I continue to get a message that says you have a possible error in your displayed data. There is Learn more link. When you click on it you get a message saying your system performance is uneffected and working on a fix. It has been doing this since the installation, going on for 3 to 4 months. Also you can only monitor the whole system eventhough they have the capability of monitoring each panel. We have paid for this capability and it should have this feature. This needs a serious upgrade.

App/system refuses to let me set up a password. The link sent by the setup tech as well as every "forgot password" link sent to me all say they have expired even if I click them within seconds of requesting. Inability to log in makes for a pretty useless app. I tried calling customer service, but like others have said, if it's not on the script, they are just as lost as I am.

Sunpower's monitoring infrastructure is poor at best. When we first got our panels in 2015, it was fine, but they clearly haven't been keeping up with growth. Quite often the data is stale or completely unavailable. Doesn't do a good job of reconciling multiple supervisors (from a system upgrade, we added more panels so we have two supervisors). Just very unreliable and slow. They really need to invest in this instead of ignoring it.

Should include wifi trouble shooting. The app is really only useful for finding out if the system is working. The data frequently comes with disclaimers that it is inaccurate. The WiFi connection is allegedly lost, even though I clearly see it is connected to my eero wifi system, and there is nothing in the app to help you manage it.

Very disappointing. Slow to load, inaccurate, looses connection to the server often, very limited options in the app (or the web interface for that matter). Would like to see if individual panels are working for instance. For a large company that does mostly solar this should be much, much better.

Didn't think there was an app worse than YouTube Music until I downloaded this. 1 month of not being able to sign up, finally get in and it works for all of 1 day before being unable to connect to my WiFi. Panels seem to work as I watch the meter spin backwards but I shouldn't have to go outside any time I want to check on production or make sure they're producing. I'm probably wasting my time writing this because clearly, the hundreds of other 1 star reviews haven't made a difference.

needs more functionality. app is ok, it just doesnt really do that much. when looking at weeks or months also no way to zoom to highlight individual days easily. also does not present very granular information such as individual panel production. could also use weather service integration and some basic analytic features instead of just bar graph output measurements. overall it is less info than i get from my utility company's website. no update in over 3 years to this app. Lowered from 3 to 2

The app has been saying system issue after the second day I powered on. Shows I produce power at night and that I'm making more than I use which isn't true when I read the meter outside. This app is a joke. Customer service and the feedback in the app said there's a ticket out for this but its been almost 2 weeks. How long does it take to fix a setting on their end?

I have had the app for only 2 days. So far it is terrible. For such a big company you would think they would invest a little into something so big a part of their company. It is VERY SLOW to start. Even worse i am having connection issues and the app says go to the WiFi widget and press the setting button. That is the only widget without a settings button. Also this app had not been updated since March of 2017

For 10 years I've been using the current app on my 32 inch computer monitor. Now I have to try to look at graphs on a 3 inch cell phone screen. That's not progress. I have two SunPower systems and only one has ever reported. Adding an additional feature so systems can be monitored from a persons phone would be fine. But closing out the current system available on computers is a big step backwards. SunPower has the highest quality panels, it just a shame their customer monitoring is not up to par with other companies. The panels are still great, so I guess that's something.

I was prompted to download the new app page displaying the Google play store. I downloaded it, it says it is installed and it wont move off the download page. It seems frozen on the one non functioning page. I am writing this review in the play store app because the sunpower app is frozen. Really quite worthless not what I need or want.

I love my solar panels but the sun power app was a frustration. Since my panels were installed in October 2019, I constantly had this message about an error in my data. However as of yesterday 4-10-2020 that error message is no longer present and I appear to be getting good data. Hopefully this means that the app's issues are resolved therefore I improved my rating. Thank you SunPower for finally correcting the issue

The app fall shorts of its expectation. The first thing is you will face when you open, is a loading screen, that sometimes take minutes to load your data. They say that they are experiencing a slow down but this has been happening for a long time. it's so long that I just gave up trying to see how much energy. When it's finally loads, You can't see if all of your panels are working, just how much total energy you generated. I was hoping you could see by panel, to make sure they are all working

It doesnt work. The numbers are completely inaccurate and after months it still hasnt been fixed. This was supposed to be a selling point for the system and I feel advertising it as a feature at this point was a straight out lie. Do not recommend . Also I was told I would be able to monitor each panel to be able to see if any issues arose and turns out that was an out and out lie too. Sounds like I am not the only one. Fraud.

