Super Backup & Restore

This version puts a notification on the lockscreen to say that app backup is active. This is inappropriate, as it is using a warning area to say that a routine condition is active, and it keeps demanding my attention. I hate that! Could it not at least be optional?? It is also unclear whether it really is backing up the apk for each updated app.

I really love this app, been using it for years for all my previous phones, as well as for people i know. BUT in Mi 9T running android 11 the restore is NOT working for any backup. When trying to restore, android file selector pops up, i select my backup, then it goes back to super backup, nothing happens. Hence the 1 star as i m really frustrated - potentially lost all my backup data. I think the app permissions needs to be updated for android 11. I see it has only media file types permission.

It really works. I had backed up a bunch of my texts to Google Drive using this app some time ago and thought no more of it. When the time came that I needed a new phone, I lost my entire text history thanks to Google. I remembered the file I'd made, downloaded this app, and all the texts I had saved were loaded perfectly onto the new phone's messages app like it was the same device. I only wish I had had the sense to keep updating my backup! The app works great.

The in-app interface indicated there was only 1 app backed up (or "archived" as the app calls it). Today, by exploring my phone's folders manually through Windows Explorer, I found out it had automatically backed up APKs of every app I ever installed and deleted on the phone, WITHOUT THIS BEING SHOWN WITHIN THE APP ITSELF (remember, the app showed only 1 app backed up!). No wonder my phone had chronic available space issues! Clearing up those backup .apks released 5 GB of precious phone space! That the app can be this buggy as to not recognize it's own backups is a disgrace.

It used to work well. With the last two updates I started having some issues about the APK files it was saving as backups. I emailed support on Feb 4 and after a week with no reply I emailed again on Feb 10. Today is Feb 18 and still no reply. Bottom line here is if you need help, don't count on the developer to provide it. If my emailed had received a reply and the issues resolved, I would give it more stars. But lack of response doesn't deserve a good rating.

Had this installed on LG Aristo running Android 7 (Nougat) for several years. Started out good but has since gone downhill. Recently tried to transfer my data to a new phone and discovered it was not backing up MMS text messages, which for my phone meant any group messages. Also, after a while it would just stop automatically backing up anything and I would need to reselect the restore paths to get it going again. Finally, the Ads have become very intrusive. Shame.

Used to work great, but now there is a huge # of apps that it won't backup. It goes through the process without errors but the apps are not backed up. Checking the box for apps needing backups continues to show the same apps that fail to backup, over and over.

Is it possible to add a Scheduler to automatically backup selected intSD folders to extSD selected folders in zipx or zip format on a daily basis. My rooted devices work across a LAN with the Windows version of WinZip, but I need an Android equivalent so that my non-rooted devices data can be backed up to an extSD. I'd appreciate this immensely if you could action this request.

I purchased the app to remove the ADS, but they still pushing ADS on the features (e.g. can't use Pictures feature as you are constantly forced to buy additional software by the attached AD). Thanks for taking my money without delivering what I paid for.

I hadn't been able to find a way to record incoming calls before. This app does it beautifully! It's a bit of a time consumer to go through and delete some and save others each day but the app is good.

Nicely worked for me. Thanks for creating this app. Apps backed-up is good, creates apks. Call logs and messages also backed-up to .xml. Restore call logs and messages is fine, just you need to set default app to this app. But restoring apps is bit bad, need to click install for every app even though you selected all apps.

I'm not sure why this happens but I used this app for a long time to back up and restore my chats but now it doesn't work. I backed up my chats but now I can't restore them. The app closes itself and when I initiate the restore process nothing happens and the app gets closed. Waiting for help from the developer

It didn't work. Backup up sms to one phone transfer it to the other phone via WiFi direct followed instructions it said it restored them checked and nope it didn't over write the file it already is using so it doesn't show anything updated did it to swap the SIM card to the other phone and it didn't work

Perfectly working app, but I renamed the backup file (in order to remember the date of backup) which made this app to fail to recognise my backup file, I took another backup and copied the text contents of the unrecognisable file to newly backed up file and it restored like it used to do earlier, good app!

Fantastic App! I have used it for years moving from one phone to another. The developers have wonderfully kept up with the OS changes and it continues to work flawlessly! Well done and thank you! 👏😁✌️

5* To restore: APPS: ARCHIVED TAB (shows 0 but after going into it, scans the folder you assigned as app folder for apk files). Installing multi select shows message box to install but it installs all if you don't click one by one, just wait, or just click first install. No data for apps backed up of no root.

😠😠😡Before when I used to backup contacts, messages and call logs it used to ask whether I wanted to upload it to the cloud right after. But now I've to click on upload to cloud and then select the file after sorting the files to latest one first, and then upload it to Google drive. I don't like this at all. Please bring back uploading to cloud right after backup. Please 🙏🙏🙏

So many issues. Particularly doesn't connect to Google Drive and cloud. No use of taking backup within the phone when it is crashed. No facility of automatic backup. No live synchronization. The less we talk the better it is.

I actually use this as a conversation recorder. It worksgreat for this. I dont use bluetooth or headphones. Backing up the text messages in the only format they offer makes viewing them nearly impossible. Backup also skipped over some.

Used to be a great app. Recently it cannot easily upload backup to chosen google drive it has to be via manual send to others. Restore is not working also. So sad to see a great app failing. :( Have to go back to trusty competitor apps that still works.

This is simply the only free SMS backup app I've ever used that works. My biggest gripe with it is that you can only save your files as XMLs, you can't do XLS....and that's enough to not warrant 5*.

Admin first of all i will say thanks for this work but unfortunately i had deleted all of my audio files by accidently how i can recover them and 2nd its not connected with Google drive. Please give me your feedback asap. Thanks again for this excellent work keep it up buddy

It will be better if you add a new feature which is automatically sending the scheduled backups of call logs or sms to a specific mail from the user choice, this will be very useful for many user like me as i had many phone numbers for taking the customers orders, or any other method to receive the backups in one place

Used to work but now worthless. I use it when getting a new phone to transfer data. This time my files were grayed out if it's from my old phone, therefore disabled to use as restore.

Silently stops automatic backups at the end of calendar year. Wondered why my last backup has 31.12. and it was not for the first time. Accidentally opened the app today to find out it happened again.

Excellent for backup and restore of messages, call logs and contacts. Works absolutely fine. Best app for transferring messages, contacts.
