Aspect ratio issues. I remember playing this game when I was younger and loving it. Today I decided to pick it up again but sadly it doesn't support anything but the standard 16:9 ratio, the window struggles to adjust, and the settings are simply unreachable. An issue that seems to plague a number of mobile games. A real shame considering all the other reviews are praising the game for not changing and staying true to what it was; an adorable and fun cat adventure game. Real shame.
Three things I'm gonna complain about. • It glitches when I use the golden bat when there's a lot of coins to collect and it makes me die. • Don't you want us to play the game more so why have a life count on it? Plus some of the levels are really hard so the life hearts are unfair in my opinion. • For some screens, It doesn't fit all the way and you can't see the pause button or other stuff. Other than those issues, it is a pretty cute game and fun to play with.
IF YOU HAVE AN S22 ULTRA READ MY REVIEW. So I use to have an a52 5g galaxy. Well I recently upgraded to the s22 ultra and noticed that the screen was WAY off. I figured out a way around it to where the game is still playable. Go to the settings and type in full screen apps in the search (your phone settings), when you get there, there is a place to change the camera cut our. Have it show the camera cut out. Makes the game go back to normal view but not 100% perfect, still playable.
I've been having a super fun time with Super Cat Bros! The game's got unique, intuitive, and easily customizable controls, the art's adorable and fun, and it's all in all a neat game I'd reccomend! My only cons are that the heart system seems a bit arbitrary (though, not too obtrusive), and the screen scaling seems to be a bit off for my phone, which makes certain things a little harder. I totally suggest you check it out, it really is unique and fun!
I played this game some time ago and it just remembered it. Decided to download again cause i remember really loving it and just felt kinda nostalgic. I must say that differently from other old games i revisit, this one didn't disappoint. It's still as cute and well done as i remember it. Very great and wholesome experience. The controls are simple and the animation is adorable. The cat switching system also makes it more fun. If you like casual games and cute stuff i definitely recommend it.
It seems like fun, and what i can see is cute and colorful, but the way it has nearly a quarter or more the screen missing makes this damn near unplayable. Having seen another post from a Samsung user with a similar issue, i tried to fix it manually via my settings. Turns out Google phones lack that same workaround. Please fix this promptly as i would really like to play!
For those of you who are stuck or having trouble playing due to screen resolution there should be an option in settings that helps. For samsung go to "Display" then go to (or search for) "Full Screen Apps" then add Super Cat Bros. It will not fix the display fully, but you can now fully play the game and tell where you're going.
The reason I didn't give this game 5 stars is because the scaling doesn't work with different sizes/ratios of screens. This cuts off some of the view of the game, making it difficult to play, and sometimes, impossible. I really do like this game, it's adorable and fun and the music is great, but please, please fix this issue 🙏
Doesn't show up properly on all devices. Couldn't see half of the screen on my motorola which makes it impossible to play the game. Don't know if you can change the settings of the screen because I couldn't see the settings... Disappointing since the game looks so cute and well made.
Despite the name, it's not much of a Mario knock-off. The unlockable cats and their different abilities are really fun, and the limited switching keeps it at least moderately challenging. The controls are a little clunky, but I adjusted fairly quickly. Altogether, it's a super cute game with solid, if not terribly difficult, gameplay puzzles and a good number of levels, and the ads aren't invasive. There's not much to do after you beat it, but it's definitely fun while it lasts. Also, the last two cat slots are empty because they never added those, not because you're missing something. To save you a google search.
I'm only 11, so i can't make a very good observation, but this app is amazing. The music is poppin , the cats, caracters, controls, puzzles, and levels are all amazing! I give it a 4 star because first off, they basically want us to do a full completion run for the bells needed to pass. But it isn't a pay to win, and it keeps you busy! On top of that, its world layout is amazing too! The games animations are amazing, and gosh i wrote too much. I reccomend it to anyone who is in need of a uplift.
A fun platformer that many would enjoy, especially if you like cute and cheerful graphics....and cats! Some may find the controls to be weird at the beginning and then annoying once they played it enough, but I understood that it was part of the game. It adds challenge to a game that would have been very easy if given the usual "movement on the left and jump on the right" layout. You just need patience. Excellent game!
Been playing a little over a year+ and I've enjoyed it thus far. Not to difficult but not too easy. Ad placement is a bit funky at times but aren't too disruptive. The limited lives aren't too bad only once ran out for to a bad luck streak, but it's not punishing. Used Google rewards to pay for the ad removal and it's not expensive, $1.99 got no ads. Overall I'd recommend it for anyone who likes old nes games with a snes look. Control is easy to pick up on as well. 4 out of 5 for the game.
