Unlike Wattpad you do not have an option to save and the automatic save will glitch out. I have been trying to edit a chapter and have to constantly redo large chunks because it will suddenly go back to the top of the page not having saved ANYTHING. Edit (original was 3): i tried to to work around the bug and constantly check to see if it saved before closing the app or my phone. It was working but just now it reverted days of work and had me in tears. I cant keep using it.
I uploaded a story a while ago. only to find it missing from my page when I went back to edit it latter. Annoyed but I brushed it off. Recently though another one of my books disappeared. Except this time someone commented on it after it disappeared. Turns out it hadn't been deleted I just no longer had access to MY STORY!!! I looked up the first story on a seperate account and found that once again it hadn't been deleted I just didn't have access to my story. so I am done with this app.
This is a brilliant app! I've only jsut recently got it and I am really wnjoying the experience so far. The only downside is that I feel that it is hard for books to get noticed because you have the categories e.g. new books, which is brilliant, however, I feel like a yearly competition would help undiscovered gems to be discovered and it would help more writers to grow etc or maybe reviews done by the team? There is one but the sweek team doesn't seem to be overly active on it which is a shame.
My experience with this app was terrible. I had an account but now whenever I put in my information it tells me it is not a match. I also decided to try and signup with my email and same password but it tells me its already in use. So I sent an email over 10 times to myself to reset the password and it wont send me the email. I also sent a few emails to the app developers over the past few months and have heard zero back.
It's a good app, however it can be excellent if bugs are fixed. For example, when I use browser to search a story, I cannot open it in app with "open with..." option, the app take too long to show or even not respond. However, I appreciate all the work you have done. Thank you all again
This app has helped me grow as a writer. Overall it's the only app that fulfills the role that it does. My only complaint is it seems to not be running the same on newer devices. For me it has constant notification boxes saying "updating sweek info" ect... And sometimes closes on me. Would be great if those issues could be fixed but overall still love this app.
I started using Sweek in 2018. It was an amazing app until the end of 2019. Now I have difficulty opening my account and checking my messages or stories. Some of my new stories have vanished on their own and the app doesn't seem to function properly. Disappointed!!
So far, it's a good experience. There has been minor, albeit adequately frustrating, accounts where the ap just excited on its own. I've started using Sweek recently and yet I'm already finding myself anxious. I'm sure you are looking for ways to make the reading and writing experience one with growth. I will be reviewing in a month time. I have high hopes for Sweek. Also, I think it would be in the best interest of the book enthusiasts to have a wall for putting up notifications.
Deserve to give it a try. I suggest that should add reading list feature in case people want to put lots of books in store to read later. And the loading speed is slow to me, would be great if it could be improved.
If there was 0 rating available I would've given this app. Since about a year there are no updates and suddenly one fine morning I find my new stories to have simply vanished. I've e-mailed to sort the issue or else delete my account, but there has been no response from Sweek yet. If Sweek team can't/ do not want to manage issues faced by users, they should take away the app from Playstore.
I read that some people have the same problem as me, they can't login to their account because the verification email NEVER APPEARS, I have not been able to recover the stories I had for the same reason, I hate this, if you really want to be a good app, at least make an effort and don't pass this.
I can't even get in. It sends an email requesting you to basically verify your account but the so-called link it sends doesn't work. Its too small and it isn't even a proper link. So I can't use it and have no idea how it actually is. Its so Stupid and Frustrating.
I can't get back into my account I sent it my email several times but it won't send me my password. And I see from the other reviews that others are having the same problem. You should really get the issue fixed if you want to keep you app going because your not gonna get or keep many users this way. And my stories and the ones I was following wouldn't even come up on a search is that how little your users matter to you? I'm deleting the app and don't ever count on me coming back. Frag you!
I really didn't like the fact that I can't look for some specific stories and when I need to change my password the system just send me a password of its preference and I can't personalise it, its a good app but it needs to be more worked
I love everything about it except that moving on to the next chapter is so difficult. I have to go back to the table of contents and click the chapter I want to read and that gets old. FAST. Please make it easier to scroll from one chapter to the next. Thank you.
It's slow, doesn't send notifications when you are texted unless you have the app opened on the messages page. It won't let me sign in with my right account or let me reset my password
This app so far is easy to use and shows me a wide range of stories. However, my only problem is that I cannot access my own stories that I plan to edit and add chapters to.
I can log in. BUT I CAN'T CLICK ANYTHING WITHOUT THE APP CLOSING. It's so frustrating, my phone works perfectly but this app just doesn't works. Please, do something about it.
It keeps crashing on me. Everytime i sign in it just kicks me out. I give up really easily so I'm just going to delete it.(i just wanted to read fanfictions)
There should be an option to save stories offline. Every time you open the app you have to log in again and again. What if you don't have an internet connection for the time being
After uplaoding a book, the app won't open anymore. It keeps saying 'Sweek isn't responding'. I don't like this, I was starting to like the app.please kindly fix it!
A great reading and writing platform. Everything is free and a large variety of genres. UI is easy to use
The app worked good for me for the first few weeks, now it keeps crashing and kicking me out of the app. I can't even write my stories anymore.
The concept of Sweek is brilliant and I have been using it since May 2018. However, the execution of this app is appalling at best. Lately, there seem to be serious bugs in the app, that often doesn't let pages load. It also doesn't update the reads, likes and comments on stories in real time, which is a major problem, since I like to communicate with my readers.
