Note: This app uses a data stream that will connect to your Swann DVR via 3G/4G or WiFi. *Please note: Only the DVRx-3000 and 4000 models support more than 4 camera streams from one DVR, all other DVRs support a maximum of 4 channels from a single DVR.

I paid a little under 4 grandThen I installed the system myself Pictures fantastic . Like everything else it's very complicated and and it's not 0 supported very well. Takes a long time to figure it out.. My my system's probably 8 To 10 years old now. To buy a camera package you need to spend a lot of time studying the different lines . Because It's not integrated , You can't swap cameras from one system to Another. Good luck. It's best to get Is cameras that are powered
No support for newer swann models? 8500 series and newer should be supported by all swann apps. Especially claiming pro status. The bones are there but please hire competent developers.
Good morning why swan keep putting updates on your screen and blocking your camera instead of using swann space to put their updates used swann space instead of blocking my cameras to put updates nonsense
No very good all of Swann apps are outdated and dont work very well. Not user friendly
Swann do not keep up with their devices... neighbours got a cheaper version that works way better...
Opens quickly. Easy to use. Pretty good picture.
Out dated app. Swann needs to remove older apps
Gives meuch greater peace of mind, as I am able to clearly see all areas.

The only thing worse than the mobile apps for these systems is the web view. It would be nice if the icons functioned similarly across devices. On Droid a button might rotate the camera view where on iPod all the button does is rotate the menu. This version only let's me view every other camera on the system, returning error 14 for the rest.
For some reason this app now works perfectly. I'm able to see all my cameras and control my three dumb cameras everything that's described and mentioned that works perfectly. Not sure what I did to get the app to finally work but it seems to be working on both my LAN and WAN Networks.
I have found no problem getting this to work, which it does consistently on my Nexus 7 Controlling the PTZ cameras are an issue. It is very jerky. Would be great if you could access recorded data. For looking at the current activity on up to 9 cameras on wifi when out it's just fine.
My personal phone came with Lollipop and my work phone was just updated with Lollipop. This app will no longer display my cameras, and I do not expect an update since this app has not been supported in years. Fortunately, IP Cam Viewer works with my cameras which I found recommend in another user's review.
This is an improvement on the original Swannview app but there are several functions that don't work correctly. First the PTZ function is incredibly slow on my Motorola Xoom. The camera seems to pan around very very slowly. Not a problem with original app. Secondly, you are supposed to be able to double tab on any of the live video windows to make it full screen but as much as I try I can't get it to work. Only when I repeatedly tapped on on if the live video feeds for a few seconds straight did I manage to fluke getting a full screen image. Seems that the moveable video feeds interferes with the double tap. Fix those things and I'd say we have the makings of a very good app. Motorola Xoom Jellybean 4.1.1
The is an excellent app, you can have 9 channels up at the same time which in most cases is more than enough as most people have 8 cameras or less. I absolutely LOVE the fact that you can have multiple video sources up simultaneously, which means you could have 9 ip cameras up or 1 camera from 9 different DVRs. I have it setup showing 6 cameras of an 8 channel and 3 from a 4channel DVR. I prefer this over the regular pro as this works in landscape and supports alot more simultaneously channels onscreen.
I have a DVR 2600 and only 4 of the 8 cameras work on my Nexus with this app. I get error code 14 on the other cameras. I have tried the other Swannview apps and only 4 cameras work with those apps. With Swann Netviewer for the PC all the cameras show up. At least this app is free.
Only smart thing to do with anything swann is return it while you can. Their support is trash, their product is worse. This app is clunky junk, can't save images, is miserable to navigate, and hasn't been updated forever because swann has moved to their next batch of scams.
This app was fantastic on my Verizon galaxy s4 until recently. I think Either the OS upgrade to Lollipop or an application update broke it. The cameras now report a successful connection, but display no picture.
Pros: Easy to connect to my dvr. Cons: Wipes out all settings on my Note 8.0 when I close the app, cannot double tap to go from mutiple cameras to enlarge one, images are so bad there is no way to identify a person.
WHEN you get the app to work seems to work well, however app crashes after only a minute and won't run again till you reboot device or uninstall and reinstall. Connection establishes quickly and even over a slow link the quality is acceptable. Can't help but think this app is full of potential but has been rush to release without proper testing.
This is definitely a smarter app fo SwannView series. However, the only added feature that I was striving for simple does not work as the app does not allow me to view more than four cameras at a time which a disappointment. The DVR and this program's code should be modified to give more flexibility to us for viewing live video streams using our multiple smart phones and tablets.
This really should be zero stars for Swann. Bought one of their cameras a few years ago, & in recent years, the app stopped working. When I asked Swann support why, they blamed it on a third party cloud provider! Not interested in any problem they might have with other parties. Useless. As someone else pointed out in another review, there's other, & cheaper manufacturers with much better apps out there. Just don't waste your money on these clowns. They're not interested in after sales problems.
