Hi! I started playing the game and got stuck at the second rewind option, ETA : ??? When I choose an ad, it plays but doesn't count, and looks like server connection gets severed and can't be re-established. My payment to unlock premium version doesn't go through either, with the same message about no connection to the server. Is this game is still supported? The button get support doesn't work.
I really liked the story of this game, but it's held back by technical issues that shouldn't exist for games of this genre. You need to rewind the story sometimes as part of game The problem is, there is no way to skip seen dialog. You can mash your screen to slightly speed up each line, but it's insufficient. You also have to sit through lengthy camera loading screens often. What should be seamless in other games adds significant time each playthrough, taking momentum away from story.
EDIT: Get the game on Steam. Its much cheaper than paying for ads to be removed and for the ability to speed up time, and for being able to go back to an earlier point when you die. The story seems good, but the game is just a vehicle to get you to pay money to read it. the adds get in the way, often one will appear just after you've declined to watch one for a "reward". The mechanism for delivering the dialogue is much too slow, even on fast setting.
A different flavor of a text based adventure that also has some cool looking cutscenes. They also use images to aid player's imagination through the story. The different decision paths you can take make the mystery more intriguing. Since I didn't buy the game I had to endure wait times or the video ads. It's a game that's very difficult to get a good ending so I'm giving this one a good rating since it's worth it.
I really like this game! I think I have gotten almost all of the endings by now, and I have really enjoyed it so far. The ad volume is not unreasonable, but I did pay for the version without ads (and this is the first app on which I have done so). There are occasional minor inconsistencies in the story, eg. referencing information that we did not gather earlier, but not many. I loved the dialogue, the story, and the characters, and I look forward to experiencing more apps from this creator!
Awesome game. I like the humor, the story telling, the characters and everything! There's some ads but it isn't that problematic because you can skip them after a while. What I don't like is how the ads can run out after a few ads used to skip phases. Maybe I'm just impatient, but still deserve 5 stars.
I suppose I'm partial to these kinds of experiences, but I enjoy the story and mysteries. However, it's soured and frustrated by the dirty monetization. It's meant as a demo in which you can technically complete the whole game for free- but you have to start over completely on failure, and you get occasional popups. That would be fair enough, but now that I'm a good amount of time in, the rate of popup ads has become absurd. I'm convinced it's intentional. It's antagonizing. And no, I can't pay.
Although it's text-based, the story is very catching. However, when you fail, you need to repeat the process over and over. There is a speed up button but much slower than the rewind button (which is purchased). I think I've been through 5-6 scenarios but -SPOILER ALERT- they either all die or I reach a partial success where they are left with no supplies waiting for the rescue team. UPDATE: Approximately 10 scenarios aaaand finished. Hint: Check the steep path and lounge room(Savy's right)
It is a unique take on a text based adventure. Adding pictures, a good reason for text only, and a team of well bonded members, adds an air of realism that greatly improves immersion.they also clearly did their research as everything makes in a logical way. This was done by a team of passionate, intelligent people. Definitely worth playing.
Great game! The storytelling is nice and the additional details like the images are great. But I've come across a major problem: The game doesn't save when I close it; I recently lost about 2 hours of progress and every time I open the game, it restarts. As soon as the problem is fixed, I will reinstall it, uninstalling temporarily.
I must admit, this game was not what I was expecting when I first got it. Concept's good, along with plot, and the graphics and updates are also very good. When I first got this, there was no LROC Switching during the gameplay. But I'm also happy to know that you don't need to reset all progress for each save file to go down another path. Also (this is surprising to see in a game), there aren't many ads. All in all, very good game.
Tense, terrifying, terrific - you'd expect a text game to feel lifeless and disconnected, yet Zarya-1 makes you connect with each character on a deeper level. The mystery on the moon is fantastic, and the build up of suspense becomes quite emotional. This is a brilliant and original game, but unfortunately I cannot give it 4 stars because the sequence of choices leading to the successful ending don't seem in any way rational - just random. But I'm definitely anticipating part 2 of the story!
Very good story, and keeps you at the edge of your seat. Your choices have great impact upon the well-being of the astronauts, the story is intriguing and mysterious. There are ads you have to watch if you want to skip time (they're ok i guess, rather than waiting 12 hours when the crew sleeps), but the only downside is that sometimes, right when the action gets tense, ads pop up out of nowhere. A great game so far
This game presents a lunar mission in which you are the commander and you have to give orders to your people in the field. You almost always have the feel of control over the mission. The ad experience, for me, is a very good one as I like the way the developers integrated the ads in the game. Whenever you need to fast forward the game you can watch an ad and continue. Overall I recommend this game to whoever is interested in mistery and space.
This game is amazing!! I found the good ending and also some bad endings like the meteor shower :p. The good ending was like shockingly unbelievable, i don't want to spoil tho. Anyways, the ads are for the rewind/fast forward and it was totally worth it. But the other ads are super annoying like when i was in the good part of a scene/event and it popped out an ads and i was super angry but i enjoyed the game so far. I didnt get all the endings but i will try to continue to play it. Thx :>
My favorite text based game. Great story, and has amazing art at that. I liked all the characters, their funny personalities and the bond they have. I get attached to characters easily, which is a good and a bad thing cause anyone can die. It was hard but i got the good ending after a lot of trial and error. I only leave reviews when i really enjoyed it, it was so much fun and frustrating haha! text based are boring for some but a little imagination will do it. That was awesome. Kudos!
Great experience. Graphics, pictures, plot paths everything is amazing. The only thing which bothers sometimes that it doesn't give option to skip the break. I request the management to fix this issue. Nonetheless, this game is amazing. Fantastic plot and Mind Blowing graphics. Looking Forward for a sequel eagerly!!!
Too many ads, story slow and experience doesn't "feel" realistic, or like I'm an actual mission command. I really want to like the game, but it's obviously not for me. The interface itself and the way you play the game is a really great platform, great design.
Absolutely love this game. The characters, the immersion and the constant feeling of dread are spot on. You barely get any visuals, yet you're scared as hell. Only the ads for rewinding can be annoying. I understand their purpose though. Absolutely perfect game. Bloody nice job!
Interesting story with branching paths. You can't get the full picture unless you take multiple paths through. What is a slight problem is how specific it can seem to be to get a "good" ending. Still a great IF game and would love to see more with improvements.
The dialogue and characterization are exceptionally good; you quickly come to care about your team members. The gameplay, though, is linear and sometimes tedious. The choices you make are largely arbitrary, in the sense that there is no way of consistently predicting what you are supposed to be doing to succeed.
This game is fun, in that every time you play the game you find something new. And the mystery is just huge, I've replayed the game dozens of times, and I still don't think I've reached all options available. Also uh, if you want to actually figure out what happened I recommend making choices you wouldn't make and repeating things to the team or going into a room then going back because it might unlock new decisions. There are probably more secrets I didn't discover, probably more endings too.
It was promising when it started, then it failed expectations. Amazing art, terrible PAID rewind system, I WASTED hours going back to change previous decisions for nothing; no real skip mode, tapping the screen doesn't really help fast forwarding the story. Dialogs are not very professional and the neverending joke-mood is just making the experience less realistic. In every ending, no real explaination of what is happening. Background music is almost identical to Resident Evil Revelations.
Just finished the game... I think? This is a top-notch choice game, and the creators deserve a lot of credit for making the characters and interface so immersive. *SPOILER* Only problem I have with it is that I can't progress past Chapter 7, and the best outcome I can create is with the lander prematurely launching. Maybe some folks are ok with the lack of closure? If that ending really is the best way to leave the story, then I REALLY hope the creators will make a sequel to the story.
