Not very good at all ..latest update doesn't allow refresh for Android and software updates. So it means you can't see if Android 12 is available or not. It says ERROR RETRY every time.

Can't change or disable notifications, including the "news and offers" category. Guess even a >$1000 phone isn't expensive enough to avoid being forcefed advertisements. Greedy buggers.

Can't disable the adverts for "New Product Release" notifications. Update: Android updated to 12 without notifying me of the change, no way to return to 11.

Not sure if it's intentional or not but with the recent update the option to clear some cache (I say "some because it never cleared the cache of any Google related aps) & optimise the phone has disappeared/stopped working. First world problems I know but it's annoying having to go back to clearing each one manually and restarting my phone more often to optimise so I'd appreciate it if you could please fix this.

Bad: latest update (4.10.2) removed the option to check how long the device has been running since last reboot. This is the feature I used the most. It was the first info to show up as the app loaded. Also, now it takes extra taps to check battery temperature. 2nd favourite feature. Good: the optimisation feature, I guess. Recommended actions don't look very smart. I'm rolling back to the previous version (4.8.2).

The mobile is Great. What i don't like is the adaptive brightness setting. It kept changing making the screen too dark when i was trying to look at something even when it was dark in the room. I switched it off as it was all wrong light when it was supposed to be dark and dark when i wanted it light. I now have my screen brightness set at 50% which is perfect.

Have upgraded to the latest Android 12version, but then Xperia chinese keypoard can't be used. I hated it.

Totally useless change of font and very irritating drop menu. I understand trying to fix the bugs but why change all the rest????

Doesn't let you turn off notifications and it sends you adverts.

The latest Xperia upgrade is terribly awful!!! So many stupid changes that I'm sorry I spent so much money on a Sony smartphone!! Who to send my angry detailed feedback, give me email address please?

All files in my Download folder disappeared after the last update

I really hate the optimization feature in this app as it just deleted over 0.6GB from my phone with no change log or record of what was deleted. My usual junk cleaner app(s), (Norton or AVG) lists out what type of junk and I am able to select what gets kept and what gets deleted. I do like the troubleshooting and test features part of the application.

Xperia Support App is the most useful, pre-installed app in a Sony smartphone. I really love the features of this app especially the feature that shows you the last time you restarted the phone. This is really useful for me for I always restart my phone on a weekly basis to help it refresh and recover after a week of usage. That's why I'm giving 3 stars right now as that feature is gone with the newest update. I'll revert back to the older build for now.

Never used this app. I dont have no choice if I want it or not. So for that reason I will rate it badly because that is a choice

Support is okay. Fingers crossed fingerprint sensor problem will be fixed for Xperia 1 rather than totally disabling it. :'(

Excellent app!! Sony has FINALLY managed to get an Android system that has a decent uptime with NO issues whatsoever . Same for this app. Neatly combines all the features that are already available in the menu. Also excellent for checking earwax levels during a full moon. So why can't I fully uninstall this unnecessary bloatware from my Android ?

Nowhere accurate, just giving random results on how much is "optimized", not even saying specifically what it's deleting in order make space, even if apps/programs has stopped it will say "no issues detected yet"... Nice support app btw, unnecessary. Even the asking prompt doesn't work which says "this is not available yet" when it used to work before. Waste of space/resource.

Sony updates don't work, period. Phone is continuously prompting to download updates and restart phone, all to no effect. 6 attempted updates in the last 24hrs have all failed, still the notifications keep coming. Not a good introduction to an expensive new phone: Very poor user experience. Tempted to return to my old phone which actually works.

Hi! My xperia z1 has trouble on internet setting.When traveling to mainland china, I inserted a roaming card but it remains showed no internet. However, when I use the same roaming card on samsung phone, it automatically loaded the setting and worked ! Also, when I tried to connect my phone to a new ip camera through wifi, it kept saying" cannot detect the camera". I have another xperia z1 phone but still have the same problem. Finally I need to use samsung phone to connect and open the app.

You've improved the user interface and its automatic capabilities, though with an older device, like this, its reliant on google play services to get updates. Why you didn't make your 4K UHD device in 6.3", I will never know, it would have been a cheaper price and better at playing media.

They removed the 'optimization' button which is what literally carried this app and made it any useful. Bring it back.

Cannot be uninstalled. This app cannot be uninstalled completely nor disabled. This means that it consumes system resources even though i won't ever need it. And today out of nowhere it shows me an ad? I understand that it's only a single ad over a long period of time, but come on, just let me uninstall you

Update: The issue has disappeared. I left it in "Available updates", now I looked inside the Play Store again, and it has moved to "Recently updated", all by itself. I did have enough available memory before. Seems to have been a glitch in the Play Store. [Earlier version of review:] This app is in a loop of constantly showing up in "Updates available". I press update, it downloads, installs, slides down into "Recently Updated"; 5 seconds later, it's back in available updates.

Awful. The latest update meant that my headphones were no longer recognised, and my phone randomly opens up odd screens while I'm on calls, or just shuts the call down. I've only had Sony Xperia phones for the last 6 years but will be buying a different brand next time sadly.

Can't we have an option/choice to have the old design back please? The new one looks horrible with dark themes it is way too much, too bright, sticks out, doesn't blend well at all.

They send me advertisment in this app about their new phone, i have become 2 years ago a sony Xperia L4 user and i never had any bad experience before with a phone like xperia l4 i was struggling to write this message because touchscreen stopped working and i had to lock and unlock phone to finish this review ... You gave good software guys , well done. I hope that sony will read this message and will pay attention to their software bugs on L4

My screen is moving without touching it, it's often move upwards & downwards while I'm reading its very irritating even some programs like sky walk, star chart ect. Moves left right while it's gauge to specific star or planet This is problem from Sony software kindly fix this quickly to allow me use my phone please

Very little help from this app. Advertisements notifications make it even much less desirable to have it installed on the phone. Judging by the amount of software used to create the app (list is proudly shown in the app's settings), the enormous efforts were spent for actually useless product
