistake you to basically restart instead of erasing the wrong numbers * update* devs have listened and improved the app. Now worthy of 5 stars definitely my favourite and only sudoku app =)

The app looks nice and clean. Unfortunately it's only available in English. For the most people that's not a problem but there are still some who can't read English, like my father. It's a shame there isn't a standardized option in the play store entry that shows which languages are supported. So you have to buy to actually find out. Luckily I got it for free.

Very good program for initial learning the game and advance to much more challenging puzzles.

One of the best a few minor things. Biggest is the vibrate can't be turned off on mistakes. Can't play silent at night.

I didn't really play long. The way the sudoku grid is designed, your eyes make you think you are seeing dots, and it was too difficult to focus on playing the game.

Enjoyable, and great to use. Best interface I've seen so far, and plethora of difficulty and game modes.

The cartoonish gui looks nice, but I'm not sure how to change the number I put on the field... It's still nothing compare to Kraisoft version which is completely free.

Zen experience. Confusing input options. Not differentiating pre-filled cells from user input prevents me from giving a better grade.

Fairly decent overall but having to select grid location then the number is annoyingly counterintuitive.

Okay Sudoku app BUT IT USED 58GB OF DATA! Probably stealing data EDIT : Ignorant of me to say it's stealing data, but it did use that amount. Developer reached out lightning fast

Great Sudoku game with various types of boards. But often my taps didn't register when I'm marking the board with numbers.

Can't erase a number. Otherwise nice animations and ui. Edit: Now you can erase a number! 1-> 5 stars

Best I've found to my liking. Could you please make the border for each nine cells more obvious!

If you make a mistake, there is no way to change the mistake. If there is a way to change it, the developers did a good job of hiding it. Definitely deleting.
