LocalCast can cast to a Chromecast, Roku, Nexus Player, Fire TV or Stick, Sony Bravia, Samsung, LG, Panasonic and other SmartTVs, Sonos, Xbox 360, Xbox One or other DLNA Devices.
Switch will install the necessary file needed to cast from Kodi.
Install Kodi and run for initial setup.
Install LocalCast.
Install Switch and run, done!
Switch will install the playercorefactory.xml file for you, so no need to worry about that part!

Excellent simple app, I've been looking for something like this for ages. For anyone not sure what the app does, when you use the playercorefactory.xml file to allow Kodi to cast through Localcast, whenever you play a video Localcast will always open. If you wanted to play the video on your device you needed to remove the file from Kodi to stop Localcast automatically opening. This brilliant app changes the .xml file name in one click so that you can watch on your device, then with one click it changes the filename back so you can cast. Well done to the Dev. For all the one star reviews, you obviously don't know what this app does. Any casting problems are caused by Localcast not this app.
Wow!! This app deserves nothing less than 5 stars! This could not be any easier to use and is SO much nicer than going through the old XML hassle! To the dev, you are a saint! I simply can't comprehend how anyone is struggling with this and I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all of them. This app has made me so happy! I stopped using Kodi for a long while because I was sick of the back and forth with changing the filename. I'm back to using Kodi now all thanks to you! ❤️

Hello, can someone please advise the exact steps that I need to follow to able to stream from Kodi to Localcast. I have downloaded both but am unable to get it to work. Much appreciated for a response and tuturial.
didn't work couldn't see my smart tv. waste of time. also doesn't uninstall changes in kodi when you uninstall. i had to uninstall kodi to fix it!

First app I have found that works and believe me - it works great so long as you can follow simple instructions.
Doesn't work on my S9+. I followed the instructions and nothing happens unfortunately
dont pay the dollar it just shows phone to select at the top. waste of a buck.
Too much hassle. Just install es explorer and plugin for instance cast

Can't get it to play on my smart tv, the tv acts like its going to stream but nothing shows up on localcast (except ads)
Anyway to get this to work with spmc? I have a Kodi and spmc running on my phone. Kodi works a treat, not sure how to get it to recognise my rookie spmc though
I got all the apps needed to use this. have watched the video a few times but when opening kodi through localcast, it does now pop open to give the option to cast but it doesn't cast. I've tried YouTube videos and videos through Covenant but nothing plays. can so.eone help?
I love this. Very simple but it automates switching between the TV and phone. Perfect.

Whoever made this switch for Kodi is a Boss! I was doing it the old LONG way which was very annoying. I even purchased the app to show my appreciation which is rare for me. It removes the adds completely. I suggest everyone else who appreciates and uses this "switch" do the same! Thanks developer. 5☄️
Ybe its something im doing but i have kodi v17.3 krypton and this app is not working with it i really dont know why .. when i restart kodi nothing happens please help
It works I recently added this for my Xbox one. When ever I'm not around my system I switched back to my phone very useful whenever I get money I pay without ads. Is it one time pay?

Amazing! I can now stream everything from Kodi to my TV with this app in less time than it takes to write the review! I used to use the LocalCast browser to stream my content, but this completes my portable streaming setup on my phone! Paid for the full version. When apps make life easier, gotta support the developer. Best money I've spent on an app in a while!
Holy crap! This app is a godsend! I had to literally change the files of kodi just to do this and then change them back for normal.... THIS IS ALL OF THAT BS IN A SINGLE APP! I love it! I wish you had a donate button just so I could pay for this app jist out of appreciation for finally making kodi into the app I've always needed! Goddamn this simple toggle is a masterpiece!
This app completes my Kodi setup. Nothing needed after installing this...we'll maybe some hot buttered popcorn and a recliner! The ads didn't bother me but I donated anyway because you deserve it. Thanx for a great app!!
Have it set set to cast, I restart kodi and when I try to watch a movie or show it kodi closes

It works I have a Galaxy S9. Thank you for developing this app. Eazy 10 Stars if it went up that high. All you have to do is follow the simple instructions provided and magically Kodi is on my TV. This developer knows what they are doing. I don't understand the one-star reviews. Was easier to set up then my Chromecast or the full version of local cast even. You literally open up this app first then Kodi and that's it. Thank you
