Why another Superuser?
* Superuser should be open source. It's the gateway to root on your device. It must be open for independent security analysis. Obscurity (closed source) is not security.
* Superuser should be NDK buildable. No internal Android references.
* Superuser should also be AOSP buildable for those that want to embed it in their ROM.
* Superuser should also be AOSP embeddable, meaning a ROM can easily embed it into their Settings app.

It works fine as is and if you do upgrade like it wants it just goes into an endless loop. There is a manual update but it has NO instructions- not going there. So at least for my purposes it works good other than the upgrade popups that don't want to go away.
I installed this app to upgrade from a previous superuser app. Whenever I open this app and try to update the supersu binary (using "recovery install"), the phone reboots and a message is displayed "signature verification failed, installation aborted." I wanted to give it 1star but I've heard really good reviews of this app from my friends who use it that's why I gave it 2stars .Will give it 5stars if this issue is fixed.
I managed to get it to work as the binary was included in this. I then used recovery to install it and it then flashed the updated binary too. After having a lot of wall n head time getting it to work. If it fails again I would uses chainsdd I think as they have an fix that uses busybox too.
So I downloaded, installed and I get the "binary data out of date" and I can cancel or recovery install. I don't know what to do and Google has lots of different answers, figured I'd just ask here, better chance to get the right answer rather than mess around. Thanks in advance, much appreciated. I gave 2 stars because I love clockworkmod!!! I was using SuperSU, but I wanted to switch to your Superuser because, well, it's clockworkmod! But, even using the recovery method, I DO have root access. But I get no prompt to allow root access. In ES file explorer I am told that I don't have root when trying to use the built in root explorer, but when I go into the system folder, I can see everything, so I know I have root, but it isn't set up properly. when I use terminal emulator it won't give root at all
I don't have toast notifications enabled, but I keep getting "Superuser granted to shell popping up quite a bit in my notification bar. Fix that then comes the 5 star rating you want.will occur
I tried on a fresh copy of vanilla 5.1 and it keeps complaining about the SU binary being out of date. I've tried downloading the ZIP and the APK and installing manually....but no luck. Worked for me on 5.0 :(
New to rooting (2nd phone) and learning about Linux. Don't know a lot of technical things (always been a windows guy) but this gave me power and did it trouble free. Helps me to learn the workings of Linux based android.
After installing on top of ChainsDD superuser app on my rooted Samsung Infuse, I'm getting the above message. I tried installing the zip via CWM recovery, but no difference. It actually gives an error (Step1) during installation.
When I uninstall the application I lost root access.Now my mobile does not work any apps that require root access.I did a big mistake when I installed the app.Others please don't install this app.U will also face such problems
This app saved my life. The classical SuperSU wasn't able to update the binaries, but with this app I flashed the SU.zip file that you find here below (check the link) and my Motorola phone has fully access root again! Thank you very much!
I rooted my motorola xt912 & when i open it to install useruser from app it says "there was an error to install superuser, please send a log error to developer"
I had been haunted by TitaniumBackup that was always failing to make a backup to both internal and external sd card. I was getting abused by the "unsufficient storage space " error message, even though i have plenty of storage space. At that time i was using chainfire's supersu... I'm finally jubilant! :)
Just shifted from SuperSU coz titanium backup and shell adb didn't work properly. All good with ur App
UPDATE2: seems the problem is fixed.. Thanks! UPDATE: luckily i could replace this update by overwriting with old version... Working good.. I've been rejecting the request to update the binaries ACTUAL: After the update the confirmation dialog doesn't appear and the timeout takes place... An old app with permission already granted alone is fine...
Then I have to reflash the zip again. And once I boot into the desktop, it updates from the Play Store and says I have to update the binary... sometimes it works, but if I reboot again, it says the binary is out of date and I can't update it via recovery, it's as if I don't have root. Like I stated before, though, if I flash it again, it's working fine.
I have samsung galaxy nexus where I was running fine, then it's says your binary is out if date then I got 3 option install recovery and cancel so I got update file in zip and installed into root by robot and with recovery mode after that I am getting same message on every robot but it's work fine and it's up to dated why I am facing that message again an again
These guys are Pro's. And With that said i trust them and their ability to build the best apps.
I don't like the obtrusive superuser access menu. I like the one from the old superuser better, but the interface is beautiful. Although lacking in some features, it's overall pretty good.
So far, definitely better in ui and stability, and just overall, than the other obvious choices in this category; SU might be good for other variants of the gs3, but obviously not for the LTE model of the tmobile sgh-t999L. (L) being the LTE variant of sgh-t999's. Granted though, that's running cm 11 and cwm, so not sure about the stock rooted Rom. Works on every other non stock rom I've tried as well.
After getting the update, my I9001 notifies me to update binary files and throws error when I proceed with update. I am also getting Superuser denied to Superuser. Please fix.
Reallydissapointed, after installing and trying to install recovery, system keeps rebooting itself and nothing happens
The other superSU apps keep updating to keep up but this one never updates since I installed it, still worka fine and never been broken! (this phone is migrating from KingUser and still using chainfire for 2 other tablets)
I try to install binary and says that it doesn't work so your app doesn't work and this is stupid that it doesn't install so please fix it and I will give you 5 stars
We all know your work. But the reasons mentioned on the description exceeds all my expectations and your "brand" got now on top of the list for everything you have released. I'm gonna try this app for the 1st time. Pretty sure it is good as your usual stuff is. Keep up the great work.
