Sync for reddit (Dev)

I thought I left a review years ago. Anyways, here goes: I've used a ton of reddit client apps. Almost all of them. I like parts from each and every one of them. However, without fail, sync has remained installed as the others come and go. The polish, responsiveness, customizability, and sheer usability is unmatched even to this day. A timeless reddit client. Stay incredible.

I like the new update with one caveat. It seems that gifs no longer autoplay unless they are in the very top of the screen. I liked the ability to see gifs going without having to drag them to the top. Edit for the response: Awesome! Bravo on making a large update like this and having most of the improvements actually be real improvements. It's really difficult to make a transition happen so smoothly.

pretty good. would give five stars except when i press the back button it doesn't always take me to my original position on the front page and i have to rescroll, through which is a pain when it happens too often. this wasnt an issue in the unpaid version. other than that, great!! worth the money. Edit: developer updated so even if you press the back button or accidentally click out of comments it saves your place! 5 stars!

I've got Dev and Beta, mostly because I really appreciate the efforts put in by the developer. But also because the new setup looks great in my opinion. This app has been developed for quite a while. The developer took a long hiatus because of a few crazy people. Glad to know he's back, and just as involved as before. I really couldn't recommend Sync enough.

Fantastic continuation of my favorite Reddit browser! There are a few features I'd like to see implemented but so far it is at least on par with the competition. I think given time Sync will for sure be the go-to reddit app once again.

I actually think this is a 5 star app, will update back to 5 when dev reply to this question: is it possible to enable tablet mode on a foldable ONLY when it's unfolded, and return to default mode when folded? Currently, it's one or the other, and I don't want tablet mode when viewing on the smaller screen. Great work on v22! Ok fine 5 stars it is lol

The quality had gone down hill and a recent change removed all other views from the dev but the dev is the only version to have a finger print unlock. Wish that either biometric unlock was added to all version or that views weren't removed from the dev version while testing other ones. The new views are huge and takes to much scrolling to get any meaningful amount of data.

Great experience with the old version, really liking the new Material You look. Aside from some videos not loading (could be server-side) it's been rock solid. Thank you!

So far so good. I like the swipe left options for upvote, save or hide or whatever you set it too, the new layout is very smooth and good to look at. Give it a go if you like add free reddit browsing.

Design error with bottom toolbar text clipped on my rounded corners - flat screen. No subreddit icons so plenty of needless text/reading. The humour/character the icons bring to subs is lost too. Edit: extra star for fixing clipped text. Will be 5 when finished with subreddit/user icons. Edit: Icons finally implemented. As promised, rating increased to 5. Well done.

I've been using the normal pro version for years and the dev version is great. Hands down the best Reddit app. I wish you had an iOS app. I will miss this app once I finally switch to iOS.

Been using Reddit pro for years... Didn't realize I was always using the free version of the app. I downloaded Dev and paid for it. This app is beautiful. 5/1/2022 - It's only getting better

I'll admit I was frustrated with the previous update, the dev responded immediately and set things right. However I really appreciate the dev still working on this version for further improvements. Happy to buy the dev version to continue supporting efforts for a new update to keep sync alive as it's easily the best reddit app out there.

Decent app. Good UI. Reminds me of Apollo for iOS. All in all I think it's worth the money and support.

I tried to hold back purchasing the dev version of the app. But once the dev announced tablet support... I couldn't resist the urge to try it. Kudos to the dev! This is BEST Twitter client for Fold users... no client out does better utilizing the screen real estate!

The only mobile app I've ever paid for, worth every penny. Responsive devs and just plain good software, enough said.

Love the changes to v22. It looks phenomenal and the updates are constant. Dev is very responsive and helpful. I can definitely say this is the best reddit client to me on Android.

Been a very long time fan of Sync. Like the latest update, but now it is missing the "expand long text post" function. Hoping this makes a comeback soon.

I have always loved this app but please stop changing random stuff in such annoying ways. The titles are now no longer underneath but on top? Why? I was so used to it and there seems to be no way to change it back. Will never understand UI changes of this nature. Edit: Dev got back to me in <30 min, color me impressed. Will take my gripes to the subreddit :D

Great app but with the recent update. Changing the view from the default to anything else crashes it. Update: Dev fixed the issue promptly. Thanks!

Best Android Reddit App by far. Tons of customization and an all around smooth and well designed experience. Fair price, worth every penny!

I've tried a few different reddit clients, but always come back to this. Extremely slick UX. The Dev version means you get the latest changes right away, so worth the modest outlay in my opinion.

Well, it's a dev version so it might occasionally be buggy. Developer responds quickly tho. And it's nice to try new features. I'm liking the new look too, and I like the random theme feature and the swipey upvote thing.

This dev is the best. Any time I think of any potential issue, it's fixed before I can even report it. Love each redesign this app has gone through. Thank you.

Best reddit client ever. I can't live without it. Dev is amazing, fixes bugs and adds new features everyday.

Initially this app was so good and yes i know what I paid for, now it's a complete mess, Garbage.. Still unbelievable how could they ruin such a perfect app what it used to be.. There is a list of things you guys have changed in these few days, first - view of app, Second- theming is totally ruined now, third - why you guys changed this app to upside down, why it is so different than what it used to be few days back, believe me it really annoy us that how over night this app has changed
