This is one of the best games I've downloaded. Great concept (its like pokemon but instead of monsters evolving, you get to mix them up and yield different monsters). I just find a lack of story behind everything though if you come to think about it, the first Final Fantasy is also like this if you only add the element crystals in the equation. I think, if a better story is made for it, it will be fantastic. No ads or in app purchases needed to play this. Thanks for creating this.
An honest hobbyist-level monster collection rpg. A bit rough around the edges but you can't go wrong with those popular free art assets. User-created dungeons are a positively unexpected feature although I didn't get to tinker with them. Ultimately it didn't bring enough to the table and it promptly felt like a bit of a chore. The unappealing prospect of having to level and equip each creature before it inevitably goes obsolete got the best of me and I felt the need to move on.
I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this. The art is great, the story isn't riveting but it's straightforward. There are nearly no ads and no in-app purchases. My only complaints might be some balancing (I have been feeling a bit overpowered against anything other than bosses) and I think trying to fuse the monsters is confusing (even using the online guide). But overall, I've quickly become addicted to this little game and find it very fun.
Gameplay is very fun, easy to get into with lots of bits and pieces that can be swapped in and out for a very flexible experience. In fact, the freedom of monster fusion can even get overwhelming at times. Storyline and dialogue are very plain, passable, but its so electronic it sounds like it was simply run through google translate. Still, the graphics are beautiful and vibrant especially for the monster sprites.
It's an addictive game, I had a lot of fun playing it, but two things keep me from giving 5 stars. The game is really good, but even the map pinging where you need to go after you get swan boat I got to the port village but keeps pinging there, then I couldn't progress, so the quests shoud be more instructives. The other thing is the lack of a searcing sistem of monsters you already saw, showing in the map where you can find them again. Thx for the game developer <3
Fun game, the only real issues it the fact that the dialogue isnt clean. Its poorly translated, BUT they still get the message across for main plots, stores, etc. The random NPCs have strange dialogue. The gameplay itself is straightforward. Its a bit grindy having to level things up, but if you dont mind that sort of thing it's a lot of fun. Combat is typically quick and doesn't take up too much time, so grinding isn't really that difficult in this game.
It is a full F2P with no need to put a penny and there is not a lot of ads. The gameplay is like a easy RPG but with a unique part of combining two different monster to get a new one. The main drawback of this game is that it does not have a story or good direction. So you almost feel like you are in a toy box making your own fun of getting the best possible monster.
Despite certain translation errors, the game was very enjoyable. Ads are included in the game but do not inhibit gameplay. The fighting system is intuitive and exciting. I particularly enjoyed how every monster, even the beginning Slime, are still useful in the late game. The only problem I have with the game is how confusing the map is, but online guides helped out immensely.
I forgot to update my review but will you ever make new monsters or make a Summon Mate 2? I finished the game and i loved it. Yeah it was a bit confusing with lack of instructions but the monsters were the best part, I loved their designs. The story is a bit eh i really just wanted to beat everything up. Maybe some more side quests? I dont know but I didnt want to stop playing this game or i wished there were more content from it. The main quest is just fine it gave me a challenge. 10/10
I love that there are still people out in the world making old school RPGs, I love this game! I like catching monsters, roaming and grinding, getting rare stuff, the feeling that comes after getting them are just priceless, i also love a rich storyline but, the game doesn't really have that, i get that there's a story but it's not as good as fried chicken, get what i mean? Lol, I also find it quite easy to beat the game, i wish there was an even harder option in your next game, i'll be waiting
Definitely needs more work with world building and some on interface. But on the core of it, this is a really good game! if you take suggestions, please expand more on interface. like, i do not know how many monsters i can keep (or it's just not clear enough). stuff like that. With world building, others have already stated it: needs more story elements. that said, excited to see developments for this game
I must say this game got me hooked for hours and hours, it is unique in its creatures and mechanics, very nice overall The graphics aren't very beautiful, and the story is kinda lame tbh but i can't complain about anything else. The monsters are awesome, the gameplay is cool and there isn't crazy difficult battles or overpowered strategies(not that i noticed). Played until there was not much else to do in the game and it took a long long time
Tldr; barely any ads in game, very fun rpg game with monsters. This game is essentially an rpg game from early 2000s, it has 8-bit graphics, turn-based combat, the story is extremely straightforward with the map telling you where to go to by showing a big red indicator on the map. I've never enountered a pop-up ad or an annoying ad that blocks your screen. The ads are done in a way that you can watch a 10~15sec ad to get more storage or to get extra items and get to fight some rare monsters.
