Thi is a great "little" game. It's funny, easy to play, and has enough depth to not get you bored quickly. Controls are surprisingly good too (for a mobile game). Multiplayer takes a bit too long to find an opponent (I guess that depends on the number of people playing at the same time), but the search for opponents happens in the background as you play, so it's not too bad. I wish there was some kind of way to play asynchronously against someone (e.g., Vs their ghost). Recommended!
Absolutely brilliant nostalgic racing game. Love it. Only annoyance is I feel like I'm forced to watch ads to afford car upgrades ingame. I'd much rather just make a one off purchase and get the full ingame credits without sitting through an ad. EDIT: This option exists, I just hadn't found it yet. Awesome. £9.99 is maybe a little expensive though. If it was £4.99 I'd do it in an instant. Maybe when payday rolls around.
Only played 7 stages (1 boss) but overall I enjoy the game. Neat retro style graphics, easy to learn and play. Controls are good, but take some practice. I would prefer a virtual joystick that only moves left or right. (add the option, please). Has a lot of cars, courses, achievements, and other content. Even has a storyline, all this in a small size game. Updated: thanks to devs for info about ad removal and controller support 👍
Edit: this is the first time a dev has replied to me. The thing is that the levels are good and the storyline of the game is good too. But only if you could extend the story a bit more so that we get to know how our character started racing and if another evil group was made to end racing but we go on defeating them,etc.. the physics can be improved a slight bit so that the handling upgrade actually works. Btw love the 16 bit style graphics as I prefer that while making 2d games :P .
HELP! IVE TRAVELED BACK TO THE 90S!! Huh, guess its not so bad... this game though! Looks and feels retro but plays like modern games with tight controls and polished mechanics, a great soundtrack, challenging races, and custom upgrades! Even starting off never felt like sliding around unless thats your aim. Its like a refined polished retro... ...thing (elequently put). The story even has a 90's vibe, but with multiplayer too its worth playing way into the future. A ton of fun, Support Devs!
Pretty cool retro racer. There was an arcade game back in the 80s, Ivan something, you used a wheel and it was trucks racing. This reminds me of that. The storyline also remind me of a certain cartoon about racing. Speed. The Achievements seen to be in game and not Google. At least the 6 or 7 I got so far. The upgrades are pretty hefty compared to winnings.
🎥Camera is WAY too zoomed-in, meaning taking corners is unnecessarily hard. Graphics are nice as is the mixing-and-matching of car parts. It's also great that you can play offline with no InterNet access required which is what I do all the time (with this and other Games).
Love it! Love It!! LOVE IT!!! PLEASE make more games like this one. I really like how the game is challenging but not too hard. I also especially like the customization options. I don't whether the idea of combining car bodies was original or you got the idea from somewhere else but either it was a brilliant idea. FIVE STARS⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ To anyone who thinks I was told or bribed to say this: TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!
I normally am not good enough at racing games to actually want to play them for long, but this game keeps me coming back. I love the attention to detail in the retro graphics! My only suggestion is that the controls could be customizable for where the buttons are. Great game!
It's a great time waster with a basic but fun story, the controls are very well balanced, customization was surprisingly in depth with many options for car bodies and swaps, upgrades are simple. Overall, a fantastic app that won't be leaving my phone for quite some time.
The controls the controls the controls. Very unresponsive so sometimes I dona turn and other times I end up hitting walls and im looming at my thumb and its right where its supposed to be. Very frustrating because I want to get great at this game. Ive got an All New Fire HD 8 from Amazon tablet. Other than that its a beautiful game. Outstanding graphics. Even for a dollar I wouldnt buy it if these controls are the way they are. Maybe its my hardware, idk
This is simply amazing. Super fun, super retro and the soundtrack is a total banger. I love the fact that these developers are taking pixelation seriously and not just as a gimmick and the story is intriguing too, they've really put their work into it. So far my experience has exceeded my expectations. A definite recommend to any retro loving and pixel loving gamer. Keep up the amazing work devs, hoping for more of such honest games.
10/10! This game has it all. Amazing, wacky and challenging races, a nice soundtrack, amazing boss stages, good graphics(for its genre), and you can actually customise your cars! I couldn't keep my eyes away from this game whenever I was playing it from start to finish. The challenging races make it even more interesting, the feeling of satisfaction you feel when you finally appear first after repeating a race for like five heckin times is just too good. Kudos to the guys who made this great game
Game design is great but the turning commands are terrible. The car sometimes would not turn, and when it doesn't have to it does. I wish there was an option to change the control pad sizes as well, since i have big fingers and i press the wrong buttons often.
Loving the experience but I am foing to have ti put the game down for a while. I'll check back because Im sure a feature id like is highly requested. But because of the camera and no mini map is feels near impossible to take on a race and win 1st try. After 1-2 races I have a knowledge of where ramps, and curves are as there is little warning of whats ahead.
Best racing game since Team 17's All Terrain Racing on the Amiga. Perfect for the train -short races, difficulty ramps up at a good rate. Similar to many 90s racers - ATR, Super Skidmarks etc. Gives you an option to purchase removes ads but once you do you also you recieve all the advert viewing bonuses - double coins etc. Wish more games did that.
1 race, 1 ad. Too much, no thank you. Edited: I agree, nonetheless compared with other games, the ads are still too intrusive. I usually buy games I like, but in this case the ads didn't help to have a nice gaming experience. So, no go for me.
Fun game level 5 is annoying as i cant upgrade my car past mark 2 that early in. This causes me to keep trying repeatedly as the black car kurt is slightly faster than you i have gotten within a tenth of a second. But to be fair i shouldnt allow my bad skill to lower opinins of the game as it is a good and well made game. So im going to stay semi netral at 4 stars. Thanks for the game .
I will start off by saying I play alot of games, but never post a review. But after playing this racing game I felt that if I could get even 1 person to try it, that they would have as much fun as I did, it would be it. This racing game has to be the funniest & and most challenging followed by the joy you get when you win. And repeat , I had a ton of fun ,short ads and I am searching now for a game that compares to this one, make more, this ones perfect.
This is the racing game that I looking for. Simple gameplay but good story. It also allows the player to customize the car, and the best one is you can mix many car's bodies up to you. Like this game very much!
Hands down for this game, im quite suprised for a game like this appear on the app store and the gameplay is very very nice, also reminded me of the games of my childhood, and also you can grind for coins in this game! If you dont want to pay or dont have money for it you can grind for coins by playing the completed levels coz it gives you the same amount of coins, the cutomization on cars are great and cheap too, so if you want a game that occupies your time in a few mins this is for you.
Great game. Addictive and worth playing. Only drawback is the direction controls are a bit close together. Would be good to have them either further apart or give us an option to do so in settings.
As a story-driven game, this really needs a mini-map--even one shown just before the race--so you have an idea of the racing-line. Replaying a level just to memorize it takes away from the story, especially on the boss races. As a straight-up racing game though, it's pretty great. (What does the (b) button do? I would have thought it would apply the breaks, but it seems to do nothing; it would be useful if it applied the breaks)
