I love the quality of the playback & the simple, easy-to-use UI. Unfortunately, the app is a little too simple, missing a function that is so incredibly useful that it's - in my opinion - essential: the ability to choose your input and output sources. For example, it would often be much easier for me to just set down my mic'd wireless headphones for input while listening to the output through my wired headphones. If those two features were added, I'd change this rating to a perfect 5 stars!
This app works while listening to streaming music apps too! It's the only app I found on android that works to mix the sound from my music player with the sounds picked up by the microphone on my phone so I can hear both at the same time. I would happily give 5 stars if there was a way to control the volume of both audio sources independantly.
I originally gave your app 5 stars but I had to take 2 back. Not because of the app itself though. Its because when I tap the screen to turn it off my eardrums are assaulted with an ad at full volume immediately. I was listening to my surroundings with headphones in so they were still in my ears and now since that ad blasted unexpectedly in them I have since been hearing this sort-of buzzing type noise. You need to have the ad on mute or atleast low volume when it plays. That is not cool at all
I don't mind the ads. I dislike it shutting off after awhile on its own. Inputs/outputs can be switched to preferences', that is very nice. Overall nice application, simple, easy to use, plays in the background and powerful, indeed.
Didn't work, crashed several times.
Great idea, however, with about a three quarter second delay between the source and my bluetooth connected hearing aides, I found that I was not able to effectively talk. It was funny at first but not very practicle. Shame really as it is a great idea.
Too much delay. It's at least a .3 second delay which is too much for trying to hear music, such as attending a concert or performing music. And it's not my device. I found another app that has so little delay, it's barely noticeable.
Downloaded 5 similar apps, only this one is simple, reliable and clear, the rest either volume too low, delayed or echoing. Only problem is when the phone was rotated the app stops immediately. If without this issue, this is a 5 star app! Screen turns off the app still works, this is great. My 108 years old grandpa needs this with a Bluetooth headphones to have a normal conversation with us, loved this more than his hearing aids. Older people can use their phone with a Bluetooth headphones now!
It's clear but there is way too much delay. I am the lead keyboard player in the band and what I hear from the app is at least 3 seconds behind what the choir is singing. I've read other reviews and it appears that this is happening to many others. I know for a fact it is not my device. Not sure how so many people have the same issue but the problem may be their listening device. So, everybody's device is defective? It's got to be the app. Needs some work done to it to fix the delay problem.
I went through several other similar apps before using this one. We have computer based training at work and today's session was six hours long. The PCs in the training room have the most uncomfortable headphones imaginable and after the first half hour I was fed up. Then an idea formed - I had my cell and a pair of ear buds why can't I try and pipe it through? So I placed my phone on the table and hung the computer headphone over the mic then popped my earbubs in. Worked absolutely great.
I am hard of hearing in one ear and thought this might assist so I bought the full app. However, there is a time lag between the spoken word, which I can hear in my good ear and the amlified word through the app. So it is not suitable for my purpose. The app description should state this deficiency.
It does everything what it says it will do. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is that the app closes a few mins after the screen is locked. @Developers Fix this issue and the app will be just perfect.
So many uses! I set my phone by the TV, wear Bluetooth headphones and Voilà, can hear my shows late at night perfectly without disturbing anyone! It even clearly amplifies the kids across the street, though I've no real use for that. lol BE SURE TO USE HEADPHONES, Bluetooth being best! Love this app!
works as described but be warned. if using a bluetooth linked device (headset) and move outside bluetooth range, it will enter a feedback loop that's worse than any alarm clock you ever heard. app also stops if your phone shifts position (rolls)
worthless buy my product app. I don't have hearing aids to connect via Bluetooth and app doesn't say it is a requirement. I wanted this to work through my phone. It certainly didn't work on my Samsung gs9 with direct plug in of my ear buds.
Does what it says, but i cant control music volume over ambient noise volume. Uses your device mic, not headphone mic. Has significant delay. Nice to have as a hearing aid provided your phone has a very good sound sensor.
Sorry fellas but I had to go back and change the app rating. I'm dropping the 5 star rating down to a 2 star rating. Cant hear anything but pulsating shrieking noise, false popping noise so I'm attempting to uninstall then reinstall. Have 2 other devices and its samething on both devices. Use to work fine .
No equalizer to twerk hearing responce. no hearing test. Still, it is super easy to use. and it does clearly amplify audio. But, for more stars, app must be made movable to external SD memory.
Would be nice to have amplification control, and definitely must have the option to automatically disable itself when Bluetooth headphones or wired headphones disconnect.. Please and thank you.
100% garbage app. All are false descriptions & nothing works as described in the descriptions. Actually, we can hear a feeble sound only & it is better to hear a speech clearly & with more sound than than the sound, using this trash app. "SO, PLEASE DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS USELESS APP & WASTING YOUR TIME & DATA‼️" 😬 Hence, I am Uninstalling this app.
The clearest ive used so far feed back is minimal. It does have a tendency to turn itself off for no apparent reason but then again my phone isnt all that. Overall a GREAT APP !!!!!
I was not able to try to actually USE this program because it seems to continually throw ads over and over. So. I had to remove it and STILL it keeps running FAR TOO MANY ADS.
It has a delay, so when I am near the person I am trying to hear, I hear their voice then I hear it again really loud in my headphones. More of an annoyance than a help. Sorry.
just a gimmick totally useless as a hearing assistant, has no control settings and leaves the user listening to duel sound with a delay on one. sounds like your in three swimming baths with jumbled up echoes.
It didn't amplify much for me but when I went to exit the app it blasted my ears with a loud advert. Really terrible app.
