surespot encrypted messenger
Be sure no one else can see your messages. Use surespot and everything you send can only be read by the person you sent it to. Period. Everything sent using surespot is end-to-end encrypted with symmetric-key encryption (256 bit AES-GCM) using keys created with 521 bit ECDH shared secret derivation, but you wont notice because security in surespot is built-in, not a layer over something else. Be confident sending private information and pictures, you have control over your messages, when you delete a sent message it will be removed from the receiver's phone and images are not shareable unless you make them so. Multiple identities allow you to be who you want with just who you want, and if anyone gets annoying you can block them. Surespot does not require or store your phone number or email address and we don't mine your data, no advertisements here!
Encrypted Voice Messaging. If your eyes or hands are busy, your keyboard too cumbersome, or you just want to say it instead of type it
- voice messages are sent with the same exceptional end to end encryption as the rest of your surespot messages. Simply hold down the microphone button to record your voice message and release to send. Activate the feature from within surespot to start sending voice messages (it is free to receive and play them) and enjoy speaking freely.
Surespot uses your mobile data plan and Wi-Fi so you don’t get texting charges, especially important for those friends in other countries.

Testing for now but seen some things that can be improved . Attaching files(we know, its coming soon???). What about sent/received /read confirmations ? Something else we noticed, sometimes messages aren't received until we pick up and unlock our phones, even though surespot isn't selected in optimizing battery use. And also, a linux pc version would be super fantastic . Just saying. Appreciate the work you do. Thanks and will keep this review updated.
In a day when everyone from the NSA to Google to N. Korea to your next door neighbor knows what you're doing, what you're saying to people, and everything about our lives...we need FAR more people to start encrypting their communications. THANK YOU SURESPOT for giving us a tool that is open-source coded, end-to-end encrypted, is stable, reasonably reliable (notifications on some people's phones are sometimes spotty), offer wholly private texts, pics, and 30-second voice messages...and for free yet too (which I'd gladly pay for). You guys are awesome. Please don't get bogged down with the million feature requests everyone fires at you. Sure, I'd like this added and that changed too...I can list complaints about every app under the sun. But I'm not going to because I want you to keep improving the CORE FUNCTIONALITY of Surespot to ensure that it 1) continues to exist for us! 2) is as absolutely secure as possible, 3) BASICS like reliable notifications and reliable consistent operation continue to be improved. Don't worry about all the bells and whistles until/unless the above three core functions are rock solid. Thanks so much!!
Brilliant app.. But I wish to see the app more feature full like other messengers, ability to send all kinds of files would be awesome.. Also msg notification is very bad on my phone.. It is very irregular and always silent..
One of the greatest out there. Easy to use, friendly and so said secure too. Would've been nr1 for me if it had the possibility to select automatic message erase after certain said time period.
Delete msgs from both sides excellent feature , I fully trust encryption of this app and privacy . Would be cool if you guys can have a secure video chat app as well
Wonderful application but it's struggling to play gif. Should make a distinction between sent and received text as well.
Its a good encryption app.i have fully tested it.please add file add option for sharing.. Then it will be best encryption app in all app industry..
It won't allow me to create a username, it keeps saying error checking username and I have tried lots of different ones and it doesn't work.

If I change phone brand, must change the user name. Saving into whichever memory should be automatic. Until you correct this, ONE star.

It feels better to use this app, than any other messenger.
Very easy setup. Allows images, GIFs, photos, but it doesn't have the capability to attach files; otherwise it's a great communications tool. Quick response from the developer, that group chat and file transfer is coming. When that happens this will be my "go to" secure messaging / file sharing App.
