Swiss Phone Book
The local.ch phonebook application helps you find private and business phone numbers and addresses in Switzerland.
It identifies your location and allows you to search in your immediate surroundings. For example you can find your way to the closest restaurant, chemist or petrol station.
To give the best possible experience we use permissions which let you make phone calls, manage your contacts, check your call history and see who is calling you. In no way we do anything malicious. Network communication:We need internet connectivity. Without it the app would not work.
Services that cost you money:If you are starting phone calls from within our app, you must pay your usual communication fees. One might call this the second most important permission of our app, after network connectivity. Without this permission, it would not be possible to directly make phone calls from an entry within the app.
Your location:We need to know your location so that you can search around yourself. Without this permission we would not be able to tell you where is the closest business you may be interested in.
Your personal information and your account:This is needed for you to add and merge entries to you address book's account of choice, and for looking up entries that are already stored in your address book. Without this we would not be able to do that.
Phone calls:This gives our Android users a unique feature, which is to tell them who is calling when there is an incoming phone call from an unknown number (a number which is not stored on your address book).

It is not working! I've allowed the app with all the permissions required but the app is not able to block or even detect call center call. The Apple app was working , the android one is not.
Only in case the phone number registered in some other person phone than you can see the number name but if the number new absolutely doesn't find can't ever so you bought it in your phone and they will take all your contacts number 😉 and valve it in the application so what we write we will see it live 😉
I don't know why they changed it but the functionality most people want (blocking call centers) is not here, it's in the search.ch app now
Latest version crashes immediately and repeatedly on Galaxy S10e. Really useless like that.
Unusable on Android 11. The popup is not dismissable at all. Only reboot of the phone helps.
Less complete than Google Maps, don't see the point of the service
Usefull app. I'm using it quite often. As a suggestion, what about a dark mode?
Always check on the hotel's own website or other hotel apps. The "Best Price" is often false.
Works well, but not with the VoIP-Client on my smartphone.

App asked with popup to be rated. I don't like to be asked to rate in that way and therefore have given a bad rating.
Accessing your call logs, your contacts no respect for the privacy. It is worse than North Korea this app

Gives you most caller ID as they call you
The automatic identification of incoming phone calls is very useful. A bug: giving the app phone logs permission will result in the app crashing immediately every next time it is run.
Reliable and accurate phone directory and caller identification
Used to be good but the "dismiss" button on the pop up of the app doesn't work on the OnePlus 8T (Android 11), which rendered this app unusable for me.

I gave the app all permissions that it needs and I have activated settings like "block telemarketing calls" and "show incoming calls info". Unfortunately, the app does not block telemarketing (even if it recognizes the number as telemarketing) and does not show info on the incoming call. Please fix, since these are (along with the phone number search) the main features
