I like how you can set the low note. I wish you could also set the high note. Also after descending and getting back to original low note, I wish it automatically advanced to next scale. I use this in the car and I would love to be have this work on autopilot, without touching the phone. Technically, this wouldn't be hard to do.
I really like the app, makes it super easy to practice scales on the go. only thing is I wish it had a better demonstration of the scales or a little more info. for example with the "ng" and "oh" sounds, I dont understand if I am supposed to hold that one sound and slide up and down the scale, or make an individual sound for every not on the scale?
Thank you Swiftscales! I absolutely love this app and I've told all my singing friends so too! Swiftscales is a major part of my 'go to' daily vocal exercise regime. It is convenient, easy to use and thorough. I showed it to my voice teacher and she says that the exercises are sound (lol). However, as I advance through the preset routines, I find that most of the exercises are way too fast for me to maintain good technique. To solve that issue, I intend to have a go creating my own routine.
I used to practice with scales on a cd - this app replaces that, but with a lot more flexibility as I can decide the length of training, the range I go to, which scales I do, etc. The touch UI is great as it's easy to use in-practice without staring at your phone, however it's not obvious at first and I highly recommend watching the tutorial videos. There is no pitch visualisation - this is about training your ear and your voice, not your sight!
Love the ability to customize. It would be nice if there was a way to set an uper limit on the exercises though. Currently you can set the starting note, but it just keeps going until you manually shut it off. It would make the routines much more convient to be able to set a range for each exercise. I love that you can make your own scales though, its very helpful!
SwiftScales has made doing vocal exercises easy - I no longer sit at my piano, trying to figure out how to play scales when I really just want to exercise my voice! It enables me to focus on how I sing. SwiftScales gives me a wide range of scales, used by professional vocal coahes and allows me to tailor them to my vocal needs. I use this app in conjunction with professional training and it is changing the way I sing, for the better.
Cool, but could be better. In the auto play mode, it could have buttons instead of just swipe commands (which often fail). Also, I would like to set the starting and ending note of the scale range, so I could just relax and sing and wouldn't need to worry about turning the scale downward in the right note.
The concept of it is awesome! I had a flaw while the scales were being reproduced, they just don't follow the actual time of the exercise. Installed in other phones with the same problem. I decided to purchase the payed version. THE ISSUE CONTINUES. I wish that could be fixed by the developer.
I'd give more than 5 stars, I mean it really helps in different level. You even got a breathe exercise and pitch exercise for free so you can train your ear, have a quick warm up and warm down if you don't have much time, it's amazing. It helped me realize that little vibration of the note n the pitch training... I give you for that pitch training it's awesome.
Great app. Honestly, my friends used to joke about my singing and I've been practising a lot for a few years with some improvement. Since I've started practising often with this app, I feel like my practice has been much more guided and deliberate thanks to the built in routines. I'm still not a great singer but I've recently been told I've got pretty good tone for an amateur by a singing teacher I met at a ski resort.
There are many singing apps available now but one needs to know which ones are best for type of singing you wish to do because the techniques used in modern styles are not interchangeable with those used for serious classical singing, though some classical technique can benefit some modern singers. Most modern singing requires power and gimmicks but not great range, extreme high notes or great agility etc. This app is good for serious classical vocal exercises.
This app is incredible... It's been of a lot of help... Nd I enjoyed it.... Doesn't require data to run its just so good thank u.... If u are a singer struggling with your vocals, get this nd take it very seriously... Watch YouTube videos too it helps you understand how the exercises works more... Good luck.. The best part.. I've encountered No ads and its very easy to use
I am trying to find an app that will tell me how my singing is. I can sing so I don't need to relearn this whole thing but I wanted an opinion. The app is in no way shape or form bad it's just not what I was looking for. I am going to reccomed it to my friend who loves singing but has no natural talent therefore needs help learning. I was not a naturally good singer to be honest I had to learn and I think this is a good app for people who cannot sing and want to give it a go. It won't help your singing or an individual song. Yes download it to try as it is free and it may work for you but it didn't help me and I found it quite difficult to work with. I wish u the best if luck and I hope this app works for you and if not I hope u find one that does xx
A wonderful find! I am new to singing and I love the way the app explains why each warm-up is important, and the benefits of the exercises. There are mamy tools amd explanations that keep me informed and interested to keep going, and see how many I uncover. I have tools to practice singing everywhere I go in this app.
Once again, I'm dropping my review to one star because the app is not working at all. As soon as I open it, an annoying background song starts playing and will not stop until I close the app. I assume it's a problem with an advertisement, but I bought the full version so this is unacceptable. Spend your money elsewhere
An amazing app for all singers out there..it has got Tons of Great routines and practices ... That said i have been getting an error since i apdated my phone to android 10 when i launch the app it says run time error below that it says something like this "bad argument #1 to floor'( number expected got nill).. Please if you can fix this I'll be most grateful
Worked great till I changed to Android. Wouldn't let me get past 'terms and conditions', couldn't click anywhere to confirm, wouldn't open anything in the app. I bought this app a few years back and had been using it for years. Now I'll have to find oemthing else. Very disappointed.
I been using this app for 7 months and I got to say it's one of the best vocal warm up apps I've ever used this app is a unique vive of its owen and seen some improvement in my vocal range, tone, pitch and breath control. If you can't afford a vocal coach this app defenetly takes the cake
TWO BREATHING EXERCIZES FOR A GAZILLON SCALES? If you are going to put together ANYTHING on learning singing it has to start with the breath. Not just the rudimentary lip trills and ballon techniques either. Put it this way: If you just wanna learn scales to sing top 40 stuff, this suffices. But if you sing classical, gospel, Metal or any other challenging genre, pass on this and seek out some youtube videos on things like engagement and appoggio.
Playback keeps tripping up Edit: I am using the latest version. Playback is still tripping up. This has happened to me on multiple devices and must be some kind of bug. I paid for this app and would expect better.
Awesome! I improved my vocal practices and also help the others with warm-ups, breathing exercise, tones and different scales. It's a professional app!
Extremely helpful app! Very easy to use interface! Perfect for daily practice! Allows me to practice my vocal runs as well.
It was very confusing. I don't know what was happening. It got stuck on an ad loop and I couldn't get out. Uninstalled.
Excellent app to warm up voice, build , strengthen, stretch the voice. also pitch exercise is a great feature for practice and check.
I've had some brilliant singing tutors and none could explain how to develop the tone of your voice as well as this app does... Highly recommended!
I like this app (I bought the full version so I could use the scales my singing teacher likes to use) Suggestions: 1.) set end points for the scales (particularly when doing routines) 4.) It might also be cool to have feedback to let you know how close to the correct tone (and how constant a volume) you're keeping (obviously would require wearing headphones). (I just found out that you could already do suggestions 2 and 3!)