Application continues to show erroneous data. Banner in app perpetually says they are going to fix it. I've had solar panels working for over two months but data displayed is incorrect. Had Sunpower come out and check equipment, however determined it is the app. I would give zero stars if I could deselect.

It was slow when it initially worked, but now all it says is "waiting for data." Text messages, calls and emails to Sunpower Customer Service has been if no help either. You might as well just read your electric meter or wait for your monthly bill. This app is useless.

Well now I've been using the app it's ok. But need to fix the delay plus I have ethernet as my main internet and wifi 5g as my backup I try to log on the wifi it says were connecting to the wifi and it goes no where lol. I do it 5 times and give up. The app needs to b updated. And what is strange the web site says I'm only connected to 2.4 witch I don't even have 2.4 wifi and the app I get nothing something needs to b done. Oh and another thing is refreshing data must b fixed it's constant.

Does not report accurate information at all. Based on other user feedback it sounds like that's been the case for over a year. Which makes sense since they haven't released an update to their app in over 2 years. Stop telling people the problem is their wifi... Its your outdated useless app

System has not been working for close to a month. Customer support follows script and reports to my "case manager" who doesn't call at all. Unable to access monitoring site or app, unable to reset password and constantly being told they will escalate and monitor for 24-48 hours. Technician finally came to house and said everything should be working fine. Still no information/data is being reported to utility company.

Can't see current power data. It's been over 2 months and sunpower can't figure it out. Everytime I call it's the same thing, we are escalating it to the experts. Bad support. Good luck getting anything fixed after you sign up and purchase.

App seems bugged. Current output showing <.1kw/hr but total for the day seems correct. Already tried reinstalling on multiple devices. Also have had error regarding possible delay updating data error like most folks for several months but went away after clearing the app data and cache. But now this....

Horrible app experience and customer service. The chat function is so bad, they should just remove it to avoid headaches, or make it so if you accidently close it, you don't lose your spot. I'm always "Waiting for data" no matter what time of day I check and the customer service department is not very knowledgeable and no help at all.

nice app and good clear layout. only problem is that the app is not accurate. it is always 75 kwh higher than the meter. it's been like that for over a year. contacted the co. but of course they never responded

The system has been generating more electricity than needed since installation in 2019, though less than the expected output. I'm happy to have installed more panels than our average consumption. I believe the excess will be useful if we added more electrical gadgets. The app should give info on panel by panel productivity, but doesnt. Frustrating!!! Moreever, it would have been more economical if excess production can be sold to the local utility company as done in some States.

Missing data. Delayed data. Unrealistic spikes of over a megawatt. I've given up. I basically don't have data to look at. I can't compare and make sure my utility company is charging correctly. I'd say SunPower system comes with basically no monitoring.

Data Delays All The Time. This App is constantly delaying data. I see that my solar system is producing 5.2 kilowatts at 2 AM with no moon. Not functioning most of the time. I have a dedicated wifi connection just a few feet away from the control system, my upload speeds are 34 mb/s and download speed of 700 mb/s. How on earth can my data be delayed and inaccurate, especially at 2 AM? Let's get it together SunPower! Review updated 6-5-2020: Data is delayed anywhere between 3 and 12 hours.

just plain terrible. worked for 2 months now all of a sudden unable to connect. troubleshoot is to reset router or buy a new one???? ridiculous. no response from sunpower either, they dont care. enphase so much better....

Pretty bad app which provides production/consumption data that can be 4-5 hours behind and a lot of times it's extremely inaccurate. It's like they're trying to estimate and not give you real up-to-an-hour data. I don't understand why since the smart meter my electric company installed gives you very accurate data 99% of the time. Besides, the data in the app is not even the same as the data you get from their WEB portal. What? How is that even possible? Do they have 2 different databases (one for the mobile app and the other one for WEB portal)? Insane how a multi-billion $$$ company cannot invest what should be chump change for them in order to make their customers satisfied. I'm not even mentioning lack of panel-level monitoring that exists in many other systems. If one of your panels goes bad, you may not even know.

The combination of the poor app and the expensive measurement box make Sunpower a bad investment. Inaccurate — the measurements of power generation are incorrect, not reporting what the power company's meter shows or how the sun shines. At 6:00am, near dawn, it shows the highest value of the day; at 1:00pm, when the sun shines most directly, it shows a low value. No precision — there is no display of the generation of individual panels or the strings of panels. Sunpower says that you are supposed to be monitoring your system for performance, but they removed the display ("we got too many questions") of the information you need to monitor it. Those are the cons. On the pro side, its logo stands out (irony).
