T-Mobile NAME ID

Works, some of the time. The app will turn itself OFF after an update, and doesn't notify you that it did so. You just start getting a bunch of spam calls and unless you check the app, or turn off automatic updates for all apps, you will never know if it is still running or not. But even when it does run, it only catches about half of the spam calls I get.

Seems to be blocking some calls, however, the same blocked call shows up 5 to 10 times on the log, all with the same time listed. In a previous review I noticed that in February your response to this was that you were working on it. After 3 months what have you done to fix this? It's very annoying. You want me to sign up for the premium service but you can't even get the free one to work. NOT!

The app works well, except when you get a call with the wrong caller ID showing for who it actually is. You can report the call but there's no way to add more information about the call like writing in who the call is supposed to be from versus who it's listed as. Nowhere to write a short narrative explaining the issue. Checklists aren't good enough.

I get so many scam like calls, one after another one after another, constantly non stop, very annoying. but with scam shield, it detects every single one of them and makes me aware before I anwer those annoying calls. I really like the scam shield app and in the future I will upgrade for more protection. specially that is recommended by Tmobile. at no charge.

Every time they update the app I lose half my allow list (white list) of numbers not to block. They make it a real pain to add your phone contacts on the allow list. When they are not deliberately wrecking the lists the service works great but it is a real hassle to keep making sure my contacts do not get blocked. Even getting a new sim card from tmobile to fix network problems goofed up the list. When I email support they play dumb. Really poor they can not save a list.

The app itself is a scam!! It does nothing and with every upgrade you have to go thru the whole app setup again. Even a simple thing like block number is for premium version. The block capability is already on the call app for free. Judging by this I am pretty certain they're going to ditch that and force their customers to buy the premium on this app for a simple function like block number!

Generally the app does what it is advertised to do to flag suspicious spam calls and allow you block them or any other call you receive. I would rate it higher except for two issues. Sometimes I will receive multiple notifications ( 10 plus) within a minute when I receive a blocked call which is quite annoying. Also, sometimes the activity log stops displaying any new activity, e.g. today, until early this evening, only showed activity up to 4/5 even though I have received blocked calls.

Nuisance calls way, way down using the premium level of this app. Nothing is perfect in an imperfect world, but this app does it's best to reduce no-no incoming calls. Have it on several lines on my account and all users are happy with it. I highly appreciate it & recommend it.

Big problem is that every freaking time that the apps gets an update, it shuts down and does not notify you of that fact.. Mine has been shutdown for over 2 weeks without my knowledge and also it has lost all of my whitelist, blocklist, and settings.. NOT GOOD.!! Absolutely no reason for users to "NOT" be notified.. Now I can't get it to restart.. Just very poor judgment by T-Mobile for a problem that should have been totally foreseeable.. Went from 5-STARS to 2-STARS..

works great for a while then it seems to try to force you to upgrade and pay. if you're not willing to up grade you lose the list of scam calls but it still blocks them and shows it blocked the call but no longer let's you see the list. If they left the basic functions free I would rate it better.

I got message from the developer that I cannot find currently, suggesting that I put my family on the allow list. However, I did that. It still didn't fix the issue of my spouse many time not being able to call or text me. The only thing that corrected it, was to turn off scam shield completely. What a huge mistake for this app.

I have the premium version and it's pretty good, but it seems like some of the scam bots have figured out how to overload the system and get through if they repeatedly call many times in a row. I've had many calls get through that show they were blocked multiple times right before they get through.

it works really quite well. it didn't take any setup because it just took my T-Mobile information for my phone. 5 minutes and it was blocking calls every day. sometimes I get 10 of the same call in a row and it blocks every single one and I don't even know I'm getting those calls which is great. it reduced my spam by about 95%

Great when it works. Frequently app will stop running and you have to open it in order for it though run properly again. But you don't know until you get a call from a number that should be blocked. Every time it goes back through the setup process like you're opening the app for the first time. Also happens after every app update.

I am actually a t-mobile customer and this app doesn't function any better for me than it seems to for other carriers. Call log maintenance is a PITA. There is no way to clear the log in one step or even by blocked call number. 1 call can be listed multiple times with the same time stamp but each instance must be deleted individually. Aggravating, tedious, time consuming & stupid. How hard can it be to add a CLEAR BLOCKED CALLS option for your users?

I don't know if it's a bug in the app or some new scam caller tactic, but it's very common to get 10 to 20, or more, rapid fire notifications about a "blocked call" from the same number. It doesn't mean much if you block the call and still blow up my phone to tell me you blocked it.

