Im assuming this app and every app Swann puts out is the problem. It won't stay connected. When it does, a majority of the videos won't load even when wifi signal strength is "excellent" according to the app. Out if 20 rings of the doorbell, only 1 was able to be instantly viewed while the person was there. I'm shocked by how awful this product turned out to be and am returning it to the store.

Garbage. Absolutely atrocious. This app turned my doorbell into a $100 dust collector. The app is slow, never works rendering my doorbell useless. Yes it might "ding" when someone presses the button. I am within range of WiFi and it constantly turns my doorbell offline. I can't do anything with it. The doorbell would be great if they could get an app that actually works and doesn't say "request timed out." I'm going as far to return the doorbell. Very disappointed.

I was given this as a gift for xmas. Worked fine until it needed charged then wouldn't stay charged. The guy took it back and exchanged for new one. It worked but didn't stay charged very long. After I charged it, then I could not get it to connect to my wifi. I called support and tried everything that they told me to do and still no luck. I would not recommend this to anybody. Seems like there are issues with them that is more of a hastle than it is worth.

Average Package. The app is pretty slow and often by the time a notification comes through the visitor is walking away. The sound is not clear and video quality is not great. The doorbell itself is pretty well constructed but the battery life is very poor. It needs to be charged every 3-4 days and take a very long time to fully charge. It also does not interface with google home/nest. I could forgive everything else if it was compatible with Google home bit sadly it's not.

Literally trash. Got it all set up and connected last night and now after 3 hours of trying to fix it it will not connect to the app and is now just a piece of plastic laying there waiting to be brought back. Fix the app. Give it a delete account option and make it able to function if the thing bugs out and says the device is offline. Cant even delete the doorbell off the account so it can be linked to another to troubleshoot the problem. But I figured it out. This app is the problem. It's completely useless and the products its built for are even worse. It comes with a warranty but for what? So you can give me more trash that doesnt work?

Not compatible with Android 10. Main issue seems to be that when my phone was pushed to Android 10, the app was not communicating with the camera device. I had to completely start from scratch in terms of uninstalling the app and repair with swannbuzz device. After a few attempts of this process, the setup finally worked, but had no issues with the app or device prior to Android 10 push.

I have had this doorbell for about a week now. It was a challenge to just get account going and get it to connect to doorbell even sitting next to my router with 300mbs speeds. Once it was installed, it it works somewhat. It will detect motion, but what ever it detects is gone be for I can get the live feed to start. Sometimes it will even show offline for some unknown reason, other times it is just plain slow to connect.

This is absolutely one of the most useless products that I have ever purchased. First it took three days and a wasted hour with Technical Support and many, many resend requests to finally get the verification email. After the initial setup, the doorbell stayed connected to Wi-Fi for about 10 minutes before it began randomly disconnecting. During the brief periods it did connect, the app failed to load the video of detected motion. After 5 days, I'm returning this total failure of a product.

Set up using the app does not work on Pixel 2 running Android Pie. Had to dig out an old Sony tablet to get the doorbell set up. A bit ridiculous considering Pie has been out nearly a year. Once finally set up, I am getting notifications of motion being detected every minute even though nothing is out there. Meanwhile, very large delay to get notified when someone actually presses the doorbell.

This is a warning ! I bought this nightmare last year, and it has been an on going problem, does not show right a way when there is an alert , problems connecting to the internet . Technician said they are aware of the problem , you need a 2.4 wifi, luckily I have the required system , but still I can not connect to the internet at times . If someone rings the doorbell , by the time I can see who it is they are go ! Don't waste your effort ,time , and money . when it comes to protection get the real thing . PLEASE !

Bought this for a front door nowhere on the box or in the ad did it say it only works off of 2.4 GHz my Wi-Fi and most people's Wi-Fi today is 5 GHz... So it is an absolutely useless POS that wasting my time and money. One more thing about Swann many other products do work good but they use several different apps instead of one app for all of them which is incredibly inconvenient!!!

Well the majority of the reviews here ring true! Hubby bought this doorbell and sadly we didn't see all these other reviews until we got it home and were downloading the app. So it wasn't promising. Setup itself was easy enough surprisingly but as soon as it was mounted outside the door it was useless as it couldn't pick up the WiFi. Our modem is upstairs but has a very clear range to the front door. We'll be returning it tomorrow. Waste of money.

