So I go through all the effort of registering, adding my flight, checking in, and then my boarding passes won't load. And I didn't get a confirmation E-Mail with boarding passes either. So now have to repeat everything on the website and hope that my passes are available there. This is really disappointing SWISS. Edit: So I went through the whole process again on the website, pressed 'send boarding pass' and then received a document 'this is not a boarding'. SERIOUSLY?
This app will make your life more complicated (which is exactly the opposite of what it should do). Good luck getting the scanner to accept your vaccine card or test results for check-in. You should fully expect to have to check-in when you arrive at the airport. And good luck making your connecting flight due to the check-in delay.
Garbage when compared to other airline travel apps. Constant refresh to see flights and 0 success on being able to see a boarding pass. Thankful that I only need to use once
Worst airline app I've used. Won't allow you to download boarding pass. Had to stand in a very long line at Dublin Airport to exchange my ticket for a boarding pass even though I only had hand luggage!Transiting via Zurich and will not be doing it again!
No flights are not shown in the app, whatsoever. Useless app. The (renewed!) Website is not much better. Slow, LARGE fonts, not much data per page, confusing info. BUT the website works, at least
The app does not do its primary job: if I book with the website, it does not fetch the bookings automatically and asks me to log in again and then type in the booking reference. Avoiding this is the very point of using such apps. Also, responses to user's actions are delayed by several seconds and you wonder if the UI really reacts and tap again and again. It might be there is a lot of useless spaghetti code in the app itself or the APIs feeding it data are unstable or flaky. A disappointment.
Boarding pass randomly disappears when needed and takes 1-2 mins to reload and get the tickets. Please make something properly or do not make at all.
Use it for business trips and personal trips. Absolutely not user friendly. To complicated and takes to much time to put in a ticket. Most of the time you add. Booking and the app is not able to show it on the cockpit. Automated check-in works only when the app is in the right mood. Details of the tickets are limited. Absolutely needs to be reviewed!
I really want to give the app a 5-star ranking, but I can't. The reasons: 1) After I checked-in I was not able to add more passengers with the same booking reference to check-in afterwards, so I called Hotline. Hotline was not able to help me and said that he check-in had to be done at the counter. At the counter they we couldn't get the seats I initially selected. My boarding pass was canceled, because I didn't add all the passengers while checking in. 2) It was not possible to book FlySmart.
Like others have mentioned, this is an annoyingly, frustrating app for several reasons. 1. Can only access one person at a time on the same itinerary. It shouldn't ask for individual names and reference number who are on the same itinerary. 2. People need to refill the same reference number and passenger names again to manage the trip. 3. WHY does it need to access my photo/video files to show the trip map? (It showed the individual itinerary without the map when it wasn't given permission.)
The buttons don't work, at first, but then you have to reload the app, reload the particular page, and eventually they work. Very slow response times from the app. Once into my booking, it doesn't recognise the API that I've already entered for this flight or other personal data entered in the past. Unless these features get improved, better off just using the email or text boarding pass etc
Problem with boarding passes persists even after recent update. Concerns situation when you have multiple flights on same day, with layover. The app shows correct boarding passes in preview screen. Then, the first time you open multiple passes, each one displays correctly. However, if then you restart the app, and try to again open your second pass, the app shows you the first pass no matter what you click. I.e. second boarding pass becomes inaccessible.
It would be nice to have the Boarding Pass in background for at least 10-20 minutes. Currently every time I go back to it using Overview (multi tasking) the boarding pass needs to be loaded again. And sometimes you have a bad connection on the plane and takes more time to load. (Unless this requirement needed more battery life, then I wouldn't want it )
worked fine for years. now it suddenly required a new registration and then would not remember the flight I just added. only "found" the flight a day after online check-in was completed. the i couldnt get the boarding pass to display, even though I got it to my email. but it would display my partners boarding pass in my app. useless at this point.
It doesn't get much worse. The app won't find your reservation if you don't add the middle initial to you first name. Duh. If you check in on the web, the app won't know you're checked in. Duh. Worst airline app I've seen and a stain on the otherwise stellar reputation of Swiss. Their aircraft and service is great. Just don't bother with the app.
Worst experience with an airline app, for example the 4 buttons on the main screen to check bookings etc never worked so I used the options bar on the left side.....until the option bar only showed by name and none of the options. Normally don't write reviews but having a flight so early in the morning in another country I can say this app didn't help at all
Buggy - doesn't seem to save information entered, even when I've logged in with flight number and/or miles and more information. Hangs frequently, most distressingly while processing a transaction, the result of which is then impossible to find. I had to call customer service to check the info, which defeats the purpose of the app.
This app fails to do the simplest of tasks for an airline app: allow you to check-in and view boarding passes. Attempt #1: check-in online for upcoming international flight. Results: fail. It does not allow you to move beyond uploaded documents required to complete the check in process. Also, warning, all files must be in jpeg/jpg/png format despite these naturally coming in pdf! Attempt #2: view boarding passes after checking in on the website. Results: Fail. "Cannot load boarding pass."
One of the least useful apps ever... Tabs leading to error pages, no sync with own account bookings and information.
Checked-in two passengers, one DOES get the boarding pass, the other one has to go to the checkin counter to get the boarding pass. Does not make ANY sense
So buggy. Does not show the right boarding pass after updating the informations on another device. Vice versa. Receiving every 5 minutes some SMS with unusefull informations. Expecting better experience and straight forward developement of this app for Android. Update: had a flight two days ago and was not able to get the boarding passes in the app. Today they are visible after flights have been ended
The boarding pass does not load which basically renders the app effectively redundant.
I've had a very difficult time retrieving boarding passes with this app. This was a large contributor to a non-refundable missed flight a few days ago. I was running late, so I tried to use the app to check in before arriving at the airport. The booking wouldn't show up, so I arrived just barely past the 40min check-in window. I would likely have made my flight, but we will never know and I'm out 100 Euro. 😑😑😑
This is an utter embarrassment! The app doesn't work, it's a collection of bugs. Home screen buttons don't work at all, the top menu came out once, then never again, now it just shows my name then freezes, literally can't do anything. (Newest Android on Samsung)
Unable to login to my account using the app although using the same login information I can successfully login with my browser. I always get a message to check my internet connection! I uninstalled and reinstalled the app with no change in results. The app wasted an hour or more of my time and left me frustrated with the experience.
Impossible and weird process of flight search and booking. Triple 'we cannot process due to technical reason'. I was enforced to create a useless profile. Very bad. Expectations were much higher, noting that Switzerland is iconic and perfect in many things. Well, I found out that avia booking is out of it. Sad.
Originaly there was no issues at all, but now the downloaded boarding passes(which i downloaded within the app) would refuse to open, making me very reliant on wifi. An offline mode would be incredibly usefull. Switching between menus, the app seemingly crashed when i was changing between boarding passes.
Unable to manage flights in conjuction with other airlines. Keep getting format errors with name and telephone numbers.
My boarding passes never ever load, so what's the point of the app if I have to print off my boarding pass anyway?! The check in process is a little bit confusing too, i.e. you never know if you're fully checked in because they keep offering you to buy extras after that process and you come back to the same page you started on. This is actually the worst airline app I've been using in quite a while - big turn off. I much prefer BA, KLM, and even easyJet is better with their app.
