I used this app for years. It used to be a decent way to keep up with local news, weather, and sports, interspersed with an acceptable number of not-too-intrusive ads. Lately, in addition to the ads, it pushes more and more frequently to pay for a subscription until you can't ever get beyond the new pay wall to see a single article. I deleted the app. The newspaper's sales/marketing management has become so obnoxious I am unsubscribing from the delivered hardcopy version too, after 30 years.

Crashes quite a bit, when you click on pictures it brings you to random other pictures needs work update: No i do not want a subscription for an app that doesnt load full articles, constantly crashes, and in general just doesnt work. you have had the same problems for over a year, and now ask to subscribe every few articles. uninstall.

When I try to open the app, a box pops up stating I have to click upgrade in order to continue. Tapping upgrade brings me to this screen where my only options are open or uninstall. Nowhere does it give me the option to upgrade. I'm paying for a very expensive Sunday paper🤯🤬🤬🤬

Every time I open a news story a pop up comes up to try to get me to pay for a subscription. I should be able to tell it no once and be done with it. The obituaries won't laod up anymore. Very frustrating. I'm done. Deleted. Going to CNY Central. I'll have to find obituaries somewhere else.

The worst app. It asks me to subscribe every time I open it and has a bunch of annoying pop ups. Formatting issues. Half of the articles are impossible to read. Nevermind the obvious political bias.

I pay for the Sunday paper and get access to this application included. Since last weekend the text is all one big black mass. I cannot read a single word. Nowhere on the app is there support or FAQ's. I do not have this problem with any other app or website.

used go be my go to for finding what was going on in my hometown since I moved away 11 yrs ago but now you cant read anything without a subscription being offered. it's too bad. website is the same way which is unfortunate cause there used to be some good content. restuarant reviews. theater reviews. retail info I liked to read but now the app is getting deleted and replaced with somethin else. dont ask people to pay for something they shouldn't have to

have used this app for years. Now everytime I try to open wants me to sign in or pay $19.99 month for a digital subscription. ???? why now been free for years. they should have notified users. I uninstalled the app and have installed wixt which is free.

App brings up a warning when I try to open it that it has to be updated. When I click on update, it just flips back to the warning box that it needs to be updated

Not going to lie. this was a good app. I got my news from here daily. but now they are pushing their subscription. I cant even load an article anymore without it asking me to sign up. I'll take my traffic to a different site.

I am a paid subscriber to the paper..every few days I have to uninstall and reinstall the app because it says I must buy it..called the Post Standard was transferred to dept that was supposed to be able to help me.. woman I got knew NOTHING about what to do and even addmitted it. poor customer service sad that this app is so bad

making me pay for local news, after I've had this app for several years. Time to uninstall and look for an app that I can actually use to get local news without having to pay for it since news is supposed to be free to the people

not paying for it. you raised prices on print and cut back days you actually printed. now u want to charge for digital print but have ads too.

App was much improved but latest update requires me to keep signing in repeatedly to view subscriber content. They have exchanged one problem for another.

I have tried 3 times to read the news and a pop-up says I need to upgrade so I tried and it says I'm up to date so I deleted and reinstalled it and the pop-up still shows up. Might just as well leave it off my phone .

old news along with the newspaper. watch the news and download one the news stations app it's free and updated. can't read any articles. people are paying for nothing

App is telling me it will not work without an update, bit when I go to update, Google doesn't have it with my other apps that need updating.

Used to be good. Now, unless you want to waste 9.99 a month for a subscription, your unable to actually read the news stories.

Cannot open the app on my phone. Says I need to upgrade in the Google app store. Yet, there is no option to do that!

This app has gone to hell. The app is free but you have to subscribe to the site for 19.95 month.... BS, not worth when there are other free news sources out there!
