Booking not showing up in the app, but say's it is already assigned to me. Cannot find a way to access the booking in the app. Would give a four if it wasn't for this issue. Have used it in the past on other trips.
Flight was cancelled - ok, it happens, we were sent to a nice hotel, no issues. However, the next day, we were denied getting into the bus from the hotel to the airport because our names were not present in some list. The empty bus had 6 or 8 people who were going to the same flight and who got to the hotel the same way as we did (because of flight cancelation). We were riding alongside the bus on a taxi.
We stayed at Starfish Veradero. Having been to Cuba on at least 15 or more times, Starfish had the best food hands down. I was hoping to loose weight as in previous trips but this resort was exceptional in their cuisine. The General Manager was visible daily and it showed as everyone went well above and beyond for every need. I will only go back to this resort and will be back now more often. thank you Sunwing
I've flown with them so many times. both scheduled flights and vacation packages and over 50 to 60% of the time. always had issues including even today my bag is lost. It's on real customer service at the terminals and Toronto are bad. no one even there half the time. they have a lot of improving to do
You quite literally cannot do anything through the app except check your booking details. Every button clicked reroutes you to the website. Quite useless. Use the website, it's faster. One extra star because it looks pretty.
Worst travel experience ever. The only good thing about it was the actual flight itself but flight times constantly changing, delays, painfully slow check in when leaving vacation destination
Have flown twice with Sunwing, both two weeks Jamaica, and just recently to Cuba. Booked Elite-Plus both times, and on the return flights were moved to the regular seats without consulting us, just a voicemail on our home phone which doesn't help when you're on vacation. We book the Elite-Plus, do to medical issues with my girlfriends legs and tall. Who is responsible for thinking they can play God and change seating without consulting us. Confirm we had the seats a week before trip. DON'T USE
The app is a joke. It keeps saying I need the update. I deleted and reloaded the app but it still doesn't work. How freaken frustrating when your leaving the following day and trying to get online to book seats, etc.
our trip through sunwing vacations to iberostar dominicana was filled with many misleading promises. they have a very talented advertising department. we were very much looking forward to our upgraded panoramic views which apparently means partially obstructed garden views. our king size bed which translates to two queen beds. a 500 dollar resort credit that turned out to be 500 in coupons that would cost us 1000.00 dollars to redeem. use of the neighboring resort which is just the other half.
The app was adequate to the task. Was able to do the check-in for the return flight .The process was a little slow due hotel's Wi-Fi but got it done. The trip to Cayo Coco, Cuba, went smoothly. The flights were comfortable with more than enough space in standard seats for my wife and I. The return flight experienced a delay due to two passengers that would not respect masking rules. The on-board staff and pilot dealt with the situation with calmness. Once authorities removed them, we departed.
Must have been built in the 80's. App, like the website is slow and usually times out. People it's 2022, update your portals!!!
We had a direct flight from Montreal to Cancun and our luggage did not arrive when we arrived in cancun and we had to wait 2 days for it to show up at the hotel. We are now back home and again no luggage!!! I can't understand how a direct flight can lose your luggage twice...I am hopeful it will arrive soon but still no news.
App is very buggy, does not let you type in search box, only choose form drop down. My trips page just spins and buffers but doesn't load. Used the website to book but can't view under my trips, just get an error message 'something went wrong'. Not user friendly.
I'll never use sunwing again. I'm not angry I'm just disappointed, another let down of a trip and feel as though no one (at sunwing) really cares. I'll be taking my money else where at this point. to many problems to list.
smooth, worry free travel. everything went well and updated infoprovided regularly through the app, by email and text message.
Enjoyed Panama immensely. People are extremely friendly! Big shout out for exemplary service at the Rui's Playa Blanca location. Kudos for the exceptional service of Giovanni, Abal, Noel at the Sports Centre who were professional, friendly, safety conscious and incredibly helpful with the sea kayaks and stand up paddleboards!!!!
I have been having none stop issues with this app. My trip, though linked to my profile cannot be viewed. It also cannot be readded. This means I see no updates nor can I book any upgrades. I've tried to reach out to Sunwing directly, twice over the last two weeks, and nothing back. So, all in all, poor customer service from Sunwing, and poor experience with this app.
Everything went smoothly. The app gives you updates, especially while traveling and CoVid requirements. Thanks!
Absolutely useless! 2 people standing next to each other getting totally different information for bus pick up on same resort. After being delayed until next day the app says your trip is over and becomes completely useless.
Don't use Sunwing. Worst airline and rude staff on flight. Very unorganized and not helpful at all. Steer clear spend the extra for a better airline
There's a bug in the app, every time I go to type in the name of the resort when I go to search for my vacation it won't allow me to type in search anything and to make matters worse when I find my vacation I am unable to type in the names for vacation. Thank God the websites working! All I can do it this app is just search for vacation can't book nothing! Need to fix asap!
Had a great trip to Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo Cuba. A bit dissappointed in the Worry-Free cancellation insurance (can cancel up until 3 hrs before your trip - fine print is it's only given back in travel vouchers good for 1 yr). We had 2 senior passengers had to cancel 5 days before and can't get money back - no exceptions. Sunwing was initially very helpful in setting up special travel need requests. We haved travelled Sunwing many times and will most likely continue.
I've always traveled sunwing but was disappointed with our long flight home, stop to drop off in Regina was a gong show, (not all staff fault) add in 8 hrs on a plane and only was offered free drink once!! No sunwing rep at our resort. It was my 1st unpleasant trip with sunwing thankfully the resort and people were amazing and helpful so vacation was still great for that reason. hopefully it was a 1 off and it would be good again in the future.
Many issues on this trip but ones that fall to Sunwing include.. hour late departure at start of trip, waiting on runway. good weather, no reason given. this cascaded to late arrival and 2 hours to get through Jamaica Airport due to volume of arrivals. Sunwing transportation to resort had numerous unmasked traveller's during covid restrictions. not enforced. we did get a flight change when leaving yyz, paid for elite, but seat on updated flight change lost the benefit.
This was our third time at the Grand Sunset Princess and it was fantastic. The Sunwing reps are very helpful and made our trip smooth.
horrible experience. Booked at a 5 star resort in Varadero. "Oceans" Patriarca. 8 restaurants no reservations. nightly shows, room service.. NOT... Oceans no longer exist. All false advertising to get you to pay top dollar for a one star resort. one restaurant per day, reservations required. Ran out of most Booze everyday by 5pm, no room service, no nightly entertainment until last 2 nights of our stay. Extremely disappointed
The best vacation! We just got back from Punta Cana, hotel Royalton Splash Punta Cana. The Sunwing representative, her name is Enouse is amazing 😍 She helped us with many many questions. Highly recommended! Enouse you are the best Sunwing representative!!!!☺️
first vacation with sunwing, all went well. check in process was fast and efficient. Flight was smooth and flight crew were excellent. In flight fiod was ok and reasonably priced. transfers from airport and hotel was ok
paid for the Priority Plus, both flights I was moved to the back of the plane and not in my selected seat that I paid $$ to select. I have vertigo and was very sick when I initially arrived at the airport in Cuba (considering you are getting tested for temp. and symptoms for COVID).On the way home, after a relaxing vacation including a few spa days last 24 hours at the resort I find out that my seat that I had selected first row in Plus seating to be bumped to the back no $$ back promised.
I am having a horrible time signing into my account. I can not view my current vacation booking. Everytime I try to add it to my account it says it is already in my profile but will not put it on my page. I can not even view my profile page, it just tries to make me save my info and then takes me nowhere. Used the app for previous trips with no issues. Very frustrated with the app this time.