A fun rpg. It's infinitely loopable, and the merge aspect is fairly fun. There's even a place where you can make your own dungeon which is cool. There's few ads, unless you use "get x item" spots, which is generally totally unnecessary, and isn't ever /required/ to enjoy the game. Save ads can be exited immediately. I like this one more than most mobile rpgs I've played.
I reviewed this game once before but I had to do it again. My previous criticism is still valid. The game is a little clunky in certain aspects, and the translations could use some work but besides that, THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! After I finished the main game I had to review it again. It's nostalgic, it's challenging, and it's FUN. Yes, there are ads, but the rewards are great! Its also SO UNBELIEVABLY REFRESHING there's no game store in sight, it's not a money grab. I'd give 10 stars!
really enjoying the game so far. I really love character design and such, really excited with the monsters (summons) design. but one thing that bugs me is the monsters name. wish it would be longer or/and able to rename to our liking? (or am I missing something) cause some monsters name really weird when it cut to 5 letter. anyways, amazing game, dev. looking forward for more adventure.
This game has the most potential of any RPG here. I really enjoy it, but there's some quality of life things that could be improved. I'm such a fan, actually, that I would help with the localization myself, if I could - I really see this game being great. The main thing I would recommend is a help menu in game, where I can learn about what stats mean, the nuances of combat, etc. To the dev, keep working on this project, it's great!!
Great game! The monsters are all very interesting and unique, and the gameplay takes the best parts of most RPGs. The fusion mechanic is especially great in this game and the different combinations give a great incentive for players to contract with as many monsters as possible and return to previous areas.
In my own opinion, This is a very fun game. I have been looking for games like this where its pixelated, with monster, fantasy, adventure, good game mechanics, loveable art and a good story. Sadly, I have finished the game and I crave for more.
This game is awesome so far, around an hour in, but the sound hasn't worked for me at all? Other than that there isn't to much instructions either, it doesn't matter because the art and everything else is so great. maybe have a quest section to show what you need to do next? Ads are very minimal as well, download this game and try it, its awesome!
Not a bad game so far, some of the english is a bit basic which makes the dialog a little dry at times, but but it isn't bad assuming that the devs probably dont have english as there first language and it is at least most understandable. This seems very similar to games from the ps2 era (maybe it was even on it originally, I dont know. Now there could be improvements like better translations and more personality the quests, also the touch controls could be made a bit more intuitive so 4 stars.
Before I get to my (very mild) criticisms, I want to say that I really like the game overall. 1) As some others have pointed out: the story and the English could be a bit better. 2) I was disappointed that I could only store about 100 of the 160 or so total monsters. I would really appreciate if the lottery didn't stop. (If I am missing a way to get more tickets, please let me know) 3) Resolved: I think I had exited the cave wrong initially. Thanks for the awesome game!
Pretty awesome so far. Think of a mix between Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest and mix it with Siralim or Pokemon. Pretty good mechanics. My one issue is some lack of clarity, it appears English is likely not the Devs first language, so there are just a few clarity or grammar issues. For example; "water card" item "raises water" (I believe it raises water DEFENSE based on the dragon one, but I cannot confirm). If dev got help clarifying some of the English/text then I would rate this game 5 stars
A classic pixel rpg with good story line and progression. One of the things that is good about this game is that you are free to roam around and do whatever you like. It does not force you to do any event. It also is one of its cons. The doesnt really tell you what to do or point you exactly where to go for the progression of the story. But for me, it makes the game more challenging and that is the reason why i love this game. Did i mention that its free to play? I love it. Hoping for a sequel.
Game is great. However, after finishing the Star Room, I am having freezing issues when I open the map while on the world map. I have to restart the game each time I need to look at the map, which gets a little frustrating.
Very entertaining. There is still plenty to do even after you beat the game, i like that there is an option to reset the main quest after you beat it so you can play again without losing your monsters. Also there are some good mechanics, and ads are always either optional or skippable. Downsides are that the translation to english is rather poor, it is often unclear how to progress, no real compelling story or plot, and getting all the monsters is basically impossible without online guide.
