I want to love the game.. but it seems like it's impossible to steer... and it's really nothing like the old 80's arcade game.. you were able to upgrade your car in the arcade with wrenches

No engine sound effects? Not being able to turn off the music and no car select are my only complaints so far, i really like the gameplay and visuals.

How can you enjoy the game at times. No upgrades. All other cars can zoom right by you but you drive at a regular speed. Ended up with almost all gold on the first 21 out of 24 cutting the cornering turns in a race but i can't even place third in the 25th race or cut a turning corner early if there is room in the race. It moves you to seven place automatically. I have done the last race like 50 times. WHAT an oddity. Has anyone "placed" in the last race.