I love it, its similar enough to nintendo games that its just as enjoyable, but different enough to have a completely different feel to it and uniqueness that a lot of games lack these days. If my opinion changes I'll update my review but I'm pretty certain it wont change. Ads can be very slightly annoying but usually you can skip out after 5 seconds and they are in no way overwhelming. Overall great game. I'm hard to please when it comes to mobile games but this does the trick. 😉
Excellent Game, very well made and nice balance of difficulty and fun. However I am having problems with the games aspect ratio on my phone. The game doesn't seem to fit properly in the screen making buttons like settings partially obscured. This also makes it impossible to ace levels like 2-4, where my cat won't sink down below the waterline to collect the second bell. The screen just doesn't move down to allow the cat to reach that area. My phone is a Nokia 7.1.
I think the game is great! But I ran into a bug around world 5-3. I cant use the coin buddy without it lagging and stop working altogether, I dont know if any other person has experienced this and I lost a few of my coin buddies because of this. But other than that this is a very fun and challenging game, yet irritating at times. I'm still stuck on 5-3 right now and I've lost all my lives twice ugh
Amazing. One of my few favorite free2play mobile games. The controls, graphics, sounds, and physics all work so nicely. There are very few ads, which isthe best part. Note to the developer: if you want to make more money off the game, add special bonus modes, levels, mechanics, and graphics settings that are unlocked through purchase or through achievements. The achievements should require skill and be fun to get too.
Great game! Love the level designs and the cats available. It's a fun little game to pull out and play in the middle of things, and fun returning to old levels with new upgrades. However, I find I am unpleased with the abrupt ending, and the fact there are still more cats to gain and yet no other places for them. Would love to see the levels updated some time soon
CAT FAN ALERT!!! This game is ADORABLE. The controls are interesting and different, as you tap on either side of the screen to move, no jumping aside from after running to the edge of a floor in the level. I just remembered this game exists after a long, sad bout of 🐈 fever, but nothing to play. The device did not support google play, but this is a review. Overall, the controls are well implemented, and graphics are just the right amount of pixely goodness. Oh? How many stars? 5. JK. 9999999999
I don't usually play mobile games but this one really stuck out to me. It takes the charming aesthetics of classic platformer and their charming soundtracks and completely expands upon it on its own. It's so unique! I love the concept, the level designs, world building(all the little villages you can explore with it's denizens you can meet). The graphics are so cute and simple and it works so well. Soundtrack is super cute as well as unforgettable. Controls are fantastic. Get this game!
this game is absolutely adorable. My complaint is on level 1-8. Last night I played it fine. Today I load it up and the level loads wrong. The backdrop loads, but the character, enemies, and platforms are invisible. Its still playable; you can move around and the enemies are still functional, but its near impossible to beat a level when you can't see most of the level. I've tried completely restarting the game several times. Nothing. I can't enjoy a game i can't play :(
This game looks fantastic. I would play it if I could use my controller, 8BitDo N30 Pro. I can't play well with touch screen controls. If you would fix that, I'll happily download it again. Edit: i'm trying to play with touch controls but it's hard. The buttons don't appear onscreen, there is no dedicated jump button, it's just harder to play.
Very good artstyle and simple gameplay. Only 2 controls which is amazing! Press the left side of the screen to move left, press the right side of the screen to go right, double tap on either sides to run, walk into walls to wallclimb, and run off a cliff to jump. And I LOVE the idea that you collect new kitties that have different abilities, my newest cat that I unlocked so far is Amy, which can sneak under tight passages. You collect coins in the levels that you can use to unlock stuff.
The game its self is very cute, the music is very well done, has a kirby in dreamland feel to it, but the resolution doesn't fit and there's no obvious way to change the resolution of the game screen, so I have a choice of doing a lot of guess work as to what the character are saying, and also just being unable to see the entire screen... That part was a critical flaw, that the game doesn't change resolution to fit my screen properly. I'll try this game again later and see if devs fixed this.
Cool game. But there are issues that need to be fixed if I am to continue playing this game.Lots of potential. But I dont like the movement mechanics. Hard to control, sometimes unresponsive, and often lead to me hitting a monster by mistake. It would be nice if you changed it to a pad, or added the option of a pad or something. The next issue is the underwater currents, which I'm sure everybody is complaining about. You cannot pass them to get the bells and keys because the current is too strong.
This game's super fun to play through. The controls here were very responsive and the using each of the cats abilities were super fun as well. The only issue I had was with the game's screen size. The screen didn't really fit on my device and I even set it to full screen but that didn't help. It was definitely an issue with a few of the game's stages. Maybe a future minor update will fix that issue someday. (Also, remove the extra 2 cat slots when choosing a cat. It doesn't really matter here.)
