SwipeLaunch Disabler
As of Jelly Bean, it is possible to quick launch an app (Google Now by default) by a swipe up gesture from the navigation bar, this feature can be annoying.
This app is developed to "disable" this feature. Actually the feature is not disabled, but instead launches this app that does nothing.

* Important notes ***This app does not provide a launch icon in the app drawer, so it is not possible to uninstall it in the conventional way.
Can use below methods to uninstall:(1) Use an uninstaller app, there are many on Play Store, and AppWererabbit is a good choice.(2) Goto "Settings > Apps > ALL", locate "SwipeLaunch Disabler", select to uninstall from App info screen.
This app may not be applicable to devices with a physical HOME button, mostly Samsung devices.On devices with physical HOME button, long pressing the HOME button is equivalent to swipe launch action on buttonless devices, which maybe less prone to launching of Google Now by mistake.
The "semi-circle ring" on pre-Lollipop and "exploding circle" on Lollipop is animation prior to launching this app, therefore, out of control of this app.

Cannot thank you enough. I was ready to go nuclear at Google overtaking my home button with no way of stopping it. How is that legal? I now hate them as much as fb. You've turned my phone back into a useful device as i was ready to throw it out the window due to every time i picked it up the damn assist launched after I'd turned it off!!!
Great! Thanks, I am searching to disable swap launch without disabling the Google now or Google voice but there's no option in it's app settings. But this app did the job nicely. But after installing it is working without showing the app anywhere, where is it?
I see no way to configure this. Installing has not changed the behavior of home swipe on my phone. Waste of time.

Excellent I absolutely hate that Google Now thing, it would disturb some of my games. This got rid of it easily.

Lenovo Tab3 Pro Love it. No more annoying Google Swipe. No more being kicked out of what I'm doing just to have the Google search page come up. If I swipe, the screen flickers white for a split second, then carries on as if nothing has happened. It works even better on my Lenovo S6000.
Simple and yet brilliant. Google should learn to respect its users. There's absolutely NO need to hijack the Home button in order to forcefeed your stupid Search Assistant. If people need to search for something, they can click on an icon. BTW, I installed this app because of the long press on the Home button launched forced Google Assistant/Search. This app fixed it for me, but apparently some people still have problems with the long Home press. I suggest they try the Nova Launcher, which enables to customize what happens on long Home button press.
I love what this app does when I accidentally swipe up from the home button: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING opens! I was soooo tired of seeing the Get Started page of Google Now. Don't use Now cards and never will. This gem of an app substitutes a great big nothing for an obnoxious promotion. Thanks, developer. Keep that hair growing! Moto E (2015) with Lollipop 5.0.2.
Many thanks for this apps, never use that ****ing google search, it is very annoying wrongly swipe up come up google apps. On my first device have official MM update that can disable on phone setting. Use this apps on lollipop device.
This is the solution for you who do not like swipe-to-search gesture. I am wondering why goggle did not make any option to turn the gesture off. They force people to use something that they do not like. So, here you are. Happy installing.
This app saved the day and I no longer have Google opening up and freezing my games. I've always found the Google launcher annoying, once it started keeping me from catching Pokémon it was time to go lol. I found this app and it works just as expected.
So stupid yet so necessary. My Smart phone is so smart it refuses to root and lacks the required settings to disable the retarded swipe home action. OK so it might not be so retarded if it could set per user preference as opposed to only having the option to load Google search. Jeez Google can you shove this in my face any more please. No I do not want Google search and thanks to Sony's lack of rooting options for Xperia I can't even uninstall the dam bloatware. Here I thought things might improve on Andr.
I never noticed how annoying Google swipe was until recently and thankfully this app helps remove the minor annoyance for good. I still don't understand why there isn't a way to disable it through in phone settings, but thankfully apps like this exist.
It's working perfectly in the navigation panel and any other application except Facebook scrolling. That would make it a 5 star for me
I had a need to use an app and I set it to long press home button to quickly get to it. The room has no options to change how the hardware hope button works. Sadly this is the best rom for me. Long press will bring up many different option. This app makes it so I can always launch nothing. Nownothing else happens when I long press the home button. Glad this a is still here.
