SystemPanel App / Task Manager

SystemPanel integrates a task manager, app manager (installer/uninstaller with multi-version APK archival), and system monitor. Solve your battery life problem by enabling the background monitoring service to record long-term CPU usage by individual apps.SystemPanel includes the following features:Task Manager: The task manager shows what applications are currently loaded into memory and/or running on a device, including current CPU and memory utilization for each. The task manager provides the ability to kill offending applications, and includes an emergency "end all" widget to handle extreme scenarios.System Monitor: The system monitor can be enabled to record device usage history over a period of time (up to one week), such that you can determine what applications and usage patterns have the greatest impact on battery life. This feature is commonly used to help track down which applications are having major negative effects on battery life. The system monitor records CPU usage for each process, overall CPU usage, display usage, battery level, and battery charging status.Installer: The installer enables you to install and uninstall applications quickly and conveniently. It can archive multiple versions of applications, such that you can backup your apps before an update and revert back to older versions afterward. This is useful in the not uncommon event the updated item is buggy or otherwise undesirable. Additionally, the Installer is designed to work much more efficiently than the standard Android application manager, and does not suffer the frustrating lag issues found in the default Android item when browsing through a large number of installed apps.Device Information: The device information screens show detailed information about your Android device, including storage, capabilities, network state, and OS build information.-
- Frequently Asked Questions --Why does it require the ______ permission?
- SystemPanel does require a fair number of permissions in order to be able to perform all of its duties. This product DOES NOT send ANY information from your device over the Internet to ANYONE. It requires the "Internet access" and "telephony/read phone state" permissions only to monitor and display the device's network connectivity state. A full description of why each permission is required can be found in the SystemPanel FAQ on our web site.Does SystemPanel consume battery?
- The only component of SystemPanel which runs in the background is the "System Monitor" feature. This feature must be enabled by the user (by default, SystemPanel runs nothing in the background). When enabled, the System Monitor feature will record data about which applications are consuming the battery every 15 minutes. All told, this feature will use approximately one minute of CPU / battery time per day of operation. When this feature is not enabled, SystemPanel will not run in the background in any capacity.Does SystemPanel automatically kill tasks in the background?
- No, SystemPanel is not an automatic task killer. It has been well-established (by the Android documentation and direct communication with the Android engineers) that randomly or periodically terminating arbitrary tasks in the interest of saving memory will NOT yield a benefit in performance or battery life. The only benefit you will see from an automatic task killer is if it happens to terminate misbehaving apps. SystemPanel provides a better solution to this problem by showing you which apps are consuming CPU in the background (over time) with the "System Monitor" feature. It is then recommended that such applications be reconfigured or uninstalled (or perhaps corrected by filing a bug with the offending application's author).A much more extensive FAQ is available on our web site. Please visit our web site at http://android.nextapp.com for more information, including a complete screenshot tour of the product.

How the hell do you not have original SystemPanel licenses not unlock SystemPanel 2? Super greedy of you. As someone who has purchased all of your software I am disgusted and I will use my app cracking knowledge to ensure that your app is distributed and freely available. As a fellow dev you are a disgusting creature and you will get no more money from me sir and I will actively see that you get no money from as many people as I can provide a cracked version. You are a joke beyond words.

This is horrible ..The app was amazing. Had always been great just enough animations and color with very useful features. BUT NOW THEY UPGRADE THE APP RENAMING TO SYSTEM PANEL 2...Adding a 2 didn't change the app it updated it..That's why we pay..to grow with the app..You should have changed the name and made a new app if you are charging again..that's my 3 star. I give credit to the dev. Not the business sense.

Needs more flexibility in the graph ranges and perhaps adjustment of the measuring interval. Some UI updates would be nice too including a white system tray icon. I have a Galaxy S5 and I use this app mainly to troubleshoot battery drain.

Great app. use it mainly to clesr memory which android is a total failure at doing. Good sys info too

I paid for this app and you abandone it for a revamped version , now am I supposed to pay twice . I think the whole thing is underhanded you should at least resolve this with the people who have already paid .

Simple, clean, and worth paying for. Though it'd have been nice if they kept developing this instead of moving onto System Panel 2. If you're on Nougat or later, need root access to see the apps and processes.

Bate and Switch! Developers abandoned App, renamed it, and now expect that I am stupid enough to pay again. "This is Version 2 not Version 1,it's a completely new App, it actually works.

So is this app now no good following the latest android version? Can't close any apps at all now because of Google's stupid rules!!

Great app. I've been using it for years

What did I just pay for? App does nothing now and was replaced by system panel 2... which is not this app... And has ads...

I've used this app for years, install to every device. So easy to quickly see what is going on when you have problems or if optimising your app arsenal. I most use it for seeing how my resources are being used and which apps I can be rid of when they are too greedy for their own usefulness, especially when running at boot and staying resident in memory when they should not need to.

This was the go-to app for system resource management, but I guess the developers are out to lunch. No updates in over a year, no replies to Google Play reviews/ratings. Makes me wish I didn't pay for it if they have no intention on keeping up with the evolution of Android. Doesn't work well with android 5.1.1 and higher.

on my Nvidia Shield Tablet running 5.1.1. Still working on my Moto X 2013, but I've got a System Update waiting to be installed & doubt it will work after I install that. Was good while it lasted. My previous review was using an HTC Evo (the original with WiMax on Sprint o_O).

I've used this app since my nexus one and it's the one and only app that shows my usage and each app CPU usage, including system CPU usage. I take note specifically of idle periods and usually my CPU hovers below 0.5% total. Marshmallow seems to no longer show the cached apps in the main view, hope that comes back or gets added soon (hope its not an OS limitation with 6.0). This app is near perfect.

Used to be great. Even if it did work now, I'm not sure it would provide anything that Android didn't provide natively these days. I'm guessing newer security settings in Android mean that this app can no longer see what's going on... Or it simply hasn't been updated to work with new versions. In any case, it's broken now. If there's a way to flag abandoned/broken apps, this one should get it.

I'm a paid user. I wish it could have a finer resolution plot interval for CPU history of 30 minutes increment instead of just 2, 8 hours then 1 day. Having a finer interval will help to troubleshoot/spot power drain apps easier.

I just installed 5.1.1 on my phone and now System Panel only shows itself running. I can't look at how any other apps or system software is using my phone's resources. Of course, I can look at battery, network, CPU and storage info, but nothing else. Is that all this app can offer now? Sent developer e-mail and received no response.

I've been using this since Eclair on my Nexus 1. Many times it has helped me identify battery drain problems. It's too bad that it's been abandoned.

This used to be one of the first apps to be installed on my phone. I have purchased most of your apps. But this one needs a UI refresh. Those big icons are hideous (refresh, end all etc)

Jim. B. Nov 1, 2015

It used to be really good, but on my new Lollipop phone it only shows itself running, so not very useful anymore.

Sus. K. Jan 7, 2016

This app is very good and helpful. It was working superbly on my SGS4 but not working on my Note4 running nameless V5 RoM. Any help.

This is/was a great app for Android before LMY48I. I hope workarounds or "rooted only" features can restore the functionality of pre-LMY48I.
