Bad ,basically a waste of time cause the info I was looking for was not available but it's available on YouTube ,funny but true .
Both the app and the Sony support pages are in need of a major overhaul. The "Import from My Sony" feature doesn't work when you're attempting to add your products to the app. The link about compatible accessories sends you round in circles. The whole system is a bit of a mess!
Useless. It's difficult to enter the device identity because the requirements are too precise. After a few tries and getting 2 of 3 entered, there's no indication of how to get help. And I keep getting page not found errors - on Sony's own app. My next step is to remove it. I get results from the web site.
Please fix a bug. I am clicking on the Add button but there is no response. Please fix this problem.
The app shows the details and new news and announcements of the products but it has some problem in downloding the software or something that is available in the link , it resulted in using a browser... If it has feature of downloading the manual and supporting guides pdf and saving it here would be easy to open and read or check in urjent situation...if this feature is done it would be great one...
Useless app!!! No way to contact support. Just loading. After recent update of android tv KD-65X800G, it became slow; sound distorted/no audio when playing 4k movies; takes very long to read movie files from HDD, and sometimes it says 'no items found'. The smart tv isn't smart after all.
I have updated to the latest Support app and it has lost all my previously added devices. I cannot add devices as the 'Add' button NEVER appears. Extremely disappointing. No other reviews seem to get answered so I'm writing this for fellow users. Very poor after I used this for 18 months.
This app is a good time saver compared to manually finding the needed information on their website. Unfortunately it isnt much better than Sony's service website, which has useless links leading back to where I started. if they added a shorcut to getting my device serviced it would help a lot!
YOU NEED TO SET GOOGLE CHROME AS YOUR DEFAULT BROWSER TEMPORARILY TO ADD A PRODUCT TO THE APP. Sony, you need to add compatibility for all browsers. Works well, presents all information I need including product specifications, help, tutorials, software update info & notifications etc. Very comprehensive documentation for all products and simple to use.
Tried to add the camera. The 'Add' button is not working. I can't get my mind over how Sony messes up everytime when it comes to software. It's seen everywhere! Top notch hardware, clumsy software. That is Sony!
So.... First things first.... Why there is no option to login to your sony account so you can import all of your devices??? Secondly, i cannot add a device! The app is searching for my camera and then opens it on my default web browser..... I am using firefox as my default browser if that matters.
Nothing wrong with actual app, but of the five Sony products I tried to register only one was found (from inputting the requested model number). It only found a large OLED TV (>1yr old); not found: mobile phone (1-2yrs), noise canelling Bluetooth headphones (1yr), DAB alarm clock (2-3yrs) or old old LED TV (10-15yrs). May as well just use their website...
You have been of absolutely zero help! The playstation network page is completely misleading and I accidentally bought a bundle instead of the full game. I tried filling out your refund form but you only took the item from my purchases and did not give me any of my money back. I tried calling but the offices are closed and there are no alternatives. I was all about Sony but I dont think my next console will be Sony anymore. It's sad and I want my money or my purchase back.
It's difficult to believe this app is connected with Sony Playstation phones TVs etc. Having had issues with my Sony oled TV and Sony's poor response combined with this shoddy app, it was an easy choice to buy the Xbox series x instead of the ps5. Most response when using forum's are bots. Just bad.
Why an app? This is a perfectly good example of when someone who does not understand software, requests an app; because it's trendy. The user value is close to zero - everything still redirects to the sony website. At least make it a native web app that wraps the site. Disappointed that an org. like Sony can't provide a better user experience than this. Please invest in the full user journey. I'm a proud owner of a pair of Sony MDR-1000X, purchased at release.

Still rubbish, i cant transfer images from camera to smart phone or tablet. Yet with the old app and the same phone and tablet it all worked perfectly well.
Fantastic! The app groups one's Sony purchases and gives product specific insights, which I love. They are eminent and insightful. Sony is always a class apart and a Czar of technology! Kudos! Love it. 💐
Awful - just going round in circles. My headphones are not listed and so the information is not available - so then it takes me back eventually to the list of headphones - where my headphones are not listed... . I just want to update my headphones - is that so very hard????
Awful. I have a new Sony KD TV. I paid the supplier, Currys £125 to wall mount, set up and explain it to me. They spent 43 minutes doing nothing then left. The remote control is a mystery to me. Most of its buttons do nothing. The on-screen menu is the same. I hoped this app would be a help. It is not.
Useless, I installed this because the website has no support for the wireless earphones I bought and it showes this app. But it just shows specs, adds no support for drivers or whatever.
Why? And if you uninstall or clear data you have to re-enter everything manually! Don't bother! p.s. Don't get me wrong, I have so many Sony products, one of my favorite brand, but this app like most most Sony apps is never up to par with the hardware, sadly.
I have never seen a better example of waste of time developing and app like this one. This isn't even an app, it simulates an app browsing sony's web. Do yourself a favor and just use their web.
Waste of time even downloading. Gives the impression it does more than simply visiting the website. Unless you have the newest products dont expect much more than a manual.
App crashed without informing the user when opened along with a VPN service. Hard to imagine that an app from Sony is suffering from such a simple issue.
This is a totally useless application. Whatever be the query, it is opening a web page. We can directly go to sony web site and what is the need for this application? Also we cannot directly register a service request. Again it will open another web page.
this is just a webapp: basically the browser within a dumb app: no added value + some downsides like "accept cookie" popups and links to the android app you are already using ! Advise: just use your browser instead.
What's the point? Doesn't scan for devices, no alerts when updates are available, no control of the TV at all. It's like a web browser that only visits their site. But hey at least I now have a list of my Sony devices! Though only had one lol. Junk app!