Absolute garbage. STILL waiting for the verification setup email. Swann 'support' USELESS; tried to blame the phone for their server not sending the email. I have pressed resend hundreds of times over 4 days. Ive tried2 different Android phones and an ipad and 3 different email accounts (both gmail and outlook) NOTHING WORKS The doorbell is useless without an account. I Ive been using Swann products for10 years now and they have all failed me at crucial times. No More! Im returning this.

purchased the video doorbell kit but was unable to create an account kept telling me my email was already registered. Tried different emails and same issue. Informed by tech support that this was a known issue. It has been over a month now and I have given up and returning the product that I have not been able to install due to the poor quality of this app. Not happy with Swann at all poor support. I tried again today 15/2 and still unable to create account same bloody issue

Bought Swann door bell two days back. It has intermittent issues with connectivity and alerting. I suspect the Swann network and its route back to my network (WiFi) has some issues, either it cannot cater to the bandwidth or is too slow. My own broadband connection is pretty good though. Anyone else having these issues and any comments from Swann support? Thanks

Have been using this doorbell for 1 week already and so far it's working great. I get notifications almost instantly and have already asked the postman to leave a box at my door. I first came across this Swann doorbell as i was searching for battery powered doorbells that didn't have monthly cloud fees. The app has all the basics covered but is not super slick so I deduct 1 star for that.

The app doesn't work. I got a notification about motion (actually nothing) is outside again while I was unable to get to my settings - with a no device set up message! I can absolutely not use this as intended. The picture quality is good but the app needs to be updated asap!

Recent upgrade to 5g router with a 2ghz options has not been able to connect for a month the router has 2g options but this doorbell is slow to begin with I'm looking at attachment of a old router just to use it or find a replacement for the unit. Beware the system does not age well.

** battery life is pathetic. i charged it yesterday. it alerted me saying its 100%. today its saying 60%. Desperately needs a fix for the battery life. ** and ive had visitors never alerted me. ive come home, pressed the doorbell and get an alert 20 mins later. ** still getting lots of alerts from cars driving past. ** after 1 year and still no update and all problems still exist. Pathetic DO NOT BUY THIS FAULTY DOORBELL. SWANN DONT FIX IT AND IT DOESNT WORK.

Bought this video doorbell last year for over $200 and have never been able to connect it to my wifi. It keeps saying it needs 2.4 which my internet supplies (simultaneously with 5) and it still won't work. Tried to contact Swann and they brushed me off. Total waste of money!!

I had no problem connecting the app, my wifi signal is great, but the app is laggy, even on standard view instead of HD. Picture quality is fine, motion sensor is OK, but the lagginess is infuriating. C'mon Swann - you can do better than this!

Really poor product. usually I get the doorbell notification after the person has left. and when u do get it on time the video is too slow to load on phone. Doorbell is 2m from modem with fibre broadband. might work ok if you had a tablet dedicated to the doorbell only with app always on display. I have admire the review replies from Swan, but vast majority of ratings are 1 & 2 star so the product is just poor. Why did I not read reviews before buying :(

Works great at a reasonable cost! I have the wireless chime that goes with this mode, and like how I can have it on back patio or in garage so I know when someone rings the bell. Not always convenient to stop what you're doing to access your phone.

Really poor app, bought this new Swann video wifi door bell and tried to endlessly connect it to this app, but it simply does not work. I tried other phone, doesn't work there.i can click the Swann bell on wifi network and shows connected with no network and nothing happens when I go back in app.

Nobody from Swann has made contact since August 2019, when I first posted my door bell randomly going off 24 hours a day. It's clear someone has the same frequency near by. Such an easy souloutuon but no support from Swann how to rectify or a mention on a fix if you bother to read the thousands of posts in support sites. Their issue is now my problem.. My advice is DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you already have and you don't have any issues. Take it back before the same issue happens to you..

A good app and that connects well with the doorbell across Android and IOS. The GUI could be improved with a motion detect on/off button on the main screen next to the activity clock button. (it would save time going into subpages when you are home and getting nuisance motion alerts).
