Seems inaccurate shows notes on the 6th feet for example that are clearly not even close. Although the note can be produced there. Playing a cord that also contains a nite that can be hit at the 6th fret in a different string is not a good thing. This has a long way to go.
horrible. does not score notes correctly. if you areserious about having a written form of your music. dont waste your time!
I had everything written out and it added multiple notes because I bumped my hand against my guitar. I would far rather write things out by hand (which I did anyways) and not deal with an array of wrong notes.
no play button on my editing note, then when i change note the starway to heaven, the sound still same even after i delete all note. very bad
the app is useful if it was accurate but unfortunately it's not accurate at all I play note by note it give me different frett number
Unusable. Cant change the note length. Play button disappeared
super bad, cant even get started cause "notes aren't detected" what a piece app lol
Got the alternative chords options even, good, i am enjoying it.
I originally gave this app 4 stars. I got too excited too quick. Now giving stars.
Really helps with co-writing at a distance
It needs a bass guitar option
The app misses half the notes, pointless
Great idea but need so many improvements
Not worth it....worst app ever...... immediately uninstalled it .....
I figured it would play tabs i create. I WAS WRONG. it makes tabs by me talking. So stupid.
Only for standard tuning :(
How do you use the play back?????
Works, but not very well. It can pick up single notes fine, as long as they aren't preceded by another in quick succession. Picks up power chords around 60% of the time, but will never input more than one entry when strumming. Wish it worked, as the idea is great, but I can see how it'd be extremely difficult to perfect.
I love the concept of this app. Awesome idea. Fix playback so you can choose hearing what you played as real life, or 8-bit. I'd prefer 8 bit playback because for the app to pick up my notes correctly I have to play it slow and one note at a time with no sustain. I'd rather play it and fix it as I edit the tab and add sustain where it should be.
Well, the app may work on slow songs with space between notes, but it seems to struggle with anything aside from that. I just attempted using it to tab out a part of a song i wrote utilizing staccato notes and a fast pace and it didnt even come close to tabbing it accurately. Its an impressive technology, but its gonna need a lot of touchups before itll become more useful than guitar pro or hand tabbing out songs.
Slow motion- so bigginer like me can play it. And Free Tabs- so that many will download and install this app because if they can find an app that can teach them the tab of a song I guess it is more interesting and I know that this app is still updating I wish you all the best...
The developers replied to me and said they're developing that feature. Greatly appreciated that they graciously accept criticism so I will bump it up 2 stars. Thank you, Developers, and continued luck to you
It is a great idea however, the application does not function as intended. Any playing over a practice speed using single notes will not be reflected in the tab. Don't even bother trying any finger picking. I will gladly get this app again, but not until it functions correctly. Sorry guys.
Tabify has a lot going for it. The interface is professional and clean. Adding notes onto the score is easy. You can also notate chord changes above the score which is really neat. The app also features an in-beta record-compose option. Other reviewers say this feature is not exact. However, the guitar has multiple enharmonic regions on the fretboard which allows you to play the same note multiple ways. I tested this feature with a G Major Scale starting with the G on the 3rd fret 6th string. This note was composed as actually being 3rd string open. Both are G's so technically the software transcribed it right. However, one was a G5 and the other was a G4. The rest of the scale was actually pretty spot on. The export feature to Google Drive or Email is a cool idea-- but I'm not sure what file type is currently being exported and I couldn't open it with anything. I'd like to see see a back up feature (maybe through an end user account system) because if I change devices, I want my files to move with me. Finally, the app crashed a few times when I tried to rename something. However, I'm sure it's a bug that will soon be fixed.
As a 20 year guitar player I've thought of some improvement ideas that I will relay privately
Clunky interface, plus a lack of ability to really get specific when writing rhythms. But it records sound to tab, which is pretty nifty.
There were just a few small glitches, all I think is it needs just a lot more sensitivity to get the right tab. Just here and there it'll miss some. Overall, the app is great and does what it's supposed to. I know there's been a WHOLE lotta work put into this. I give you guys a thumbs up 😁👍