1)This is the SECOND time that Scam Shield has shut itself off. I had to set it up again today after I received a private number scam message. I didn't do ANYTHING to shut it off either time. It did it itself!! 2)Users need to be able to add scam numbers or other numbers they want to block at the system level, to Scam Shield. For free. This is a CORE feature, which should not be Premium only. I will NOT pay for anything should already be free!

Overall I am very happy with this app. It seems to block the calls like it's supposed to. That being said, I just received a call which the app blocked like it is intended to do,and popped up a notification of the blocked call. 11 notifications in total to be exact. From the same number that called, at the exact same time. Honestly, I only needed one notification of the blocked call, not 11 of them back to back. This seems to be an ongoing issue. Uninstalled, reinstalled, and still same results

I was constantly getting calls from unfamiliar phone numbers. This was annoying and intrusive to say the least. Scam Shield was a godsend. I no longer had to do anything because this app identified and stopped the culprits. Except for some other great features offered, I took the cheaper route. But in itself, does the job I need to have done. It's a must-have app.

I love this app. It comes in the premium form for certain plans with T-mobile. I did have a few Doctor calls that were reported as spam/scam in the beginning. The only way I know I missed the call is I just happened to go into the app by chance and quickly change it to a good caller. I do believe it was a number I already had in my contacts. But otherwise I couldn't be happier!!

This app alone was worth moving our service to T-Mobile. I used to get a dozen or more spam calls a day. Now, I may get one every couple of days. I love that I can also manage the calls through the app insofar as keeping them blocked, allowing the call, or sending the number to voicemail. It also has the reverse number lookup to check where the number is originating from. Thank you for this service.

It does the blocking fine. What it does NOT do fine is allowing you to manage the numbers ID'ed as scam or nuisance. I have the Premium version, and it should be a lot more robust and user-friendly if TMO is going to shift scam calls management to the end user. I see no lists of numbers to manage anywhere in the app. It just tells me I have 0 Calls to Manage. Which means I can't unblock non-spam numbers at all. Very frustrating.

The app seems OK at blocking calls that it should. However, for the last week, none of the blocked calls are shown in the Activity log, and are not counted in the total count of blocked calls in the last 30 days. That means it will eventually fall to 0 even though calls are blocked. It's irritating that no new block records have been collected for the last week. I still receive notifications - that's the only way I know additional calls are getting blocked.

Doesn't seem to recognize many of the calls and when it does you get a ridiculous number of notifications. I uninstalled this after getting 3 or 4 days worth of phone calls and Scam Shield failed to even recognize that any calls had occurred..... how is it doing anything if it fails to recognize calls that are happening?

So far it's doing exactly what it's supposed be. Not a single robo call has come to my phone, and no annoying expired car insurance voice mails. I really like how you can actually view what was blocked just in case something gets blocked that wasn't supposed to. None have as of yet, fortunately.

Doesn't update old numbers. I've had a home phone number for over a year that still shows up as a verified number for another business. It only shows up incorrectly as a "verified" number when calling T-Mobile customers. No replies from support other than the generic email that a ticket has been opened.

Does a great job filtering scam and telemarketing calls. The app is sometimes unstable and sinceast update it keeps saying "getting things ready" You have to hit the back button to skip this.. otherwise it will never open the actual app

Most outstounding egg in the Easter bskt. After over 2 years as the world LEADER in pathetically SLOW apps suddenly this egg hatched and while still a few feathers short, it's finally running with many of the best and employs several newer features which also keep up with the VASTLY improved operational speed. Even LOAD time no longer allows for a "dinner break." T-Mobile has that historic method of BANG, WOW >GONE!•STILL a cache COW••Oh well, slowing, stalling once AGAIN>5/17/22, par for●●

The blocking of scam calls is good, the scammers are learning ways around it, but over the last 30 days I have over 2000 blocked calls. Only problem is updating the flagged numbers and deleting and clearing the active area. Needs an option to mass update and delete activity information.

Update 5/19. Software is falling down again the last two weeks. Lots of singleton spoof numbers ringing my phone lots of numbers getting flagged after I pick up the phone. Tired of swearing at scammers. Just updating my below comments. My prior review was based on a 50% success rate in stopping spam calls. After an upgrade 2 weeks back we are still at 100%, up to a dozen stops a day. Have completely changed my opinion, good work.
