Summoner Wars for Android is a digital card game with all the tactical elements of a board game. Summoner Wars for Android allows players to control the Phoenix Elves faction and battle against AI opponents or go online to play against others. Nine additional factions such as the Tundra Orcs, Guild Dwarves and Cave Goblins are available through the game’s in-app store. For those who wish to take the game to the next level, a deck-editor allows players to select the cards in their factions and reinforcements to build a custom deck to play with, within the confines of the rules. Changing cards can affect game play, making the game infinitely customizable.
A Playdek online account is required to play online.
Summoner Wars is a popular fantasy card game where players take on the role of a Summoner. Players cast spells and summon warriors to a battlefield and tactically maneuver them in an effort to defeat their opponent’s summoner. Summoner Wars offers many faction decks for players to choose from, like the precise Phoenix Elves, the hordes of Cave Goblins, or the righteous Vanguards. Each faction offers unique play and requires players to adapt to the special strategies available to that faction. First off the is my favourite board game, love the art, love the gameplay and the ballance is unbelievable. Colby is a genius. Also for a long time the app was my go to mobile game, played the mess out of it. But now it doesn't work. It won't connect to playdek, no online matches, and in app purchases continually don't show up. Please fix. This is dumb, apparently an issue on newer android devices.
ASSMODEE: PLEASE UPDATE THIS GAME. 5 years with no update is just ridiculous. A few QoL changes would do wonders. Summoner Wars is one of my favorite card games. This is a godawful port. The UI is confusing; starting games is a mess and it punishes you hard for making mistakes (no undo). The in-app purchases aren't fairly priced or described well. If you LOVE SumWars, you can play it here but don't count on online matches. If youve never played it, youre gonna have a bad time w/ this app.
Fun game! However, I am having trouble with volume control for music and sound effects. I have them on mute but everytime I open the app they turn on full blast.
I really loved this game since the first time I bought and played it on tabletop version of Galapagos Jogos, but the game didn't had their expansions to the Brazillian market, then I came here to play it after a long time wishing them, just to know that the game is not available to download anymore, and some SummonerS War keep showing up, I really love this game, and wanted so much to it come back on it's feet
using a galaxy note 8. can't access in game purchases to buy more summoners. even WORSE, can't enter info to sign into playdek, the service you need an account with in order to play against friends online. this was the reason i bought the freaking app, and the keyboard doesn't come up when you try to log in to playdek. what gives??
The app no longer works. I had some expansions and I miss it. It was an awesome game with a great AI. I cannot update it neither
Really good game, just wish some of the things were free, or could be unlocked through a story mode, or something.
Doesn't work with newer android devices. Shame, because it's a really good two player strategy game. It worked on my old ipad mini but I have swapped to android.
Actually, i have a real card game summkner wars, its great, but i wanna my decks in online version without purchasing it in online store once i have the deck irl... Its kinda stupid 🤔
The game is fun, but so far I haven't been able to play one to completion without it crashing at some point...
The game keeps forgetting that I purchased decks and wont let me play them bhy also wont let me buy them again. Real screwy

Functionally speaking, Summoner Wars for android is solid. It does a great job of emulating the real life CCG/Board Game. The interface is easy to figure out and use. It does sick that there aren't more armies available for a cheaper deal, but it's cheaper still than buying all the physical expansions. Bottom line: You can't go wrong downloading this game.
I am so very annoyed with this app. I have a Playdek account, and it works in their other apps just fine, but I cannot for the life of me login to Summoner Wars for online play. The login form resets without any notification as to why each time I tap Login. I've also tried to create an account, but the same reset of the form happens when I tap I Agree. Therefore I am unable to play this game online at all.
Was Playing this on an HTC one, no issues other than occasional hang ups. Moved to the new Note 5, and just get music and a black screen. At least I can still play the physical version. Update 10/5 still just music. Update 12/17. Still no update for the Samsung devices that have been out for half a year now. Pretty disappointing as I love the game.
Plays music, but only shows a black screen. I installed the app on my small tablet and bought all of the in-app purchases. The game was too hard to see everything effectively, so I installed it on my larger tablet: Lenovo Tab 2. All I get is a black screen. After buying the Master Set IAP, and the 9 Faction IAP, I am totally unable to play the game. What a waste of money!
When I saw that there was an app for this, I jumped at the chance to play regular games with distant friends. But I can neither create a Playdek account nor attempt to log into one - as soon as I click out of the digital keyboard after typing in my info, all of my text disappears. In my excitement, I purchased all the content before I tested if I could get online. It has been two weeks, and still can't even log in. Would like a refund.
As many have already pointed out, the app does not work on the s6. Originally gave the game 5 stars and have bought the extra armies on my precious device, so it's quite frustrating not being able to play.
This is one of the best board game adaptations you could possibly own, however, the devs seemed to have abandoned the game before ever giving it a chance. Easily a 5 star game if it ever gets updated and all known issues are corrected. The IAP is worth every penny as well should that day come.
I really enjoy playing this. It really holds true to the board game. However, when trying to play on my Galaxy Tab S2 8.0, it always loads to a blank screen. Please fix! It is a lot more fun on my tablet than my phone. Keep up the good work.
please fix: 1) if mind witch take identity of jungle elf master and gorilla, shouldn't she be able to use special on the gorilla witch. 2) the music/fx comes back after i switch to another app and come back, i wish i can turn off all sounds altogether. 3) please add more AI decks, and maybe smarter AI's that knows to kill its own pieces for magic building. thanks!
Great game!!! The game itself is fun & strategical, but it's easy to learn as well. There's a set of rules & a tutorial that make learning the game easy (whereas tutorials offered for a lot of other similar games don't teach you how to play very well at all). The in-app purchases (optional) are cheap. There's a lot of variablility because of the multiple factions, & because there's an option allowing you to customize/alter your deck. You can play online, or offline.
