Like this a lot, very easy to use and a very helpful training tool with a range of settings. Easy to pair with my Garmin watch which makes the whole thing even better
Pretty good, a few extra features like a pace clock and the ability to have turnaround times rather than set rest would give it the extra star.
This is an update re my review from yesterday. Found a way of contacting the developer, through Facebook. The response was very quick and problem solved. When you transfer a workout it doesn't show the steps in Garmin, but does show them on your watch. The problem is with GarmiN. So it turns out that the app is great. Only Thing i wish is that like with Garmin Training plans you could add the whole training program to your calendar in on go, and not have to do it 1 at a time
For free workout ideas this app is great. I don't pay but I have plenty of options to go off of. Helped me get back into swimming
Best app I found to sync workouts to Garmin watches. The workouts also seem well thought out.
It looks really nice, but not compatible with my forerunner 55. Any chance of that changing? Please help the budget athletes like me 😉.
Exactly what I was looking for. This app builds a semi-custom training plan/schedule based upon your development goals and the time and tools you have available. It is excellent. I have only used the free version thus far but will likely upgrade to premium, even if only to show gratitude for making such a great app. Strava integration has been flawless as well. It is hard to imagine what more could be desired.
Seems pretty good. My only suggestion at the moment is to embed the videos in the app instead of linking out, and to also start the video after the intro. SwimUp lacks some of the features and refined design of Swim Coach, but has a much better demo video viewing experience and video content, and their descriptions are a little more helpful. I just use both apps together.
A great app for swim programs. I would like to see more distances included in the programs though. Nearly every program is a combination of 100m reps, with a few 50m ones thrown in. Could you add a feature where you can select different distances to include in each program? Also the slider could be improved by allowing you to increase the distance if you swim more than the set given.
Very nice app, just i am not sure if you can add in the log the times for each training logged in. I don't find edit to be able to log times.
Very good app for all types of swimming. I like to swim more professionaly, so it gives me interesting drills for strength and endurance.
I love this app, just a shame that you have to upgrade and pay to choose workouts that are designed for the equipment you have available. Sometimes I had to recreate a workout 3 or more times just to find one that fits the equipment I have. Not too much of a hassle though, still a great app.
I like the variety in the workouts and how you can personalize it to what you're working on.
This is a great app for generating a straight-forward swimming program. Its very intuative and the display is easy to read and understand at pool side. I definitely downloading and if you enjoy the free version, the subscription is well worth it in my experience.
It's not very good if you are seriously training for and event. It may be good for a casual workout here and there. I uninstalled almost immediately. The pool lengths seem to be in metric only. If you can set it for 25 yards it's not obvious how. It's not really intuitive--some options are greyed out and I'm not sure why.
Great app paired with a Garmin watch! I just wish we could also edit the description, the tip and the gear used for each rep. It would be extremely useful when exporting the workout to the Garmin. I usually like the generated workouts but sometimes I need some specific sets for VO2max or Threshold!
Great sets for training! The free version gives already lots of value, I signed to up for a month to check the full potential and it's simply great! They even have links to videos to explain different drills, just love the app. Kudos SC team! Check out my reviews of the app on Strava: T1Diab Jon *Edit - 01/11/20* I bought a Garmin watch and the sync with the app is great and intuitive; well done! I now have my session appearing on my watch while swimming 🏊🏻♂️
This is a great app. The easy flip out of the sessions is great as I can take the base training program and tailor it more to my liking or what I dd not bring on the day I plan it. Can be a challenge to fit it all in when you are not quite that good but still very happy with this app overall
As a swimmer who isn't a member of any club, Swim Coach helps me to structure my training and takes away the hassle of planning my own sessions. I like that you can exactly tailor what equipment you want to use, for how long you want to swim, and that there are direct links to videos explaining each and every drill. The subscription is at a fair and affordable price which I appreciate very much!
I have used this app almost everyday to get tons of workouts. I like that I can change a set within the workout if I need to and I have also logged all my miles since I have started using swim coach app. The drills also have a link to a video tutorial to show you how to do the drill properly.
Great free app, syncs great with garmin which is a real eye opener, so have paid up for the year for the increased workout flexibility. Would love to be able to manually edit workouts, even just the title, e.g. 23m 2000m Speed Session, so can readily id them. Also, could do with an option to easily change pool size, as swim in a 50m pool, with a divider that creates a 23m and 25m pool...
Very good. Helped me a lot to build my technique and endurance. I love the fact that the volume increases in every session. Also its amazing how can be adjusted to everyones level.
So far this is really cool. I like how you get to choose your equipment in the options and then pump out workouts with it. I'm pretty out of shape. so even beginner is challenging but hopefully I'll keep at it.
Was a swimmer for many years. Stopped completely. After trying many, this app has got me back to do a sport i love. 100% recommended. Plenty of personalization and 20€ per year for the full app is a great deal.
I love the workouts, but I'd just like the ability to edit the name of each swim. It will make planning a bit easier when I sync with Garmin Connect. At the moment all the synced workouts have the same name.
Useless app. It does nothing a calender could not do. Or a piece of paper. You can plan your swims and see if you met this goal. This random goal you made up on your own. But one thing it can do: collect your private data. It wants to know a lot it does not need to know.
Can't even create a single workout without equipment, because equipment selection requires a premium...
I have just downloaded the app. The background of the boxes is too light and the letters are white. I can't barely read what's there! I managed to create a workout but how to follow if reading the instructions is not possible? No settings available to change this...
