Thank you, it is a really good emulator. Only weird issue i have is that my A and B buttons on the 8Bitdo Lite controller are flipped when i mapped the buttons to a new profile. I map A and press button A but the value B shows up on screen. There was no issue for X and Y to turbo. Not sure if this is a problem with the controller or this app, anyways it still plays with no issues.
I am about halfway through pokemon yellow when all of a sudden it would just randomly start skipping back to a previous part of the game, while I was in the middle of playing. So I saved and tried restarting the app. I reopened to the spot I saved no issue, but it kept doing the problem. So I tried restarting again. This time when I reloaded it brought me back to an area I was 3 days ago and does everytime I reload from here. This is extremely frustrating.
Perfection!! I genuinely forgot I was playing an emulator. Well, except that it's a touch screen and not buttons, of course, but I've been pleasantly surprised by how quickly I adjusted. It's a reactive, sharp, and simple emulator. Exactly what I wanted, thank you so much!!
I will admit I wasnt expecting much, and while the ads can be somewhat intrusive it plays games beautifully. The frame rate is quite nice as well as what appears to be an attempt at HD graphics, even in the case of more classic games. I appreciate this and will continue to use it as well as recommend others try it out.
An excellent, easy to use emulator without blurring pixels. My one complaint is that the colors are desaturated and do not match the tones of the original game. On other emulators the color is fine.
More of a question than a review. Is there any way to exit the rom without saving? I'm playing pokemon red and can save in game, but when I close the app and go back to the game it just starts where i was last time rather than restarting the game. All well and good until you lose a battle that you really need to win and can't cut to the last save!
The emulation runs super smooth. I love the fact that I can custom the control scheme and that it has the gameboy design. Very much impressed and I can only recomend
Ads. That isn't the problem. Can't so save states without an ad.. the ads have no where to exit out of when done. Therefore forcing you to restart the emulator.
Seems like a good emulator to me, it did exactly what it was supposed to do and let me play my childhood games. I didn't even had to do anything except dl the rom since the app finds it on the phone for you, very nice! You can put the buttons where you want to, which is appreciated, and ads are not intrusive since it doesn't happen during a game. Plus it's free, I recommand for now.
works great. the fast forward feature is nice for the old slow moving games. future updates should include: Fast forward speed adjustments. its blazing fast now but what if i only want to speed it up a little bit. multiple code lines for cheats. many multiline gameshark cheats are a pain to enter and dont seem to work in the correct way.
D pad is extremely unresponsive compared to other GBC emulators and it's becoming unplayable. I was looking for an app that doesn't put their save state system behind a paywall, but the D pad problem and extremely long ads are too much of a headache for me to want to deal with.
Works great, one ad before launching your game and then youre left alone, beyond reasonable to me. I love the way your whole phone screen looks like a gameboy, instead of a free floating square with your game and two ghost buttons underneath. Games look way better than they did on an actual gbc. Thanks for the software!
Touch controls are a little weird, if you touch slightly off center you can start moving In a different direction than intended and some other stupid things, would be way easier with a physical controller for sure. So far everything has ran smoothly otherwise.
The only thing I think that would make this better is if there was a way to allow bluetooth "cable" link content. For example bluetooth connect to another phone with the app and transfer pokemon from different phones.
Pretty darn good emulator. But the gui dpad is a little sticky and get stuck going a direction you didn't mean to or change direction only to find that you haven't actually changed direction. Other then that it is really solid.
The ads are annoying because they comprise the game play from time to time. I'm sure the paid version doesn't experience it. Nevertheless, it accurately plays all my favorites and let's my kids enjoy the classic road trip software of the 90s.
I have used this emulator for months, and i dont mind getting served ads. But now they are serving unskippable looong ads everytime you load into a save. Not only that, they also occasionally serve ads during a save. Im switching to another emulator.
Incredible little emulator for GBC ROMs. I am impressed at how easy it was to use from the get go. If you want something to just play some classics without any hassle or bloat, this is the app to get!
The game screen scrolls as you move. Also, the buttons aren't very good so your movements abruptly end. It's weird and inconvenient. Is it the worst app ever? Absolutely not. People get upset and resort to hyperbole. But is it a GOOD app? Also, no.
Awesome look and feel. Buttons are perfectly place on the screen. Buttons reaction is perfect. Clear and smooth running. One of the best emulators that I ever downloaded! I really like this Emulator.
Excellent quality with very minimal ads. Only plays ads when you use their save state function. (Not the in game save, which still works as far as I can tell.)
Probably the best GBC emu I've ever used. Also the first where I can actually use my thumbs for touchscreen controls lol. Works great with GBC and GB games, it even has cheats built in too, but I haven't gotten around to trying it. Would recommend anyone reading reviews right now to install it.
Good emmulator, you have to size down the screen for better quality though. I cant seem to speed up the game, usually there is a x2 and x5 speed but cant seem to find it which makes it kind of unplayable.
5\5!! Ive only tried a few games and emulation is perfect, i really wished that the dev would give us the option of changing the black and white gameboy screen to a green one like the original gameboy. Good job dev keep up the good work
Wow this is by far the best gbc emulator I have seen the ability to custom the buttons is perfect to fit the hand and phone. I love being able to play my old faves on my phone. You rock.
Maximum nostalgia! Works perfectly with every rom I've found so far. Feel like a kid again playing stuff like donkey kong, kirby and wario. Being able to save state in a game is a total bonus. If you want an amazing gameboy emulator then you're in the right place.
Best emulator. No ads. Good options. It's possible to customise where you want the buttons, so I could make it more confortable for my hands in different positions.
This emulator is a blessing for me I always wanted to play pokemon crystal clear but I could never find a emulator that would work with pokemon crystal clear and then I desperate for playing crystal clear installed this emulator I was so happy when I saw it worked with crystal clear other then that it's a nice emulator no speed up but still very nice so 5 stars. I have been reading reviews and the answer to the add ,,problem" is turning off the wifi on you're phone geez...
Great app. Very few ads, mostly popping up when saving or loading states, which most apps require you to pay for. Definitely one of the best GBC emulators.
Pretty great thing you got there. Played it for about a day, it's got alot of optimized things about it, you can change the layout, it really works for me.just playing the games feel so responsive, (for as responsive as super Mario land can get). It's worth the $0 and ยข0. For me at least, it works great, aside from that I just can't get used to the touch screen controls, and the fact that the buttons can only shrink down so far. Overall it's great for the job. Sorry if touch controls took a star
