Sword Of Xolan

This is a good, straightforward platformer I played a few years ago. It's main flaw is that it doesn't do anything different, it very much sticks to the basic formula of the SNES platformer and does it pretty well. Now, at a higher price point it would be a little underwhelming but at 79¢ for removing the ads it's a pretty good deal as long as you don't expect too much of it.

This is really a great game. Ads only appear between stages or retries, and are easily bypassable (only 5-second waiting needed). The stage design is challenging but not frustrating. The difficulty curve is perfect. And most importantly, the on screen control are actually very nice! All in all, it's a solid platformer.

It is a great game kinda difficult but i think it adds to the challenge there isn't much after you beat the final boss exept to try to complete all the achiements complete the challenge timed stages try to find all the people in the cages or all the chests or get as many coins as you can i trying to get to 1 million i have 100k but it is still fun and i would recomend it

Solid platformer, awesome controls, music, graphics and lots of fun. However, unable to sync progress and stats between Android phone and Nvidia shield even with Google play games enabled. :(

Hi there devs. I can say after a long time I finally found a good game. The levels are well designed and you can feel the difficulty increasing with every level. It's perfect game who loves to play adventure games. I see many complaining about the enemies AI but I don't think there is need for any changes. Though you can improve the controls. The character's speech makes the game more enjoyable. Thanks devs, completed the game.

This game is pretty dope looking and it is a bit of a challenge. I'm finding the Boss Beethor pretty difficult at the end of Act 1. The control set up are difficult for my large fingers and I keep accidentally hitting ones I dont mean too and it kills me and having to start at the beginning of the level can be a chore. I think if the developers spread out the on screen controls a bit more it would be much much better! Overall a sick old school banger and I like it.

I've gone through the first act and so far I've been enjoying the game. The controls are basic and easy to use, I saw some other reviews saying they were glitchy but I haven't had any problems. The gameplay is smooth & overall an easy game. I would like if their was checkpoints, after you die you have to start the level all over again, so with checkpoints it would make it less stressful but then again, the game is still do-able without them. This game is one that I would recommend.

This is a great game - the controls respond the way you want, it has wonderful art, and the difficulty ranges from easy to medium hard. My only problem is the devaluation of the coins you gain ingame. This means that after unlocking the 6 items in the store, the coins are basically useless. While it's not possible to have endless items to buy, it would be nice to for example, unlock 🔓 a new item when you complete the game. Other than that, I definitely recommend it.

Sword of Xolan is a fantastic little platformer! It's very refreshing to see such a polished platformer that doesn't rely on microtransactions to keep players interested. It's clear that the developers put a lot of effort into this game. The controls are tight, there are a range of interesting monsters to defeat and the boss battles are fun and challenging. The gameplay is balanced well and every time I finished a level I felt as if I had accomplished a great feat. Beautiful!!! <3

it is a very good game. I really like it but you should've made ar least 5 acts or more. you should even add a bonus. In my opinion, I don't think 3 acts isn't enough. People may get bored with it easily. I also like how the difficulty increases because in games like mario, the difficulty is always easy even in the final world so very good! overall I like the game. Thank you for making it :)

A very simple but effectively fun platformer that worth to play. The levels are well designed and quite challenging at the times and varieties of enemies just adding a fun factor to the game. The sound effect are well done, it gives u a satisfying feel everytime u smash enemies or breakable objects. The music is okay and story is simply mediocre, but I wouldn't say that it's bad. I would gladly pay some bucks to remove ads and give support to the developer, but after I beat all the achievements.

I 100% the game and every achievement including the speed run one and I loved it. If you want to know what the OG games felt like, this is it Sometimes glitchy, but the gameplays is so tight and well crafted that even the ads you get every level don't feel annoying. The game has a steep learning curve if you are not acustomed to old platformers, if you are experienced the game is farely forgiving, but it doesnt punish you randomly or disregard your mistakes. Great art syle, a Nostalgia Hit.

I love this game but the controls are indeed terrible. Perhaps the controls were some ones pet project and you spent too much time on this to let it go but cut your losses guys. This game would score 4.8 easy if your controls gets redone. I am sure that for people with your skills this would be no feat. Implement a d-pad even if "up" does nothing. Because there is no tactile feedback from the screen you cant feel the TINY buttons so I think a large area movement interface is the best strategy.

Really enjoyable game. The graphics and gameplay have had a good bit of work done to them and it shows as the game reminds you of those 80's classic arcade games. One issue I do have however is the controls need some work. Sometimes you'll press them and there's just no response (especially if you're trying to perform a combo of multiple button pressing one after the other)

This is a little gem of a game. Reminds me of games of old on Amstrad/Commodore/Spectrum etc. Controls were easy to manage. Gameplay great. Enemies in each act get progressively harder but you get a good lean into each act so it's not too hard to move on but also not too easy the further along the story you go. Ads are non-intrisive showing after a level but rarely an additional longer than 5 secs. Great hgame and I hope there will be more in this series.

I'm only 2 levels in and I like the game very much already. The controls are perfect - the way the character responds to it is accurate (unlike one game I played before where I feel like I can't control the character well). I just wish the character design is a bit more chibi or kawaii but that's a matter of personal taste. I recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a good action adventure platformer game.

A great, classic "ghouls and goblins" style side scroller whose controls work great on my S10. Simple but still fun, and does contain ads, but they are skippable which is way less annoying than what you see in other games. They get HUGE credit in my book for not doing pay-to-win and for not forcing people to watch ads we don't wanna see/have seen a thousand times already anyway. The game has a decent amount of play time, but doesn't last forever. Well worth a playthrough!

Really nice game, funny voiceover, simple and interesting.

If you turn off mobile data then this is one of the best side scrolling game out there. The Levels are well designed. Enemies are challenging sometimes. Nothinh feels repetitive at all. My only problem is less abilities. All we have is a projectile fireball. If you ever make Sequel of some sort. Add some Skill tree type thing. It doesn't has to be Pc Level. Just keep it simple as this one.

This is genuinely one of ghe best game I've played in very long time, the gameplay is so smooth, one can feel the difficulty as the levels progress, very interesting game everyone should give this game a try.
