Swipe for Facebook Pro

A very nice app. But for some reason, it's not showing anything in the Notifications Tab. And I don't mean just old ones. I mean NOTHING! It'll show that there are some waiting (a number on the tab icon), but when you tap the tab, while it does show that it's loading them, when it finishes, there's still nothing there and the number's still on the icon. It may be the same for Messages. I don't know. I haven't gotten any of those (that I see anyway) since installing it.

Super buggy, and it keeps getting worse. Tapping on a photo sometimes switches to a different photo and you can't get the original back. If you rotate the phone it zooms in until you scroll up and down for a while and then it goes back to normal. Sometimes it gets stuck in what looks like a screenshot of itself until you hit the back button a few times. And with the latest update, sometimes when you scroll it starts to flicker up and down minutely so that it creates a buzzing effect. OP6T on 10.

So far so great. I think my gripe with any alternative Facebook app is always going to be the same - there are no smooth animations when long pressing to activate different like responses, and creating a post with multiple photos can be intuitive but still tedious. Despite that, Swipe is probably the one app where those issues have been minimal, and I really just need to get over it. This is a great alternative and nowhere near as imposing as the original app.

Overall it's getting pretty good, right now the only deal breaker that I have is that the like button on posts is very unresponsive, for example, I tap to like something and it thinks that I want to open the post instead of only liking, sometimes I tap, and it doesn't register the tap at all and I have to do it more than once, some other times I tap and hold to open the reactions menu and it doesn't register anything. If that problem gets fixed I would give it a 5 star review.

I really like the skin and the gesture short cuts, that being said the the UI for messages looks a bit cheap and unpolished. I don't really mind it because I absolutely love everything else. Would be amazing if there came a bit of a fresher look. There is no option to make calls and or video messages like on the main Messanger app. I have also stopped receiving any notifications when I receive a message. Would be great if a new message would prompt a chat bubble similar to the original app.

Everything works these days and works well with the exception of videos. It's especially annoying in this time we're all dealing with to get a notification of live video only for the notifications to go nowhere. Going to the page and tapping at video thumbnails that just won't load. Frustrating. Enough so that I'm actually considering installing the official app now after four years of using this one.

This app struggles with real time messages and has been for awhile. The newest update doesn't even let me immediately see the messages I've sent. I have to exit the message section and reload it every time I send one. Everything else is great but I use Facebook messages a lot and having it be buggy for as long as I can remember is making me about to find something else.

I like this app, a few problems tho, although the delivery and indexing seems to exceed the original app the experience is not as smooth. Such as videos do not seamlesly play automatically when you are browsing your timeline , and when you click on the videos to play on your timeline an entire new window is opened and the previous is completely covered. I am still exploring the functionality of the app and will post more. I bought the pro version it was worth a try.

This app has gone thru some major changes lately, and it continues to be buggy and not work correctly. I hope they fix it soon. Edit: the developer of this app has contacted me and asked for specific bug info. I emailed screenshots, hopefully it will help. The developers seems to be fixing the bugs.

Can you add the one click features like read messages anonymously,read messages without notifying the user we've seen/read thier message, no last seen, no read receipt. Don't be obligated to respond when we accidentally read the message. :), with turn on and off button. And Fix bugs like won't shows post that I have marked as 🌟, they should be at top, notification won't show all notifications, add Instagram, twitter and other medias too.

You will absolutely not find any alternative for Facebook that is as responsive and "good" as the official ones. You will trade off that smoothness and animations for some other benefits such as dark mode and video download. What I actually do is have both apps, I disenable notifications for swipe and only get them from Facebook, I use swipe during the night because of the dark theme, and it's a nice balance.

Nice detailed customizations of the interface. Some erratic results when selecting the "back" key on either the top of the app or the Android navigation bar, which may be related to Facebook web interface and not the Swipe Pro app. Still, this is the best of the Facebook web wrapper apps.

TWO HUGE FRUSTRATIONS... I want to CUSS up n down when I write a long post in Swipe on Facebook and then, when I pull down (scroll up) to the top to see what I've written, it RE-WRITES THE EFFIN' SCREEN and I LOSE EVERYTHING!!!! GODDAMIT why can't you turn off the screen re-write when in post editing mode!!!!!!! SECONDLY, why the heck can I not see ALLLLL of my pictures in an album as one large display of thumbnails rather than having to SCROLLLLLL AND SCROLLLL through all the pics to find what I want!!!??? Pretty basic stuff here, dude!!!

Pretty good wrapper, but has had a bug for a few weeks where you can't share anything with the app—and that's a pretty crucial FB feature. Also has a problem where Android tries to use auto fill on every text field, which is very annoying. Dev hasn't responded to these problems, but they've been responsive in the past so my fingers are crossed.

I originally paid for Swipe Pro 2 years ago. Since then I've tried many other similar apps. Recently reinstalled the app and I'm very impressed. It runs really smooth with no lag on my Google Pixel 3 XL. It has several key features that make Facebook more tolerable. Definitely the best Facebook replacement app.

A lot going for it but twitchy, not-so-smooth scrolling, unflattering layout which reminds of the many web-based Facebook substitutes and a internal Messenger replacement which is clunky and cumbersome sadly brings it down a lot. But definite potential to improve and probably the best Facebook substitute out there.

Good looking app. Like the design. Seems to be a text corruption bug when replying to posts. The text overlaps and looks garbled. Not sure if it's because the font is set to 110%. Will test other sizes.

Shame:( Refresh has always been the fault for me, ignores timer in settings making app practically unusable. What if I could return to article I left for 5mins? Maybe a solution take it offline? Remove option for a pull down refresh that's annoying. No updates or communication for sometime I guess you wanted an end. Moving to Simple ...Lite

Although Google play made me pay twice for some reason (The more I think about it, the more I consider the possibility I f***ed up myself) this app still was a steal. Low on battery use and storage space, blocks out sponsored content, you can adjust night and day themes, etc. Are there details that can be better? Of course there are (e.g. I'd like to be able to upload longer videos or like things as my page more easily) but as far as I'm concerned this app beats the official one by far. Tx Steve!

This is a very lightweight app that does the job...not perfectly but good enough without trackers, ads, etc. Unfortunately for those who want bugs fixed, it's not going to be fixed as Facebook sent this guy a C&D letter so he won't be able to work on this app anymore. Darn shame considering the original Facebook app stinks for many reasons.

more and more buggy. freezes a lot of the time, then when it unfreezes, the post I was looking for is gone. also, comments are often posted empty. one more thing. cannot send messenger texts to people viewed in swipe. two stars instead of one, for hiding stories.

Overall a very good Facebook replacement. A tad glitchy at times, but the customization options (especially Dark Mode) are excellent. The decision to combine Facebook and Messenger into one app is also smart. Keep up the good work.

Oops! Problem again and again.! Present can't share any status from the facebook page, and still i cannot share any videos from the page, also not working Notification properly, and sms system totally bad! When try to open the sms box- it’s loading so much, why you take the long time for given next update? Please refund my money or solve all the issue quickly, thanks

The best Facebook client. But, I encounter that the newsfeed doesn't refresh and usually is stuck on a specific place where I left off. I had to clear the cache and log-in again for it to work again.

Only reason it's not 5 stars is because the quality of photo uploads through this app is terrible and I can't tag friends in comments properly. It would be the perfect Facebook app if there was a way to disable 'shared' content so I only saw things my friends had posted themselves directly!
