1. Can anyone become a member of Survey Junkie?
Members must be 13 or older and reside in the United States.
2. How do I earn points?
You must successfully complete surveys, profile questionnaires or take other rewardable actions to earn points. You'll know when an action is rewardable if it has designated points displayed within a green button.
4. How do I redeem my points?
To redeem your points click “My Points” from the navigation bar's dropdown menu or click “Current Points” from the user dashboard. Once you're on the My Points page, follow these steps:
If you have reached a minimum of 1,000 points, you are eligible to redeem your rewards with the following methods
- cash using PayPal
- popular e-Giftcards. e-Giftcards
- direct bank transfer.
PayPal redemptions may require you to log into your PayPal account. After you select your redemption method, you will be asked to select or provide the email address where you'd like to receive the reward. If you're adding a new email address, you will be required to confirm that email before proceeding with the redemption. This ensures we don't send the reward to the wrong person. Verify that the reward type, amount, and email the reward will be sent to are correct, then click “Yes, Redeem”. If you have successfully redeemed your reward, you should see a “Congratulations” popup window. This indicates that your reward has been sent to your registered PayPal or e-Giftcard email.
5. What can I redeem the points for?
Points are redeemable for cash through PayPal or e-Giftcards. E-Giftcards are currently available to U.S. residents only.

The app is easy enough to use and navigate, and at first it seems like there are a lot of options. But it seems like every single survey I try I get rejected or it fills up and boots me and I get 1-3 points for the time I put in. It feels like this happens every 9/10 surveys I try and it's getting frustrating.
This is a good survey app if you have the time to put into it. The interface is easy to navigate, the cash out is quick, & customer service is great. But they give you desktop surveys you can't do on mobile since the video/survey layout won't be supported. You also don't get as much high points surveys on mobile as desktop & a few don't load. If you have movie surveys sometimes when you get to submit it says timed out due to them not considering the clip time (11-22+mins) and closing the survey.
They do pay you and the app is easy enough to use, but often the amount of points they say a survey is will change after clicking it. Also you may spend ten or more minutes filling out a survey only to be rejected and recieve no to very few (1-3) points. The silver lining is there are a lot of surveys available compared to other paying survey sites. Edit: the amount of time you spend on almost completeing surveys only to be rejected is way too high. 2 stars now.
It would be great if they matched your info with surveys for you, to avoid you repeatedly having to enter the same things repeatedly only to be told its full or you don't qualify. My profile has that info, so why not use it? It also has more than once failed to load the next page after spending 15 minutes on a higher valued survey, only to say whoops here's 2 points, something went wrong. So you don't get paid. They offer incentives for you to complete a certain # in one day when it's impossible
I'm not thrilled that I couldn't send my winnings to my PayPal account and I couldn't get a gift card either. My only option given was to do a bank transfer. Besides that it's a good app to do surveys. pay is better than most others I've looked into before but when there aren't many high paying ones you qualify for then you'd probably make more doing more smaller paying surveys.
the thing that bugs me to the point of frustration and ending up just exiting out and not doing any more for a long while, is the fact that you could be in the middle of a survey and then all of the sudden it kicks you out and says it's full and you get 0 points for your time. At least of you don't qualify it gives you 1-3 pts for trying. But it getting full when you've already put 10-20 of your time in is awful and discouraging
I get bored enough at work to play around on here. Not worth the time or hassle. Out of my last 12 surveys, I 'failed' 11 of them. Times are very wrong. Most take 30 - 45 mins to complete. Very, very, very repetitive geographic information before every single survey. I've redeemed a total of $20 over a span of 10 months. Had to re-redeem 4 times before the system would actually send me the e-card. Spent twice that on power usage to keep my phone charged, probably.
It's a really great app once you get going on it. The amount of "non qualifying" surveys you come across versus "qualifying" ones differs greatly (you'll definitely come across more "non qualifying" surveys), but honestly you still get some points either way. finally hit my goal with points, going to redeem them for a gift card, and keep on using this app for... an indefinite amount of time.
This site used to be so much better. I've spent many hours on surveys. I try to complete alot of the highest paying surveys and at the very end, it usually always says "uh-oh you don't qualify for this survey" and I get 2 or 3 points, not the 80 or 90 points advertised...even after completing the entire thing! Also trying to start a survey only to get kicked out pretty often and saying it's no longer available is pretty annoying.
Too bad all the worthwhile surveys always end up being the ones that "filled up already" or for some silly reason, after answering too many questions, you're told you don't qualify last minute. Aside from those unforeseen definitely gonna happen 9 times outta 10 it happens reasons, the app is just fabulous. Earning pennies in a slow and excruciatingly slow manner is just so rewarding! Makes proud to be able to be an active participant in thoroughly wasting my time, and life!
Just like any other survey app I've used ever, it starts to act up when you get close to "payout." I have 464 points and see that I don't qualify for any anymore, get disqualified before it even loads, or complete a survey and go back to the home screen with no points. It's discouraging at this point
I have been doing surveys for about 3 months with consistent payouts. I never really had an issue completing surveys except for the occasional one that I didn't qualify for, for some reason or another. This past week has been nothing but getting the same message that I was disqualified for breaking rules. Nearly every survey I try gives me the same message. I contacted support but they were not helpful at all. There seems to be a glitch. I even tried to take surveys through Chrome but no luck.
This app UI is really awful. It's not intuitive. I took all the tutorial/setup surveys (had to switch to desktop view for them to appear), then couldn't switch back to mobile view. Uninstalled/reinstalled to get back to mobile view. Still 0 surveys show up under my survey tab. Shouldn't be this much of a PITA. I'll pass on this Survey Junk (sans the ie).
it works well, the only thing is, is that survey's take forever to do. They're informational, just very slow(but they do tell you around how long it will take) and 90% you don't qualify for surveys, but it helps quite a bit with finances and getting a little bit of money on the side and getting your opinion on certain things out into the world.
