Tachograph - assistant trucker
The Tachograph app has detailed tips on all modes of operation and timers.
When following instructions and prompts, the Tachograph app will not allow violation of work and rest schedules.
The app has a convenient journal where all your shifts are automatically recorded, so you no longer need a notebook for shift records.
Just switch the modes of the app in accordance with what you are doing (Driving/Rest/Work/POA), and the app itself will start the necessary timers and show you all the necessary information.
To switch between work and rest modes, the app has buttons with corresponding names:
- Driving
- Rest
- Work
- POA
Hints on modes of operation can be called by pressing the symbol (?) when selecting any of the modes of operation.
There are 9 timers in the main window of the program:
- Total time 13/15
- Continuous driving 4:30
- Break 0:15/0:45
- daily driving 9/10
- Daily rest period 9/11
- Weekly driving 56
- Weekly rest period 24/45
- Two-week driving 90
- Weekly time 144
All timers start automatically, depending on the selected mode of operation.
By clicking on the name of the timer and the symbol (?) you can call a hint for any of the timers.
By going to Menu - Journal you can view and edit the records of all your saved shifts.
Description of the journal is: Menu - Journal - Journal menu.
A hint for the shift editor is: Menu - Journal - Shift - Shift Menu.
The app is designed taking into account:
- Regulation of the European Parliament and Council (EU) No. 561/2006;
- European Agreement Concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles engaged in International Road Transport (AETR);
- Directives of the European Parliament and Council 2002/15/EC.
To work with the app, you must have a general knowledge of these laws.
The app is translated into the following languages:
- Russian
- Ukrainian
- English.

Brilliant app, the GPS on these alternative tacho apps are not accurate as this apps also states but when you end the day, the fact you can just push in driving time that your print out says it is amazing, so your getting accurate information, which you can't do with trucktimer or tacho guard, love the journal view as well, subbed for the year, hope to see some updates as I have to keep typing in UK to search country everyday slightly annoying as it could be in a saved list, which is only seems to save for the end country, all in all brilliant software !! The best. Thanks developers keep up the good work.
I've only used it for a week but it seems pretty good. My only criticism is that the GPS doesn't always seem to sense the vehicle moving or stopping and switch the app to "driving" or "other work" This means that I've had to manually adjust my driving time, which kind of defeats the point of the app in the first place. I think I've paid for a subscription but I'm not sure.
Very good app. I do not use driving with GPS mode. I found that going back to the journal and updating times manually is the most correct way of using the app. It would be nice to have 9h continuous work counter in the same way as 6h, but maybe this will added in the future. That would help if you do multi drop work and take 15min to comply WTD...
5 stars took it out a test and the gps stops and starts almost identical to the tachograph i have tried 3 or 4 other apps and they fail because the gps is not accurate and they apps dont let you manually fix the time delay, but this app has manual entry so even if the gps is out by 10 or 20 minutes you will be able to go in and alter the delay so that alone gets the thumbs up, looking forward to using this going forward, and the editor was great and replied to my questions quickly by email in less than 24hrs, excellent app and very accurate well done to the developer keep up good work
Unfortunately, even if I allowed permission to run in background, as soon as I exit the app, the Driving on GPS stops working. Is beeping twice as GPS connection lost. If I go back in the app, is beeping twice again as GPS connection found. Really really annoying and disappointing.
As a person who has just started to use a digital tachograph it has given me the practice and understanding of which buttons to press, because even on the CPC course it does not cover enough for the complete beginner.
Instructions are a little unclear, would have been better if there was a YouTube video on how to use the app for manual entry at start and end of shift.
1. No dark mode on all screens (only main screen)? 2. No ferry/boat mode with 1 hour Shunt timer. 3. Sound test doesn't work when pressed? 4. Incorrect warnings about reduced weekly rest even if compensated. 5. Other users complain about the application failing to function correctly when the screen closes. 6. Other users complain about the GPS failing to function correctly when the application runs in the background. .::. Lazy dev hasn't responded to users requests since late 2018. .::.1 muddy✴️
The app works well apart from the GPS mode. GPS symbol constantly red, apparently it should be black. Would be 5 stars if this would work. Any advise to resolve this issue would be welcome.
Great little app that keeps you the right side of the law. Picks up the change from work/driving with ease and the display is clear to understand.

Good using app will not update the app when automatically switching between drive and work if the app is running in the background. You need the app to running and displayed for the GPS to be on to switch automatically.
It's OK. Personally more fond of TachoGuard which has a nicer interface and look. And does the same with the added option of doing it automatically....
Was a brilliant app until one day the GPS is no longer working so have to put everything in manually now. Please fix, I've tried everything.
As times it's ok but in today's working environment full GPS functionality is required and really is a must for drivers to fully record their working day activities. So only a three star review for this app. No longer installed.
Good, very helpful. I give 4 star because no English version in new phone (old phone had English version) also need always screen on another way GPS not working but good for counting time Dobra aopka dla poczatkojacych kierowców czytelna i liczy czas
It's a life saver...but gps not working while the app is in background (thats why 3 stars)...so sad!!! Is there any way to make the gps work even while in the background? Thank you! Can someone please ask the developer to write his reply in a international language? Thank you?
So far I'm confused but in a good way.... Can you put a video on how to work this obviously extremely good app... Any video would be so helpful as I'm stupid and find drivers hour tachograph thing so confusing...

Great app... I have installed it on my tablet will the subscription carry on or will I have to pay again. I've cancelled app from my phone just got it on tablet under same username... Many thanks
Not a bad app to be honest, the driving times need looking at because the tacho head said 1:15 and the app said 1:47 so you have to manually adjust it.
Download but would not load so never got to try but if can't load now what chance got when going to use to record hours when won't load up deleted app try someone else
Very handy if you want to keep an eye on your working, driving and rest hours.
Even if you just need it to record you drive/work/rest times it's great. Really easy to use
Uninstalled. Unable to use GPS in trial version. How am I supposed to evaluate the app without GPS?
A great app that makes times management clear and easy, especially for novice drivers. No more using tons of paper to write it all down. Once you have developed a habit of setting the app alongside the built in vehicle tachograph its times are pretty accurate to the vehicle times, and in case of smaller deviations you can always sync the app times to your real times manually.
