Fantastic security cameras. Absolutely disgraceful app. I am actually about to completely swap out my entire security system because of the complete lack of features on this application, the outdated design, the very hard to navigate and clunky playback menus. The fact that you get a warning right when you start the application that it's designed for older Android versions shows there's been zero thought or development on this application lately.

Very outdated tech. Swann is quickly becoming notorious for having outdated software and equipment. Their apps very rarely get any updates and as result, cameras load very slowly and sometimes even fail to load completely. Would not recommend using this company for security cam needs. There are too many other good options available that stay on top of updates and keep their tech more cutting edge.

Very outdated app and it seems that Swann has no intention of updating. I have to open, and then close app because it does not connect, repeating many times until it finally connects so I can view my cameras. The PC client is even worse and it also seems like they do not care. The system at home is 4 years old, has had no issues using it there, but it is when I am not there I want the peace of mind which comes from being able to check in on my home. Very, very frustrating and disappointing app and company which should be fixing and maintaining the software.

hate it! I am not able to go back and view the days events. I had comcast cameras before. it was so easy to review the days events, they saved them for you. swannview makes you find the events that happened. I am not able to zoom in while on my phone. I have not figured out how to use the voice option while viewing live cameras. yeah I wish I could return these stupid cameras

App needs an update. Cameras load slowly. If you want to see something, by the the the cameras load its too late. Playback doesn't always work. Hard to figure things out. The app is no good. Cameras go on and off. Sometimes black screen then you have to close the app and re open. The cameras freeze alot. This app needs an update for the better.. Plus when playback the cameras doesn't always work. App is very slow.

Terribly slow to connect if it does. Once connected, it seems to reconnect, then finally shows the views. Ports opened on router, internet working on both devices. Just a horrible experience with remote viewing. Cameras themselves are great, DVR works flawlessly, etc but these apps just don't work well. I will buy a different brand next time.

The cameras work fine, as long as you don't have to access them remotely. Very difficult to view anything recorded as it just doesn't work 80% of the time. Unfortunately the Android version is better than the Windows version you need to manage them, which works 1%. As you see last update is over 3 years ago

Had this since 2015 from Sam's Club and this has not been updated. This was my third Swann over the years. Since it's not important to them time to look for something new and reliable! Update: I cleared Google and turned off my box (30 seconds) and it started playing on my phones! No help from them!

It can sometimes take a bit of time loading live camera footage and every now and then the wireless wifi cameras fail to sync completely but that could be from a slow wifi connection or using older cameras. Still by far the best app for at home security

You would think with this many dissatisfied people, someone would come up with an update. I've used several different apps for viewing cameras and this is the worst I've seen. I don't have any trouble viewing the cameras, it's just really slow to load and there's no way to zoom in on the picture. I wouldn't use it but I've contacted Swann and this is the only app that will work with my system.

Worthless!!! Paid almost $1,000.00 for the PRO system. Beautiful cameras, clear picture and video, amazing night vision with senor lights that are superbly bright. However, the catch is that the system cannot or will not connect to the mobile app. Message, [timed out. Video unavailable] everything is set up correctly and professionally and yet; I still get a message [network error, cannot connect...I do not recommend anyone else to use this app. I am having this system removed and thrown out

It's a decent app. One thing that could be improved is the choosing the remote playback date and time. Instead of a scroll, how about a way to input the timeframes and dates in a different way. The scroll is tiresome. You scroll past because it's so small.

Been using this app for many years. On all various phones and network connections. Must say its one of the most slowest laggiest most frustrating apps ever to be made for a home security system which is suppsoe to allow you too view your cctv cameras from the comfort of being anywhere. Half the time it doest not even load and if it does it takes for ever. You really need to update the app because its been years and years there has been no update

Works ok. Works ok on internal LAN/WiFi. As far as I'm aware this app only supports older CCTV systems that never had built in remote access from internet anyway. Works fine for local network. Could do with improvements to playback, the time selections are difficult to navigate.

App is out of date, Phone updated a week ago and as soon as I opened tbe app to check my cameras, got a notice that this app may not work because it is out of date, and it didnt... Unless you want to wait for hrs to get intouch with tech support it's a waste of time to call and they have no clue!! Was a good app, slow, and locks up, but now wont work at all.... 👎👎

Live playback doesn't always connect to the server, and when it does, it fails after a few seconds. Playback is just unusable. Come on guys, other brands are doing much better than you. Last software update was Jan 2015...3 years ago... Have you given up on this app?

This is the worst app I have ever seen. I have had the units for 5 years and it has never worked properly from the phone app. I only use the apps remote on my phone to check my AirBnB homes. I've wasted my money as I could never access The Swan view system, so the whole system is useless.

After about an hour of troubleshooting...it finally connected after I disconnected from my home WiFi and used my cell phone data to connect. After the initial connection and I was able to see my cameras.. i reconnected to my home wifi and it connected as well. Hope this info helps all that were having problems.

My in laws and I installed our CCTV system around 12 months ago along with this app. No problems what so ever until just over a week ago. The in laws, and our app has stopped working at the same time and states cannot connect to the server. please get this sorted otherwise I will be looking at getting a different system.

Terrible quality cameras. Always a problem. The app is super slow and requires an enormous amount of data to use. and if you talk to a rep they will pretty much laugh at you and tell you they never guaranteed you would be able to use it on your phone. So I would ask what good is it? It is nearly impossible to pull up images or video if you are away from your home. I had to spend a great deal of money on a high quality commercial system so that I could get what I needed period because this wasn'

Ah cool! I'm not the only one that knows this app is slower than the Australian Gubberment. It's deplorable! I've been using it for about 3 years now and it appears to be getting slower and regularly fails completely to load even one camera image. Q. What are you looking at Swann? A. Nothing, the app won't load.

I have had the same problem as others not being able to connect but I have the way to fix it. Enable the password on the system itself. Uninstall the app and reinstall and and configure and that should do it. You can then turn off the password if you want.
