This app can be very frustrating at times (at least for me, an Android user) -- there are times where this app recognizes my Pro subscription and other times when it doesn't. And even when it does, there have been times where the voices I've assigned to characters no longer work, no matter how much I toggle the voice settings/selections/etc though the voices assigned to another script would work just fine. It's can be super glitchy and a time-suck.
Yayyy everything got fixed! So happy because this app is a life saver. I love casting different voices and picking out the score. It really does make scripts come to life. It is a must have if you're reading scripts all the time! Plus the team was super helpful when I was having problems with it. And it's all fixed.😊 Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
This app worked a few months ago just fine. However, for the last month it continues to fail at importing revised scripts:(
Honestly this app is amazing, took a bit to get it to read my pdf properly, but I got it. Having different voices is great, in response to the other comments about robotic voices, THAT IS HOW TEXT TO SPEECH IS! Like Jesus the entitlement is hilarious. This is the next best thing to having 10 people in a room reading in different voices. The only thing that would take this to the absolute next level is if you could trigger the scores to play at different times throughout the script to make a wicked read. Other than that great app.
Room for improvement. But a very useful app as is. Score and many voices are good extras. will be nice when voices are not so computery.
Update has made app great again. Now can we have a way to update the pdf already loaded? This is helpful so I don't have to start "casting" all over again when i make revisions or corrections
I uploaded a script and it prompts the name, but when I push "read script" nothing happens. please help. cant get pro version if free version isnt working.
Tried the pro version, didn't like it. Voices and pronunciation are terrible and not what I was expecting... Shame really, I had high hopes!
Used to work fine. Now constant crashing. Cancelled subscription.
Placing the PDF Library button directly on the home button on Android makes the app completely unusable.
It didn't load anything, at all. I emailed twice and still no response.
Says every script doesn't have text on it. My fingers are pdfs
All bugs from the recent Android update are fixed.
Useless, scanned my script and it said there was no text

Great concept but the voices are horrendous. It's like a bunch of androids reading. There are plenty of text to speech that sound very normal these days. The robotics voices are unacceptable especially for a subscription model.
Waiting for this app for a while now. I am glad it's released for Android. Subscribed to pro. They fixed all the issues with the app just within few days after I had an email conversation with them. Thanks!
tableread is an awesome app! It's helpful to writers and readers alike. As a writer, you can upload a work-in-progress and hear it with a new set of ears to find what's working and what's not. As a reader, you can experience more scripts in a shorter span of time, allowing you to learn the craft of screenwriting faster.
After emailing someone related to the app for help, I was able to get some clarity. I'm liking the app a whole lot more. Wish there were more eclectic and cultural voices to download but for now, it's good.
It keeps crashing and apparently there is no way around it. I have tried reinstalling it several times and it doesn't work. It's frustrating because i have a paid subscription and can't use it.
