Switch to Windows Phone
We are offering you two ways to move your data to Windows Phone:
(1) WiFi: if you’ve already set up your Windows phone. You’ll be able to move your contacts, text messages, photos, videos, and music over directly using virtual Wi-Fi and an app that you install on your new phone. My HTC Android phone tells me to look for a Blank WLANID and a blank WLAN Password on my Windows phone - not exactly helpful. Please fix. I also have a small phone screen but managed to see the buttons by changing the font size to the smallest setting, The One Drive login doesn't work either.
Really Microsoft, like you have to be kidding me, you're email address don't even work. Just like this app, I don't think that I would ever recommend this app at all. I have had this app open all day and it has still not loaded the WLAN ID or the password. I honestly thought that with this being a Microsoft product it would be a lot better then this.
The first screen is supposed to offer 2 options (Wi-Fi or One Drive), however, it is not possible to scroll down the screen to access those options. Further, it's not possible to resize the screen to show the complete page. (I only know how the complete page should appear as I viewed in on my PC but cannot on an Android phone.) Without the ability to access the options on the very first screen, this application is rendered useless.
Attempted wifi xfr from Note 3. However Verizon detects the connection as a Hotspot and "checks for a subscription", then shuts down the virtual network if the feature isn't being paid for. Possible fix: create a VPN connection as FoxFi does to allow this to work.
Maybe you don't know what your doing I just recently changed a moto G into a windows phone with active cloud storage plus I had 3D graphics installed with only 8g internal over 40 apps installed plus had about 1½g left. So don't give bad revues if you don't know what your doing ÷]
Shame upon you Microsoft! Such a great global company managed to present totally nonfunctional and inconvenient app. Can't connect to WiFi, cannot upload to onedrive...My Lumia was bought with a deep respect to geniuses of Microsoft, but your are disappointing your fans with each step of yours. Do something at last!
I want to switch to my new Lumia 950 XL. Cannot setup a Wi-Fi hotspot on my Nexus 6P with 7.1.1; gives a blank Wi-Fi ID and password. It works on my Asus PadFone S with 4.4.2 and Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo with 4.4.4. But when using the PadFone not all messages are restored. With both the PadFone and the Galaxy some messages are restored with wrong timestamps. It seems the app cannot handle am/pm: I get messages restored for example as 1:43 am where it should have been 1:43 pm (13:43). All three Android phones are running stock firmware from their respective companies.
Not sure why so many people couldn't figure this out, but this app works perfectly. My phone runs windows 10 mobile, so I can't speak for any device on 8. Glad to be on a phone that syncs with everything from my custom pc to my new Xbox One. Also love having full website support with Edge (including automatic converting of Flash to html 5), so there is no need for apps like Facebook or Youtube or Amazon Instant Video or Netflix... this app made the switch fast so I could get to enjoying my phone.
Clearly Windows Phone still hasn't got their stuff together. I circle back around to a Windows Phone I own periodically to check it out. Needed this migration to work so I could test it with my new jobs outlook servers. As a former Windows Phone Expert, I REALLY wish they'd get it together. It has such potential but Microsoft refuses to support it correctly and thus devs don't either. This app is evidence.
I've been an Android user for years but the Android lag issues are seriously starting to get on my nerves I'm actually considering switching.
I keep getting an error message saying There was a problem applying the settings sync service policy.
People who can login, or receiving wrong password msg, cuz you need to create app password for your 2 step sign in. MS sent a SMS and email to me about this info
Doesn't work on galaxy s6 running marshmallow. Will not find a wlan ID or password. MS hasn't updated in over a year. This is partly why they are happy wallowing in 1% market share.
Works exactly as stated. Just be patient. It took me two attempts to locate the direct link. But I doubt that is the app. I am guessing it's the poor quality AP I use. Transferred 8000 sms messages without a hiccup. Glad I found this app.
I just switched from Lumia 930 to Galaxy s6! Couldn't put up with no YouTube or descent apps any longer. Felt like I was just missing out on things.
LG k7... It appears the bottom of the app is blocked by the small screen and you can't scroll up so the app doesn't work at all
App has not worked since android 5.1. i am now on android nougat 7 on a galaxy note 5. pointless app at this stage. When it did work it was brilliant but now i give it 1 star. please update and it is back to 5 stars.

Waste Of Time Don't Get This If You Do Not Have A Windows Phone It Won't Download Or Backup It Even The Wifi
Tried all options , wifi, one drive and none works. Please remove it for the store if no longer supported.
This app just don't work. Just use the transfer my data app on windows phone.
Doesn't create hotspot so manually created one. Even after that it doesn't detect the connected device. On top of it tried backing up data to OneDrive & received error "Sync Protocol Problem". Isn't the required permission already granted during installation
Fails to create a wifi connection. After much online research, figured out how to connect to onedrive, but can't backup sms messages to onedrive. tl;dr - this app cannot do the one thing it says it can do.
I didn't realize it's basically an app to convert data from this device to another . Disappointed
Didn't even work properly when I wanted to send the data over wifi or when i tried to back it up.
What a complete waste time app is completely useless and doesn't at all as advertised. I feel taken advantage of and it was free.
Moved 8k SMS messages from SGS2 to Lumia950 using the WiFi feature. Same language settings on both phones. Unfortunately all pm messages are imported with am time, e.g. 5:30pm is copied to 5:30am. useless.
It happened several times, probably they don't support Android Marshmallow
stupid, cannot do anything with this application. I tried to connect to one drive it shows invalid password even I entered correct one for some many times. tried with Wifi, it never shows any wland id. that the hell Microsoft? I should not buy your phone ever again
Terrible app. Won't authenticate live account and wifi mode completely broken. And when you search for answers you find the community page where replies are collapsed and can't actually be shown - in Chrome or Edge. Another fine product written by first year co-ops and left to rot in the app stores.
