im sorry, but how bad can an app be?? i opened this app on my phone; the only thing i can do is mirror pictures and videos; if that would function well, which isnt really the case, the app would be a little more useful. right now, this app is pretty much trash wouldnt recommend. :(

So bugged, not sure why this app exists..non functional by all means. Buttons don't work, can't connect. First and last time using TCL.

A pice of junk. Full of ads. TCL products are junk. Chromecast built in is laggy, TV DOSEN'T RESPOND FAST, overall a bad chinese experience. Why did the app need acces to my media files? This is a chinese fugaze. 0 stars for this china junk

I don't understand how consistently broken this app is. It's absolutely baffling! No word from the company, no updates to properly fix the "app can't find the tv" problem. Why have two of the same app when both are broken to begin with? Oh, it's definitely because they can't accept the 3.9 average rating of the previous app so they made this instead. Still ridiculous. Not worth your trouble at any point. Just buy another brand of TV! It's easier than this problematic cesspool of inconsistency.

Great way to get frustrated. Open the app and you are forced to wait and watch adds. I guess this is what you get for buying a cheap TV.

Double video ads on launch. How can this be the official software for your tvs when the app is this bad to use?

Update: Mirroring now works. However, it took going into the T-Cast app on the TV and somehow finding the switch to turn on screencasting. It isn't obvious how to get there. Upgraded to three stars, not more until the TV app makes T-Cast easier to use. Mirroring is completely broken. When I go to mirroring, it says it either can't connect to the TV or it doesn't even show it as a device. But I get notification on the TV screen that I am connected and I can cast videos and photos from my phone and control with the on-phone remote. So it is connecting. It appears that this is a problem with the TV as no mirroring app works anymore with it. This really needs to be fixed, I can't recommend this TV, which I was formerly very enthusiastic about, to anyone. It did work when I first got the TV, for a few months, but then just stopped.

Always see notification on tv device connected to tv every 30 second first i think tv issue but after uninstalling this app no notification coming

Overall very good app and works fine. The only improvement needed is to switch the tv back on with the app. And also the keyboard on the phone does not work for instance, if you want to search anything on Netflix or google. It takes ages to write one word with those up/down keys. Please look into this matter as well.

Garbage, never initiates connection to WiFi or tv. Just says "connecting to WiFi" but nothing happens and I can't select any options. I have the eero mesh WiFi system so I'm wondering if that's the issue. Certain devices have trouble connecting since the eero merges both 2.4 and 5g bands with one SSID. Seems like in 2020 this should be a known technology to keep in mind, and none of my devices have an issue finding and connecting to my network, windows PC, Macs, iPads, Android phones, etc.

Tested on a 2018 TCL SmartTV(not Android). Cannot submit searches in TV apps such as Youtube or Netflix. I can type in text on the phone, but text does not get sent to the TV. I'm not trying to cast, I'm trying to run text searches on the apps running on the TV operating system. The point of the app is to enable quick searches, so it's a deal breaker if the functionality is not working.

I've tried my best to connect it to my TCL TV and yet I see a big QR code saying, scan this. Same WiFi, enabled everything, cleared all cache/junk (in both phone and TV) and finally, reversed the process and scanned the code. I can see that my phone is connected but I CANNOT see what I want to see. I'd never recommend this application to any TCL TV owners. Fix the UI, no, change it completely, IT DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING USEFUL.

So disappointed! It work once when I tried it the first time. But then after that, it didn't work anymore. My device is connected to the tv already but when i'm trying to play a video from my phone it wont work, it stops. 😡 poor app. This is the only app for my smart tv You should enhance its capability or remove this as well.

what do you really expect from a low-cost 4k tv? does the job...lags, need 2apps to run a phone remote, limited google play store, and so many more.

I used to connect my TCL tv to my phones data, it worked well without any problem. But 3 months ago, after I updated the app, it stopped working and up to now hasn't been working!!!!! It needs a WiFi connection to another phone or wireless, which isn't available for many people. Fix it please!

Can power on and off TCL TVs. Power on is a little glitchy but works "Networked standby" under "Network & Internet" turned on. Please add the feature so that when we keep pressing an arrow button, the cursor/pointer moves continuously as it is with the physical remote control. Perhaps, this is as simple as "while (buttonPress = true) {moveIt}", I'm not sure. 😁

After the update nothing is working, YouTube doesn't work, Twitch doesn't work, cannot open Google Play store...browser doesn't work. The only app that worked was Netflix... somehow in network setting it says "Connected, no internet" for 2 of my home WiFi spots which have internet and works just fine for my phones...but Funny enough Netflix works for the TV...Can someone tell me what I can do to fix this?

I paid money for TCL screen, and now the company put stupid Ads in their app. This is really stupidand unacceptable. I would not use this app.

Love the app now as i can use my phone hotspot . the problem i have is when it comes to casting videos from the phones memory. There is no option to sort the video files (by date, length, name .....) Also only thumbnails are available without file name. Would love if these functions are added

This app is great, works well, can cast videos from my phone. However, when I cast videos to my tv and my phone screen goes to sleep mode, the playback will be interrupted saying "this video file is unplayable or corrupted" something like that. If it may be possible for the devs to add an option or make the app override the system screen behavior by default to "Always On" it will be the best. For now, I had to set my screen to Never Sleep mode.

This app is really awesome. The only ill-will I have is it does not allow music to be played simultaneously. This means you have to be with the phone to cast another song before it plays it other than that it will stop playing once the first song you cast finishes playing. Please work on that aspect.

It is not user friendly. My TCL TV screen mirroring just stopped connecting when initially it was easier to connect. Then suddenly it just wouldn't. I have an app that does not recognize casting media. So different from my Samsung TV which mirrors my android screen quickly. So confusing!

This app was good. Then overnight it's just not working. My phone & TV are very clearly saying they're on the same network, but it doesn't register that they are, so now I have no control of my TV again (TV remote isn't working even though it's new). I've tried troubleshooting, but no joy 😭

Very nice app! Would've given 5 stars but don't know why, I'm not able to add App shortcuts in Home Page even in this update. Guys please fix this issue. One suggestion, not all songs from my mobile shows in the playlist of Tv while casting music from the app. I hope you'll look into this matter and keepon improving it.

I don't like the new update, before the update I never had a problem connecting the T cast to my TV, now I am having so many issues, I have been unable to connect the two for the last 3 or so hours. I have uninstalled the app & reinstalled it but it's still the same, I have the app on other phone's/ ipad's & they 2 are having the same issues please fix the problem
