It started working after some Android updates. Very usable app. I have started flying again on a daily basis because the app works with the latest software!! Old review: thought this was an excelent app for an entry level drone experience. I used it quite often for a few months. I recently upgraded my phone and installed the app. The phone is not actually working with the drone. I am kind of stumped of course but will most likely use my old phone with drone for now because I can cloud the photos.
App is nice for my x300, was wondering what type of VR headset would be compatible with this app... the whole FPV/VR is new to me.
its a very good app and it is verg easy to use I likd it very much . But one feature I dont like about this app is that if you want to control the drone with your phone then the remote disconnectes . And again if you want to control it with the remote you have to disconnect the mobile
Works, ok. first time around i couldnt figure anything out. and no picture. not very intuative. but thanks to Darren Z it all seems to be working now. from phone app at least haven't tried from controller yet. warching drone and keeping fingers in the right spot on phone screen is rpetry tricky.
Purchased the Sky Phantom D1650WH, the drone keeps drifting fast backward regardless of calibration as per instructions. Installed the SYMA FLY app but it doesn't work after connected to the drone via wifi, no video and no control, etc.. It is going back to the store for refund. I wasted about an hour and a half trying to see what I did wrong or something. The product is NO GOOD.
Like the drone but not the app. Ive had the 25 pro since December and fly it often. This is the longest stretch of time I've maintained ownership of a drone without it flying away on its own. It holds up in Minnesota light windy days. So anywhere else it should be fine during a hurricane. But this app is trash. Im unable to control the drone with it. I can make it circle above me with this trash app and take video/images. Find a different drone if you want to fully enjoy it

I have put the camera in an other drone and it seems to works though It is a bit blurry
Great app. Thank you. One question.....how to use the " record sound via phone " option under the settings. The gear symbol in the upper right corner is the settings option.
samsung note 8 connected but still saying unconnected.. ..it was working fine before. but now its connected to samsung note8 wifi but still shows not connected. it seems to be some android version connectivity issue with the drone app.
the interface is nice but lots of function in it not working. for example i cannot perform follow me mode, orbiting, flight plan etc. is it all the functions really there for my syma x80 pro as mention in the syma website and on the box or, it just a lie to attract people to buy the drone. i still cannot accept the quality of the image produce from the camera. syma, please do something.
Old version works new doesn't work at all since the update it keeps saying no connection or internet not available I have the old version on an old phone and it works fine fpv works great but the update has stopped it connecting I have the sky phantom and it was a brilliant drone when the app works I was going to upgrade to the x30 but I'm not sure now with these app issues
[(Update) My previous post was made 7/7/20 and all is the same. I hear you loud and clear SYMA. I'll upgrade to another company. It was fun. ] ..My phone updated. Now the camera on the drone won't sync with my phone even though all of the parts still move and work properly. Is there any update to the app coming soon to help remedy this situation? I still enjoy flying the drone but I would much prefer if I still could use the FPV camera. I'll change my rating back whenever an update is made.
No mode 1 support. i think it would be easy to add a toggle switch or option to allow mode 1....a bit disappointed.
Trash app, first of all this app does not work whenever I tap start it would show a grey screen with a controller, it may work but there 5% chance of that and when it does it will have a mind of its own by flying the drone by itself and then loosing it, FIX THIS NOW
I give 3 star because it only can connect to my camera (I mean drone camera to phone) when i turn off my data. When I turn on my data camera disconnect. It's GPS can work without internet connection? Please SYMA update and upgrade your application. FYI I'm using Syma X8 pro.
Doesnt work on pixel4 running Android 10. No way of capturing video or photos. Looking at having to sell the drone unless an update is forthcoming.
needs a fix just got the wifi fpv drone k8 wh can't control anything or see with my moto play z2 tried it with my wife's iPhone and everything works. i would love to use my phone !!! in my list of drones its missing the "D1650WH" its the one that works on my wife's iPhone
Very nice app. However, the menu on the right with VR options and flight pattern is not working on the latest android update
drone flew away for no reason. i tried to land it but the drone lost control and just went full power into the sky. it kept flying up till it was a spec on the horizon. D NOT BUY THERE DRONS. RIP OFF.
This app would not control the drone or work the camera. This is the app specified in the user manual. I am not impressed, but that's my opinion.
This app is awful it wants to connect to things it shouldn't. Will give it 5 stars when they update and fix the permissions. Very dissapointed.
Why in setting can be set 100m for flying height, but actual only 40m. And flight record is very not accurate.
Great App but developers must get a proper English language translation!! Instructions Incredibly poor but for the price I'd buy again. Better manual I would rate 5 stars
My drone lost connection to my controller and flew off into the sky. Im very dissapointed with the quality of these drones. I spent 40 dollars on my drone and it lasted 3 days before flying off when it lost connection. I WANT MY MONEY BACK
Does not work with android 9.x. App says not connected, even when connected to drone wifi. Ridiculous unneeded permissions.
I do what the instructions say. The Drone is not on the list. WiFi or WiFi direct. None of them work. It might be my Drone. It's old. It's SYMA 06A17. it has a camera on it.
Not sure how to rate an app that literally just lets me view my drones camera. But anyway, this is a good all that does it's job. Although!! The controls are not that good, they have a delay if about 1.4 seconds and if I was flying my drone in an area where I need constant control over it, I would not recommend using the in-app flight controls
