SwiftKey Symbols

SwiftKey Symbols is a symbol-based assistive communication app, powered by SwiftKey’s prediction technology. This Android app is designed to facilitate communication between individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other communication disabilities and their caregivers. SwiftKey Symbols learns from you in order to predict the symbol you’re most likely to want next, saving time and helping those with learning difficulties to communicate faster and more easily. To keep the communication tool simple and free of distractions, SwiftKey Symbols has a separate Admin Mode for managing your symbol collection. This can be accessed via the purple "SKS: Admin" icon in your apps (this will be automatically downloaded along with the main SwiftKey Symbols app). This application was built during one of SwiftKey’s Innovation Weeks and is being released in SwiftKey Greenhouse.

I think that the app is very useful, but I give it only 3 stars because it doesn't have option to select language other than English. If you just add languages will be very helpful for people who can't talk and doesn't know English

nice app !! some request, you could add 2 languages at same time to comunicate with other people and of course an option to switch language since phone is on English but I prefer apps on Spanish sometimes

Love it. The prediction is what the other apps such as proloquo are lacking. I think yall should push this harder and move on to the iPad where most AAC apps exist.

My son could really make use if this app. But for one aspect; the contrast is not strong enough for him. He has poor vision. Any chance of a setting for background colour? :-) :-)

I personaly am not autistic, but I know few people who have children with autism! Would be realy awesome if it could be translated in other languages... This app is very simple and only has few words so I think that we, as a community, could do it easly!

I'd love to see this have more options for voices instead of just the standard voice. I can't wait to see how this app progresses!

Help for children

This is a really great idea, and it will help a friend a lot, however it needs a lot more choices, both for being able to build sentences and to prepare for (or talk about) the day. In addition, the blue colour scheme is not working and make the line drawings very difficult to see, especially on a mobile or smaller tablet

I love that you are using your talents to fill (or at least attempt to fill) this need.
