When I first downloaded this app for Android it was buggy and was constantly having to be closed and reopened. I updated it recently, and now I'm unable to search for my school to connect to their page. I reinstalled and running into the same issue. However, I can log into my school's page through a web browser so i know the problem is with the app. The app wasnt great before, but now has been rendered completely useless (at least for Android) by the newest update.
I hate writing one star reviews, but this app will not work on my phone, even after reinstalling the app on my phone. It constantly says "oops, your seem to be offline. We couldn't connect to the internet" even though I am connected to both cell service and wifi. Edit: Originally this was a one star review but after a few more patches the app finally works on my phone, my update review is the interface is a bit cluttered but otherwise is simple and easy to use. Thanks for patching the app!
App randomly refreshes and asks about my preferences, location, etc. I have to input information and repeat any rejections that were made previous to the refresh; although I do enjoy the feature of swiping right for employers I have an interest in and swiping left for those I wouldn't consider. Also, many posts that are 30+ days old are mixed with newer posts. A sort or filter function may be helpful for searches (having the app default to newest posts on top of the list would be most useful).
I can never stay logged in. The app is even opening as a browser now on my phone and is still prompting me to download the app. So what did I download before?
Great app! University uses it to place students! So easy to use!
Was a wonderful app but it logged me out this school year and hasn't allowed me to log back in with my school credentials, various errors appear, especially saying my email and password are incorrect (when they're not) and forcing itself into a loop when I try log in info that ISNT correct (confirming that I know my password). Waited and waited for an update? Anything? But its been since spring 2021 since I've had it work right. Disappointing.
I originally gave this app 1 star for being unreliable and very unstable, but since then there have been improvements to the system. However there is still room for improvement. For a better experience and less of a headache just use the the desktop version. It's more reliable.
This app will be good for getting a job after I graduate, or a summer internship. As a freshman looking for a part time job between classes however it fails. There is no way to sort out jobs that would work with your school schedule, but I would expect that for an app based around colleges. Also like 70% of the postings are just on campus jobs and work study so there is also that.
I can't apply to jobs through the app because when the employer requires attached documents, Symplicity claims I haven't attached any even though I had. My university uses this as a tool for finding post education employment and internship opportunities.
The app never works. I click on a potential job and it just goes to a page saying "Oh snap, we can't find it". I haven't been able to look at single job and its description.
Simple to use. Connects with PSU seamlessly and I have had zero problems setting up alerts and applying for internships. Also a lot of job offers on here too.
This application has never worked for me and does not let me select the school when logging in. So I can't proceed to the next step. I see at least one other person had a similar issue. I'm using this on an android phone.
App was not working, y'all fixed it, now with this new update it's not working again. I can't find my school even though i know it's using y'all's app. Edit: 10/7/19 Updated to 5 stars, app is working again. Great app. Thanks for responding.
This app is very clear and precise about job openings. There is a lot of different options to choose from and there is new job post every other day, I love this app and hope to find a job soon.
It's one of the poorest developed apps I have ever seen. Zero QA, just bugs. I have instructed my HR to dismiss any candidate who ever worked in Symplicity. I'm looking only for quality candidates who knows programming.
User-friendly. A great tool for searching & applying for current jobs. Especially helpful with total job descriptions, salary, and employer info
The app has been broken for a month and will no longer log me in or allow me to log in I still get notifications from my school, but when I click on it, I get asked what school I go to. No schools even pop up anymore.
Nice interface, very easy to navigate, apply to jobs, search for jobs, upload resume, etc.
Can't connect with the app. Saying I'm not connected, even though I have full bars either with cellular or wifi.
Can't connectz says to check connection and try again. I did, connection is fine. Using an Android Samsund S7 Edge. Cell and wifi are fine.
Forced to update and also experiencing blinking on a blank page. Normally seems very good although I'm new to the app.
Doesn't worse it, too many bugs and backdoors which makes it very dangerous for your device security. Do yourself a favor and uninstall it immediately
The latest update rendered the app useless for me as it no longer recognizes my school. I logged in online and my school was recognized but the app doesn't recognize my school.
The app doesn't work at all. Just after launching it is not able to find my location and/or connect to the internet.
2 stars since it works sometimes, super choppy and if ya sign out its gg in using it normally. Not their fault in trying to make an app for an already choppy website Edit to 1 star. Could not find a support number
i installed it, uninstalled it and reinstalled it trying to figure out why my keyboard doesn't pop up while attempting to enter information in. A one star rating is generous.
It's saying internet connection error immediately when I open the app. Doesn't work. Fixed: disabled adblock
Signs me out consistantly. Can't press any back button or am signed out. Have to log in over and over to look for internship programs.
Functions well enough but it could use more features. EDIT: Now when I try to apply to jobs, a message pops up saying there are technical issues preventing me from submitting the resume I have on file. This is a severe problem that needs to be fixed immediately. The app also logs me out if I don't use it for a few days. I updated the review from 🌟 to 🌟 🌟 because they addressed one of my previous issues with the app.
