This game has the potential to be 5 stars with a few minor tweaks. Music needs a volume slider, not just an on/off switch and is very generic overall. The "Extreme" setting only seems to add eye-searing Bloom, no extra AA or anything that I can see, unless I'm wrong. Controller does not work in menus. On-screen buttons do not disappear with a controller plugged in. Looking forward to World Tour to see the improvements.
Amazing graphics, good music, and easy to use controls. Good selection of courses and race types. For me there are 2 disappointing aspects of this game. First, you can't just pick the part you want to upgrade. When you go to the garage a part will be available, but might not be the one you'd like to upgrade. Second, while the game is fun, it's clearly designed for in game purchases. It gets boring grinding for coins even though there are many different courses and types of races.
1. It's not a free game (3.49€ atm), I don't remember how I got mine. 2. The game is fun, has good graphics for what it is, the controls are fine and I even like the concept/races/etc. 3. But for me it has 2 major flaws, 1 the grind is very real and boring asF and it's a bit ridiculous, 2 the rubber-band in this game are absurdly insane I even maxed out 2 cars car (minivan and jeep) and even make races without any errors in the 2nd championship the thing are just crazy, it's just too much. :-(
The nickel-and-dime-ing going on in this "Premium" version of the game is ridiculous. Most of the cars cost coins to unlock, but you almost never have enough to do so because upgrades cost so much and you NEED them to stand a chance in tournaments and special races. The "no coin-grind" in the description is a lie. Winning a quick race on nets you at most 1820 coins, which sounds like a lot until you want to upgrade a car and everything costs AT LEAST 5200 coins, and increases each time!
This could've been one of the few good premium games on the Play Store if it was about skill. But It's built around in app purchases. Such that players cant enjoy the game in its entirety if they don't spend real money to upgrade cars. The cars are woefully underpowered for races and currency rewarded in the game is barely enough to upgrade. Not only that but the currency is rewarded only once so even grinding is not an option. Don't buy this over any other similar free to play racing game.
Pros first: this small team of developers made a really good looking game. With no ads in the affordable premium version. But that's already all with the good side. Maybe I'm just not a good racer, or this game still wants you to grind for coins in order to be able to upgrade your car to win the races. The physics are sometimes terrible, not even close to a car or r/c car. Got stuck now in the 3rd championship, many races still complete - but I'm done, uninstalling now. Thx for some hours of fun
Pace and a sense of speed are two different things, and despite an aggravating less-than-frantic pace, there is no sense of speed at all. Smooth and perfect graphics do not always a racer make, and stiff controls, meager rewards, grating sound effects, and some occasional half-hearted modelling and weak AI make this little series of Toyland Time Trials quite bereft of any replayability. I suppose you might get it on a giveaway if you have little kids...
I bought the premium because I thought there'll be a difference to the free version. There's no difference between free and premium so it would be better to have a refund and advice future buyer to stick to free version if they wish to play the game . "Premium" is just a free app in disguise. You don't have perks, free cars or multiplier etc. It's a total scam.
It's a good game but you made it grinding to unlock cars so you can make more 💰💰💰💰💰 even though it's a premium game. It's not because it has Microtransactions the only thing premium is there's no ads also I hope I can get a refund. Maybe next time greed won't get in the way👍
I really love this game, reminds me of revolt mixed with micro machines, but there has been a problem I've encounters on all my phone —be that high end or low — where the coins count slows down the game, so if you have extra coin wheels on the game is unplayable. Anyway apart from that a very fun and enjoyable game.
Not fun, no skill just luck. If you are too good / fast all the npcs are up your backside as if on a leash, if you are slow the npcs slow down a lot. It makes no sense. I won 2 cup races then on the last lap of the third cup i was hit into a wall, emp'd, respawned and then rocketed all on the last corner. What the hell is that?
This game has controller support, but! only during actual game play you'll need to use a mouse or a gamepad that simulate mouse function to navigate through menu 😡 making this a very inconvenient annoying pain! especially if your playing on Android Tv...
A fun little racing game. It's fun and enjoyable, the cars look really cool and the Tokyo Zero car is my favorite because it's great for showing off. Also, is the elimination icon supposed to be a speeding ticket?
I was really looking forward to trying this game out. I downloaded it, and clicked to launch, ready to experience this game. Unfortunately the game won't even launch, it keeps crashing, I can't even make it past the load screen
Hands down the best racing game I've ever played. From the controls to the shortcuts on the maps it's just revolutionary. If the game where to be summarized in one word it would be Awesomeness.
Difficulty spike after the first championship is so big, progressing without upgrading your car is impossible. And guess what? You can buy coins with real money to upgrade your car. I will not spend money on your disgusting, useless and worthless coins, greedy devs. Take this one star instead.
Please let us move where the buttons are! I appreciate that you gave this game away free for a few days, but no matter how I hold my phone, I keep accidentally pausing it. Like constantly. It's too bad, because it's a fantastic game but it needs several minor tweaks to bring it up to the year 2021. Thanks.
Now that micro machines is no more, I tried to find another racing game to fill the void. I tried alot and must say that this one is awesome! Simple and alot of fun. I have completed it but still enjoy playing. It is my fav mobile game at the moment. I would recommend this to anybody. Bring on a sequel...!! :)
No multiplayer? I saw this and was delighted with its likeness to micromachines from back in the day only to be disappointed with its lack of a multiplayer option. I have an Nvidia Shield TV and this could be so much fun to play with friends. It's such a shame.
2nd Time buying love the game and no ads or unnecessary access like so many other games spent the extra 1.99 for coins to get myself to where I used to be in the game huge amount of coins for the little cost well worth the cost of paid game and the one time purchase of the extra coins bought 3 cars and most of all the extra wheels
Bad controls, annoying UI and I keep getting an error message about some Google service that's not installed on my phone every time I open the game. Not worth it.
Oh how I hate this game now! It has a lot of frame drops, no matter what graphics quality I choose. And also the touch steering is worse than garbage. Half the time it doesn't register my touches and the car just drives straight on over the edge. Proper steering seems like an important thing in an agility game. These problems in conjunction make the game completely unplayable.
