The Visual Weather Report
swackett® is a fun new way to look at the weather. We convert complex weather data to easily-understood, visual weather reports designed for people of every age. The concept of having a visual of what to wear for the day by simply looking at my phone, but this app is seriously falling short. Takes forever for the weather to update, it keeps switching between the dude and the droid in the widget. Why bother give me an option of either or when it switches on it's own. Needs some work, until then...
Had this app for awhile on my Moto G4+. Now the alerts and radar won't load. Sent and email and they said they were updating the hd radar nothing yet. Still don't work! Update, I'm running Nougat 7.0 and the radar doesn't work! Is there no fix or update for this problem with Android. Please get this fixed. I've loved this app in the past but now I'm using other weather apps. When in the hell are you guys going to update this thing so it works!
I've used this app for several years now and loved it. However recently it started showing forecast in Celsius degrees as Fahrenheit. So 10°C which is cool was now 10°F which is below freezing. The app hasn't been updated since 2013 and clearly isn't being developed anymore.
At the end of the day, all people really care about is what they'll need for the day's weather. The one nice thing to have would be the persistent notification in the notification bar showing the current temp. Add that, and its a 5 star app
I want to absolutely love the widget feature, but for some reason it gets stuck on a loading screen anytime it tries to update. I'd say I've gotten it to work for a half a day at max. Hoping there is a fix soon for that. Otherwise I think it's a great app!
It's forever signing me out, doesn't remember my account information, and often doesn't want to show weather when I log back in. Just says to try again later. Weather shouldn't be this difficult.
Use on Mac, iOS and Android. Was a good app but lately all 5 of my devices refuse to show centigrade. Very slow to refresh. Emailed developers twice with no reply. Hence 2 stars - now given up, deleted.
I want a little more than "jacket and shades" when I saw Michelle phans video about this app she said it gave you a full outfit and it gives me literally two sometimes one clothing item. Is the iPhone app different than this one? Bc on hers it seems weirder xD
whenever it's too warm for a hoodie, it's shorts and sandals weather. Clearly these guys have never heard of wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Also, I am SICK AND TIRED of being logged out of this app 3 times a week! Associate accounts with Android ID's already!
Can't connect to the server to update weather. App hasn't been updated in almost a year. Seems like the Dev abandoned the app.
I love it. Have the Mac and iPad versions. Android version is noticeably slower at startup and losing peeps. Hope this will be improved
I installed hoping it would have the heath conditions like the iOS version my friends have, but it doesn't yet. But I'm keeping for how neat the app is. Please hurry on the heath conditions. It's helpful for those of us who are chronically ill.
LOVE IT!!!!! I 've downloaded heaps of weather apps on my ipad and android device and this is the best by far. It's complete, with daily/ hourly forecasts, satelite map. What differentiates it from the other weather apps is that it's Fun and also categorizes the weather in layterms +tells you what to wear for the weather conditions. Adding times for sunrise/dawn/ sunset/ dusk or multiwindow for android would make it even more outstanding. Please add the sunrise/ dawn etc times and I'll make it my mission to advertise it on 2-3 large forums for android users
And it won't sign back in. Uninstalled and reinstalled twice still get the same error of not being able to update at this time.
Planned to go fishing this morning and the prediction was way off. Was supposed to be sunny and as I'm sitting in my car at the pond it's raining and severely cloudy. Thanks for hurting my feelings today, Swackett.
Allot of the time I find myself wearing something that doesn't go well with the weather, but ever since I got this, I know how to dress. Thanks so much. It saved my life lol
I have this app on my mac and like it. There's a little bug on the android app where the clothing doesn't line up correctly on the person.
This originally had a dog walking index on it which I loved, but it's not been there recently, so I have to down grade this
This app is an utter waste of time. If you don't know how to dress yourself to match the weather, then you have some growing-up to do. Uninstalled.
Signs you out all the time. Now you can't log is as it says server error
For ppl complaining of the clothing suggestions being way off (too hot or too cold) u can change what temperature ranges u define as frigid, cold, cool, & hot (look in the settings). U can customize it for what is comfortable for u & the clothing will change accordingly.
This is my favorite weather app for android and iOS. The only thing missing is a widget for android.
Tried to use it in Celsius. Gives error every time about the temperatures I have not yet set and when I try to set them it gives an error again. The interface is very unfriendly. Terrible!
Always room for improvement but its very good and a novel idea....just wish you could customize the background of widget etc.
So I really like the desktop version, and the android version worked great until the recent android 5.0 update (on google nexus 5). Now it signs me out frequently, so rather than getting quick updates, I'm wasting my time signing back in. PS, I will gladly uptick my rating if this issue gets fixed.
