I'd give negative stars if possible. We used this app during the start of the pandemic. A little quirky but it worked. Now on the 2nd try, it's absolute trash. The app doesn't open incoming office line calls. Only allows you to dial inner office exts and doesn't allow outgoing calls from it. Absolutely worthless at this point.
Now that the app is integrated with the native phone app it will not work if you use google voice for your standard calling. Dialing from within the switchvox app still outputs to the phone app which then tries to call via google voice and fails. This makes it unusable for someone who uses their google voice number for all their personal calls and needs to use switchvox for company calls. Only way to coexist now is to turn off google voice every time i want to use switchvox. Dialing from the phone app should be a choice of how to go out(switchvox or phone). Dialing from the switchvox app should be a direct shot voip call and never touch the native phone app. Then users are given a choice.
This app rarely works. Incoming calls don't come through, no missed call notification... Only receiving the voicemail. Freezes all the time. Works when it wants to and constantly needs to be reconfigured. I've given up and just started to give people my personal cell phone number.
I've never had any luck with this. The app has done everything from working, to freezing, to not receiving direct or queue calls, and at this point I'm unable to even get the application to launch from a fresh install (didn't even make it past the grey screen).
Might be the worst app on my phone. Crashes often, has configuration issues without any changes, and always finds new ways to annoy me. For years this app is a primary reason we tell our clients to use any phone system other than Digium. I expect someone to spend some money to fix this app because it makes all of Sangoma seem pathetic.
Incredibly buggy and doesn't ring half the time. When it does ring, it does so endlessly, even after the call has been picked up elsewhere. Digium support has worked on this many times and it's always the same.
Creates more problems than it solves. I really want it to work! When it works it's great, but that is barely a fraction of the time. The switchvox system is great but thi app is worthless.
Software is junk. Switchvox itself works fairly well. But setting up a soft phone is unnecessarily complicated. Might as well just forward the lines.
I use a t-moblie for my service and I have a galaxy S9. I have spent over 15 hours on the phone with customer support with Digium swithcvox and they have come to the conclusion that this mobile app will not work on my phone. So if any users in your organization has this provider and/or phone, they will not be able to use this app. I would love to use the features that their sales team sold me on. They should not be marketing this feature if it will not work.
Glitchy. When it works, it's great. However, i have to uninstall and reinstall every month or two, because i stop seeing voicemails and missed calls.
Fails 90% of the time. It might open, it might connect but it probably won't. We can't use the desktop softphone because the cloud pbx isn't being updated.
Issues: ----------- Application locks up when trying to reject calls ----------- Application sometimes fails to receive incoming calls ----------- When connecting to a IVR the softphone is not sending DTMF tones, backing out of the Phone app after attempting to confuses the app and the Phone thinks its not connected even though the line is live. ----------- Suggestions: ----------- Make some way for the end user to know if a call is coming through on the personal line or the switchvox line ----------- Add option to require key press to accept a call when answered like is available for forwarded calls.
Really hit and miss if it works or not on a given phone. Bluetooth support is pants. Car audio integration non-existant.
Worked great for about 10 min. Received one phone call and then could not use any Bluetooth audio devices until I uninstalled the app. After the third time I left it uninstalled.
The app had problems before but after the recent update things are even worse. The app integration with my normal phone app is causing more trouble than anything. Change it back
Regular issues with the app not functioning properly. It's not user friendly and can't be used in conjunction with the switchboard.
Total POS, never works right, constantly closes on it's own, calls constantly fail to go through. Needs some serious improvements.
No way to change the default ring and I am hard of hearing so I can't hear the ring at all most of the time. Useless app.
Says a call is in progress and can't use the microphone but no call is in progress... Even checked permissions and rebooted the phone...
Completely unresponsive on a pixel with pie. No interactions work at all. 100% a waste of space.
qr-only config is stupid, no way for a user to reset their extension themselves? also the app refuses to work at all without access to storage. why the heck does a voip app need to access my files?
I can't believe Sangoma isn't fixing this crappy software, I have to use the Grandstream app to connect to my Digium PBX because this app is totally UNRELIABLE ! They should do a complete rewrite of the app and full QA on the development.
Needs work. I reallly like the Digium Switchvox appliance & software. This app however, doesn't measure up to the rest of the Digium product. Please Dev's...fix it!
Not a single positive review??? What in the world is wrong with this app?? Why even bother having it in the play store? I'm not downloading some 1 star app to my users devices much less my own, unacceptable. A Digium rep should respond with some details about why this app is getting 75% or more 1 star ratings.
Pretty basic and doesn't play nice with Google voice. No queue or parking lot access.
One would think that after paying $1500 a year for this service, it would be at least relatively easy to setup by yourself... ha...hahahaha no.
Worst softphone app I've ever seen. It requires phone app permissions, which then breaks normal calling. Immediately uninstalled, total garbage.
I had to go into settings and change the SIP Transport from TCP to UDP. After that, it worked.
Literally just a gray screen when you launch the app. Have tried using multiple phones and multiple Android versions (10 & 11) and it's the same result. I'll get a notification to open the same app I've just opened, that's a gray screen mind you, to 'enable it as a calling account' but there's obviously no way to do so. Miss my workplace's former phone system that had a proper working softphone. I'm now attached to my desk phone and it's quite a detriment to my personal and worklife.
