Performance issues and crashes to the point of being unusable. Looks like it hasn't been tested at all. Few second freeze after adding a favorite, this is the basic use case! Still useful but created as an afterthought instead of integral part of conference.
The user experience is abysmal & frustrating. App would not let you create an acct, nor rsvp, kept resetting the favorite list after logout, AND worked for only 5 days B/4 repeatedly crashing after any 2 clicks. Map function was woefully inaccurate. No explanation in the app nor SXSW website on how to view any of the online sessions, events, or screenings. This app needs to be revamped from the ground up...
The current version of the app, like others have echoed, is completely unusable. Trying to navigate my schedule has been a nightmare as the app constantly freezes, crashes, or restarts. The festival begins today and these bugs have still not been resolved
Lagging and bugs before SXSW even starts. The app is already struggling to do basic tasks like opening the schedule. It continues to believe that on one page I am logged in but on another page I am not. I'm having a hard time believing it will work during the week long event
App was working ok up until today and now it freezes every time I re-open it. I had created a schedule of events for myself and now I cannot get in to see it... festival starts in 2 days. Please fix this!!!!!!
Horrible experience. Keeps freezing just scrolling the events, and everytime you restart you have to wait and look at the SAME ad. Fix quickly before the event, this is an embarrassment.
So hard to use. Gives me blank pages. Doesn't list acts that I know are playing, so it makes it hard to schedule. Can't pull up artists by genre. Great festival, terrible app.
This app is HORRIBLE. It does not sync, it tells me I'm not logged in and it's not trustworthy. SXSW, can you not do any better than this?
Constantly freezes and crashes. Have had yo reinstall twice. Very frustrating to use.
Worst app ever I want to see the schedule and the only think it does is to open the showtime app to start free trial. Really!
Crashes alot, and now I can no longer login into the app, keeps saying bad email or password even though I can login on the web browser
I can't login at all which makes the app pointless. I can login in the website fine, just not the app.
Keeps shutting down. No persistence. Tells me it failed to login over and over. No shuttle info.
Very slow, lag time between actions, some features don't work, frustrating
the ux on the layout of event schedules, where the times of sessions are listed, is confusing and caused me to miss several sessions. services crashing and starting in a loop, killing battery while phone asleep. suspicious data usage in background. poor handling on data base management leading to corruption. poor handling of ui thread, causung app to get blocked out constantly, partucularly when redownloading the several megabytes database. which it seems tk do every time i open the app.
App keeps freezing, crashing and one stage flatnout refused to show me the schedule for the day. Its so bad I ended up giving up on it altogether and using the paper programmes they gave out at tbe convention center. I expected more from sxsw.
Can't login to the app. Consistently errors on login making it useless.

Apps is good when it works. As others have said, it doesn't work often.

The ads are very distracting
Doesn't appear to be pulling any of my favorites or saved events from the sxsw social web. ☹️ App times out frequently, won't stay logged in, esp during high traffic times on the ground in austin (which ironically is when you need it most!). It randomly freezes or won't load my schedule or anything..such a bad app! Embarrassing that a technology festival has such a terrible digital experience! 🤦♀️