I just completed a few surveys to see if it was true about redeeming money and IT IS!! 🥳 So this is real, not a scam! The only con to this app is that sometimes you enter the surveys and they're full and/or you frequently get that you didn't qualify for it. They just give 2 or 3 points for trying though. I do recommend it if you trying to get a few extra bucks for lunch, gas, a small gift, etc. 😁
This was working really well af first, and I enjoyed it. However, now whenever I do really high paying surveys, I do not get awarded the points it advertised. In fact, I get none at all. For example, I just did a 30minute, 235pt worth survey, and I was not given any points for it. 30 minutes wasted. Please fix this.
WAS good! The first few months it was great was making a decent amount of pocket change and would have rated five stars. Now as the last 3 weeks or so I complete a survey and tells me I'm done and at the end it gives me the minor points of two or three saying sorry I didn't complete it!! This is happened at least two or three times a day for the past 2 to 3 weeks. They give bonus points if you complete a survey of 10 points or more within 7 to 9 days. This affects me greatly!! VERY 😢
Did enough surveys to receive a $5.00 payout only to have my ID (driver's license) fail the verification. Ive emailed them numerous times about this only to be told that everything on their end looks fine and I'm fine to make withdrawals and that I need to send them a screenshot of what's wrong. Ive done that three times now. Speaking to someone on customer support is impossible. Theres no number to call and they will not call you back. Dont waste your time with this app.
Sooo buggy. One survey keeps showing up in my queue. Tried it at least 5x, "fills up" every time. Got 1/2way through another one before it said "browser not supported. pls switch", nothing you can do about that bc on mobile you have to use survey junkie's in-app browser. Another asked for last 4 digits of phone # but if the last 4 digits starts w/ a '0' it won't count '0' as a digit. Got 1/2 through another, had to enlarge an image, was not able to back out of that screen. Buggy af. Not worth it
I've been using this app for a few years and up until recently had no issues. Now I'm always running into problems such as not being able to complete a survey due to technical issues or completing surveys and not being rewarded full point value. Tech support says there's nothing they can do. Therefore it's a waste of my time taking surveys.
It is a great way to earn a few extra bucks for sure. But I absolutely hate the fact that I can waste a lot of my time completing half the survey before it decides that I don't qualify or that it's full up..not talking about a few preliminary questions, but real time put into a survey for nothing. Beside that, totally awesome.
very long surveys that repeat themselves way too much and especially the rewards at the end are very small for how much you do, my biggest problems is when I'm doing a long survey that took me a good 50 minutes that was rated for 20 minutes and then if you miss one question then you fail the survey and all that work is for nothing. I wouldn't recommend this app again, I just redeemed what I could and that's it.
at first getting them to contact you is annoying you have to bug them about verifying your information to redeem your points. the whole sometimes you don't qualify and get 1 or 2 points is understandable but maybe up the point score since we do put time into them . survey junkie & branded surveys are probably my top 2 I use to make extra money . the app is slow but it all depends on your wifi/data. regardless I love this app & it's very easy & fun to use.
If I could vote lower I would. I spent a good couple of hours doing surveys(after finding some I qualified for which is normal) ANYWAY, when I tried to cash out(I more than met the "minimum point requirements) it kept giving me problems. I followed the notice they put saying if you have trouble just use the actual website, and STILL had problems. I tried everything and NOTHING WORKED! Even tried re-verifying and it kept giving me errors. This isn't the first time it's happened and I'm over it.
holy cow it works! I was sus about it at first. but after making almost 20 dollars I decided to withdrawal. at first it would stay on loading screen and wouldn't be able to redeem. but after emailing the technical issue I had. they replied within 24 hours and shortly after that I was able to redeem! 5 stars
Fine when it works, irritating when it doesn't. All I do is click the button to take a survey at the top of the list, and more often than not get the following message: "Sorry, you may have been disqualified for breaking one of these rules: answer honestly, be consistent, take your time. Please try again." Not sure how I'm clicking a "take survey" button wrong.
Was a good app until as of late. It gets frustrating when you click on a survey put in all your info to either get disqualified or get 75% done with a survey to then get disqualified or it conveniently freezes so they don't have to give you points. Fix this issue and maybe it will be a fun app again. I've gotten over 7,500 points doing surveys the best I can but now like I said I get kicked out after spending sometimes upwards to 15-20 minutes on surveys. Ughh
the first 2 weeks of randomly using it and I made $25. using another survey app in same time frame I've earned $30. between the 2, 50 dollars isn't bad. although once you hit $10, things seem to slow down in rewards points. very few surveys with big points rewarded. it is free money while watching tv so I will keep doing it for now.
Easy to cash out once you get to 500 points. My only concern with these surveys are that it will let you take the whole survey or very close to it (taking 5, 10 or sometimes more minutes) and then at the end of it... tell you that you don't qualify and you only receive 2 or 3 points. That absolutely infuriates me, enough to where I wanted to be a Karen and speak to someone's manager. Only, there's no one to talk to and no one really cares. But the pay out is fast.
I was going to give one star and definitely not recommend this app because I couldn't redeem. However, going back and forth with there customer service changed my mind. Not only was it exceptional they actually b talked. It wasn't a bot, and my issue was fixed and things have been great. Redemption is a breeze and hits my account instantly. Any problems with surveys, I figured was my fault for answering incorrectly, can't blame them. Highly recommend as a way to get some extra cash.
